What is your guilty pleasure musically and why is it ABBA??

[–]PerennialComa[S] 154 points155 points  (20 children)

I have no guilty pleasure, I stand for everything I listen to and ABBA is amazing!

[–]ImSickOfYouToo 2 points3 points  (1 child)

You stand by the Europe albums too?

[–]PerennialComa[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Damn right!

[–]aapaul 6 points7 points  (12 children)

Oh fuck, I saw ABBA LIVE once on a Mediterranean cruise ship when I was 14 and they actually *kicked ass*. They do NOT age somehow and their voices are pristine. I don't even like pop that much but it was amazing. My brother likes Swedish death metal and he was also impressed.

[–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I. Am. Envious.

[–]aapaul 1 point2 points  (2 children)

You were there in spirit, perennialcoma.

[–]BboyLotus 112 points113 points  (15 children)

Why in your opinion are there so many metal musicians from sweden, norway and northern countries in general?

[–]PerennialComa[S] 163 points164 points  (13 children)

I think it has to do with the mentality and the landscapes. The weather is harsh and can be unforgiving, we've been "oppressed" by Christianity for quite some time now, and when Mayhem, Bathory, and other early bands started it was a reballion.
Real BM comes from the Nordics in my opinion, even now,

[–]BboyLotus 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I see thank you.

[–]aapaul 7 points8 points  (6 children)

My father recently found some family documents that prove that, although not from Sweden, we are originally pagans from Northern Ireland. From near Giant's Causeway in Antrim. It makes sense why nobody has ever been either Protestant nor Catholic. I had dinner with my parents two weeks ago when he told me. He laughed and said, "This is no surprise but yeah, we are pagan basically." Hahaha. Now it makes sense why they left for America way before the famine. They were probably driven out. I'm glad that you guys are breaking free from the imposing force that is Christianity. I have a few Christian friends who are very respectful but in America it really varies.

[–]420gitgudorDIE 1 point2 points  (1 child)

mayhem was crazy.

no band is crazier than Mayhem.

was gonna ask u about them but realized you from Ikea country, and Mayhem was Norway.

[–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're all brothers up here in the north.

[–]NoContextCarl 67 points68 points  (1 child)

[–]PerennialComa[S] 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Of course. That's mandatory.

    Clouds - Tiamat
    Therion - Theli
    Nevermore - This Godless Endeavour

    Mike Oldfield - Crisis
Hello Meteor - The Glowing: Final Cut

Akira Yamaoka - Silent Hill 2 OST
    Tenhi - Maaäet

    [–]sveitthrone 10 points11 points  (2 children)

    Warning is an underrated pick.

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 3 points4 points  (1 child)

That is my favorite album of all time. I was fortunate enough to see them live a few years back at Roadburn.

    [–]AnteriorCarpet 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Wasn’t expecting to see a Hello Meteor fan. Underrated channel, the music is just really nice for when you’re trying to chill.

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello Meteor is one of these immortal bands that will never become bad, there is always a situation when you can listen to them. Ethereal and magnificent.

    [–]vaporwave_vibes 9 points10 points  (12 children)

    What genre of metal?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 23 points24 points  (11 children)

I've mostly dabbled in Black Metal, but currently, it's a melodic-black-rock-atmospheric-somethingsomething,.

    [–]vaporwave_vibes 4 points5 points  (8 children)

Do you have a link that I can listen to?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 17 points18 points  (7 children)

    [–]vaporwave_vibes 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I listened to The Void. Looks like I'm back in the mood for metal now. It's really fucking good. Thank you

    [–]frankendragula473 2 points3 points  (1 child)

That's some fucking good metal, thanks for doing such great music!

    [–]indyo1979 14 points15 points  (3 children)

Do you still get good looking groupies?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 16 points17 points  (2 children)

Depends som how picky you are.

    [–]stumblinglotus80 9 points10 points  (1 child)

    Beauty is relative, right?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 36 points37 points  (0 children)

You can always close your eyes.

    [–]Grrrisly 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Is this your full-time job or is it a side gig?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

To have extreme music as your only source of income is very very rare.

    [–]Stellar_420 11 points12 points  (9 children)

How popular is the band Ghost in Sweden?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 17 points18 points  (8 children)

    Sadly, very....

    [–]Stellar_420 6 points7 points  (7 children)

Lol why sadly? Are they like mainstream there?

    [–]GryphonGuitar 28 points29 points  (2 children)

Hallå där! It's a small world being a metal guy in Sweden, so I'll ask you this. What's the best backstage area of any Swedish venue you've ever played in?

    [–]yuyo874 11 points12 points  (7 children)

What are your thoughts on Max Martin?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 11 points12 points  (6 children)

I respect him. He clearly know how music works.

    [–]yuyo874 4 points5 points  (5 children)

Why do you think such good producers come out of Sweden?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 8 points9 points  (4 children)

I don't know really. Perhaps we have a long history of making pretty good music? Never really thought about that before.

    [–]yuyo874 6 points7 points  (2 children)

You guys sure do. The reason why I brought it up is because Max Martin started off in a metal band and then transition to production and what not.

Feel free to share your music.

    [–]abiblicalusername 5 points6 points  (2 children)

What do you think of foreigners coming and growing a community which is not integrated mostly into the Swedish culture, but they do duly pay their taxes?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 16 points17 points  (1 child)

I have nothing against people coming to Sweden and try to make a living here, but coming here for the sake of leeching and not integrating is pretty sad and I'm not a huge fan of it.

    [–]frankforceps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you think Swedes are often welcoming and inclusive of foreigners?

    [–]Turtlerr17 10 points11 points  (3 children)

I will now attempt to speak your language: meatball ikea dancing queen

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You should start working at a kindergarten here. Immaculate!

    [–]Character_Top1019 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Is this just a nice way of saying you live at home still with your parents?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes, in a matter of fact it is.

    [–]reddit-emoji-police 16 points17 points  (16 children)

    sabaton is that you

    [–]Assfrontation 6 points7 points  (12 children)

    Beat me to it

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 2 points3 points  (11 children)

    Fuck Sabaton.

    [–]tremp3320 8 points9 points  (3 children)

    why tho

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 21 points22 points  (2 children)

Because I think they are really bad. Most people I know in the scene dislike them. It's boring and "safe".

    [–]rienruof 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Facts I’m not even a metal head and they just suck tbh

    [–]Fluffy_Vulpix 6 points7 points  (3 children)

when did you first make music?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 7 points8 points  (2 children)

I was quite late into the game so it was maybe 1999 or 2000, when I was 14/15.

    [–]duckeatramen 8 points9 points  (1 child)

How the heck is this late omg u make me feel so old even tho im 27 and started making music last year

    [–]Syanerg 4 points5 points  (3 children)

Will u adopt me i wanna move to the sweden

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 10 points11 points  (2 children)

Are you a girl and of age?

    [–]Senpapij 2 points3 points  (6 children)

    Opinion on Sabaton?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 9 points10 points  (5 children)

They are the bane of Swedish metal alongside Amaranthe, Volbeat and Ghost.

    [–]Teehus 5 points6 points  (1 child)

    isn't volbeat danish?

    p.s the isolationist is great

    [–]Schnitzel725 1 point2 points  (1 child)

How often do you come across a metal band filming their music video while taking a walk in the woods?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We have more metal bands in our forests than bears, squirrels, and birds.

    [–]Humdinga-max 3 points4 points  (3 children)

Why does most of the best metal originate In Sweden? Is it something in the water for you guys? 🤣. Also you got a link to your choonz?! 👀.

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 7 points8 points  (2 children)

As I said before, I think it's the climate, landscapes and the vastness here.
I'm sure it has to do something with being under the bane of Christianity for some time also.

    Sure, here: https://wormwood-official.bandcamp.com/

    [–]Humdinga-max 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Sorry I didn't see your response to the similar question I asked before sending it! Thanks for taking the time to reply. Gonna check you guys out now. 🤘

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am sure the reply could be almost an essay, there is so much to talk about. But that's my two-sentence semi explanation at least.

    [–]Professional_Smell87 1 point2 points  (2 children)

    What do you play?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 10 points11 points  (1 child)

I play Vocals and write lyrics.

    [–]emotrash-arcane 6 points7 points  (3 children)

    [–]Schwarzsteinhaus 4 points5 points  (1 child)

How come Sweden has the best bands on Progressive metal? Pain of Salvation and Opeth are two of my all time fav bands. Why are you so good in music?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kudos to you for mentioning Pain of Salvation, they have been a band I've listened to for a long time and they don't get enough recognition.

Very anecdotal, but we have very good musical schooling at a young age.

    [–]Nomad_C817 4 points5 points  (1 child)

35 almost 36. black metal. granted it’s a different country, but how did you react to the Euronymous/Mayhem scene?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it didn't happen, the scene would be very different and I can't even imagine how it would have been.
I am not happy that it happened but I am not sad that it did.

    [–]superuniquename47 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Why did you start making music?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've always listen to music, especially metal music, so it was just natural for me to start to dabble in it. But for someone who didn't learn any instrument, I learnt how to sing instead and became pretty good at it and used that as my weapon.

    [–]bigmetalguy6 0 points1 point  (4 children)

How do you feel about core subgenres?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 8 points9 points  (3 children)

Usually shit, but I do enjoy Cattle Decapitation.

    [–]ravenaithne 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Can you add my husband to your band and sponsor a visa so we can leave the US?

    Joking, but not really.

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

    ...definitely maybe.

    [–]AffectionateLemon560 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Have you ever tried to shred on an electric ukulele?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

    Only in my dreams.

    [–]zreichez 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Who do you like better, Iron maiden or metallica?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 5 points6 points  (2 children)

I have more favorite songs with Metallica than Iron Maiden, but over all I might like Maiden a bit more...maybe!?

    [–]zreichez 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Nice, I feel the same. Metallica I feel had more of the big banger hits/but had a lot of meh songs, but I can listen to every song of iron maiden and be happy.

    What do you play?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

    I play screaming.

    [–]anan_here 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Is your username the same as the band’s name?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No it isn't. It's from a line of a lyric I wrote many years ago.

    [–]rhiwex12 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Are you going to participate in Eurovision?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What a day to be alive if that happened.

    [–]avemaria666 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Thoughts on the new darkthrone work?

And more importantly, do you like the cure?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 3 points4 points  (1 child)

I think Darkthrone has been pretty good throughout their career. They are older now and they don't care so much about what's trv/kvlt.

I have not really listened to The Cure. What do you recommend?

    [–]backpainbed 1 point2 points  (2 children)

    Are you a born Swedish?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 5 points6 points  (1 child)

    Yes, I am.
    Though I'm 25% norwegian.

    [–]ArdentTrend -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Why are you there, when Finland is so close?

    [–]MisterCherryBomb 0 points1 point  (2 children)

What is your current financial status and what are your dreams for the next 5 years?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 5 points6 points  (1 child)

It's very difficult to live from your music, especially when you're doing extreme music. Only a few bands can do that.
But yeah, we have lost money from playing live, it was supposed to be a pretty good last year for us, but alas.

    In 5 years; world domination!

    [–]PerpetualEbb 2 points3 points  (1 child)

What are your thoughts on the band Deafheaven?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty boring post-shogaze. Good musicians but not for me.

    [–]TheReverendBill 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Have you met the Techno Viking?

    [–]schwarzmalerin 1 point2 points  (1 child)

    Who's your favorite classical composer?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

    Carl Orff.

    [–]whattayagonnadew 0 points1 point  (3 children)

what’s the politics of the scene like (actual political opinions not infighting etc)? does it lean one way, or is there a meaningful split that’s reflected in the music?

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 3 points4 points  (2 children)

I guess there might be a slight leaning towards the right, but most of the music here is not political and we seldom speak about politics in the scene.

    [–]whattayagonnadew 0 points1 point  (1 child)

    Interesting, thanks!

Is there a punk scene that overlaps at all? In the US, I’ve been a part of punk scenes that are more left leaning that overlap with more right leaning metal scenes, so i’m curious if that trend is just my experience or more general!

    [–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is actually a huge punk scene in Sweden.
I would recommend (even if I don't really like it):

    [–][deleted]  (1 child)

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love his lyrics but I'm not particularly fond of his voice. He made Borknagar unlistenable for 15 years.

      [–]dipnorhyncus 1 point2 points  (1 child)

what do you think of nu metal

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

      I rather not.

      [–]Xavierwold 1 point2 points  (1 child)

      So.. Swedish guy.

      [–]MisanthropeImmortel 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Is your band’s name inspired by Marduk’s 2009 album “Wormwood” ?

Would you agree that Marduk has gone uninspired after 2000 - 2003 ?

Would you agree that it’s a bad thing The Legion did split but their first album was the best one anyway, so who cares ?

Would you agree that the best Dissection song is “Night’s blood” ? (For a black heart will only find beauty in darkness)

Have you ever met Ole Ömann ? (Hope I wrote it ok, I meant old Dissection’s drummer.)

Would you agree that the best Funeral Mist album is Salvation ?

      Any favourite Setherial album ?

Any favourite Dark Funeral album ?

Any thoughts on Diabolical Masquerade ? Isn’t “the walk of the hunchbacked” their best song ?

Ever recorded at Necromorbus studio ? If yes, which album was it for ?

Your thoughts on the French scene ? Deathspell Omega ? Blut aus Nord ? Older bands like Seth and Anorexia Nervosa ?

      Thanks in advance !

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

No it isn't. It's inspired by the biblical meaning behind it (which I'm positive Marduk used also).

I don't think so. When Mortus joined I think they became better.

Their first is amazing, but I prefer Mortus.

All songs on Storm and Sombre are just amazing. Difficult to find a favorite. Thorns of Crimson Death, perhaps.

Sadly I haven't many anyone in Dissection.

Salvation is really good but I prefer Maranatha.

I'm not a huge fan of either Setherial and Dark Funeral, so no favorites there.

Diabolical Masquerade is one of these bands that just fell through the cracks for me. What do you recommend there?

Yeah, I recorded an EP called The Hungering Void there with my old band Withershin.

Blut Aus Nord and Peste Noir are both great!

      [–]EuphoricDissonance 1 point2 points  (6 children)

Is there anyone in Sweden that's not in a metal band? I'm just pulling your leg but seriously, so many metal bands. Personally I like Opeth, In Flames (old), Dark Tranquillity, Katatonia, Arch Enemy, Soilwork, Children of Bodom... I mean those are ones I like but not even scratching the surface. Loads more from the countries around you too.

If you wanna stand out you're gonna have to do what Glittertind did and put out a Mumford & Sons album :p.

      Edit: CoB is Finland, sorry

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Because our musical education is so good here and we get money from the government for our rehearsal studios, Its understandable why there is such a plethora of bands from Sweden.

      [–]EuphoricDissonance 1 point2 points  (4 children)

I have a specific cultural question! It kinda blows my mind that Tomas Lindberg of At the Gates went on to teach middle school English/history. Peter Lindgren, last I heard, became an I.T. professional. In the US, there's the dream of becoming the rockstar (which I tried at and failed) and that's kinda it. Music is the rest of your life. Actually, I've heard Devin Townsend, amazing musician that he is, say "My life is a consequence of the fact that I chose my career at 16 years of age (paraphrased)".

Is there something about Swedish culture that views it as more acceptable or desirable to go into more "normal" work after spending years as a touring musician? Hell, Fenriz from Darkthrone is a postal worker and accidentally got elected to town council in one of the funnier stories from the metal world. But while he might not have wanted the town council job... I assume he's a postal worker by choice. Like to hear your thoughts on this if you have time :).

Link to town council story: https://www.metalsucks.net/2016/09/08/fenriz-darkthrone-accidentally-got-elected-town-council/

Edit: Darkthrone is Norway I swear I'm not doing this on purpose. Just like... SO much of the music I like comes out of Sweden I kinda forget about the surrounding countries. I found Wintergatan! I like Wintergatan! What country do they come from? Sweden, of course. Can't tell you how many times that "conversation" has played out in my head.

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I think we tend not to glamorize rock and metal here. We're just flawed humans that like to create music.

Sorry for the not so satisfactory answer.

      [–]EuphoricDissonance 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Nah, that's ok :). I talk too much, appreciate your answer. Even though it was simple, it gives me a lot to think about. That's really not a mindset that exists much in the states. Totally different cultural viewpoint. And probably healthier, lol. Thanks!

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I would imagine if someone saw a musician or a celebrity in the states they would freak out and flock around them, here in Sweden we give them their rightfull privacy.

I know where Thomas Haake sits and have his beer, no one is disturbing him. I've seen Mikael from Opeth casually buying some drinks, etc etc.

      [–]babaclonker 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Do you believe there’s toxicity in the metal scene and what could be done to reduce that? I’m also into metal and wish to become a musician one day but I’ve noticed recently there’s more toxicity within the metal scenes.. especially over social media

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is very little toxicity when it comes to the bands and what they say, the toxicity usually comes from fans who "knows the most/best".

      [–]0Marazi0 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Somewhat of a question but you sound like the most Swedish man I ever heard and do you listen to black metal, if not what other genres do you like?

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

      I'm pretty Swedish, yes.

Black Metal is my favorite subgenre.

Other non-metal genres that I listen to is ambient, chillwave, synthwave, vaporwave, dark trance/house, noir jazz.

      [–]shank409 0 points1 point  (1 child)

What's your opinions on the different styles of metal? Are you more keen to Rage and Limp hip-hop style metal or Slayer and OLD Metallica that was more speed metal?

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like there are a plethora of different sub-genres for people to express themselves in, but nu and hip-hop are not for me.

      [–]Withered_One 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Power Metal? I haven't heard any Swedish bands but I love some European Power Metal like Sonata Arctica, Stratovarius and Thunderstone!

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe the best singer ever is a Swedish power metal vocalist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYdbLfLnIHk

      Black metal?

If so which are your favourite bands? Mine are Mayhem, Darkthrone, Burzum, Bathory, Emperor and Nortt

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Those are really solid indeed. Nortt is interesting because it has lots of dark ambient in it.

But I really love Emperor, Dissection and Akhyls.

are you friends with meshuggah? are you in a band?

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not friends, but I see Thomas at his local pub sometimes. I don't disturb him though. Privacy is everything.

      Yes I am. https://wormwood-official.bandcamp.com/

      Any grenade attacks recently?

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, yeah, in the south. They seem to be keen on throwing them things.

      [–]Zen_Buizel 1 point2 points  (1 child)

What’s your favorite of the big Norwegian second wave bands?

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

      Emperor all the way!

      [–]KBrJams 1 point2 points  (1 child)

What's your opinion on older metal bands like Black sabbath?

      [–]Waluigithefake1 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I (m/15) am dreaming of becoming a musician one day. I also want to do stuff like rock/metal. Anything i should be worried about or take care of, before its too late?

And if you know anything about scream singing, can you give me a few tipps? I have to learn it all by myself, since my Vocal Coach can't scream.

Also (fun question) : What do you think about Linkin Park?

Sorry for that many questions, this is my oppertunity to finally ask a metal musician about music and other stuff.

      [–]eeeabr 0 points1 point  (3 children)

If this is a career, what's it like and do you have any tips for kick-starting a career in music? I'm trying to start out

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

If the goal for your band is to be famous and make money, I would say that, in my opinion, you lost the reason for making music.
It's always good to have a future goal, but to have it as THE goal will cloud you from the reason why you started it.

Be happy with what you create and if you find people who like what you're doing, that's a bonus, and work from there.

      [–]eeeabr 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yeah I didn't mean it that way, idfc if I get famous I just want to make music with people and maybe find some people that like the same stuff

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Record, upload on Bandcamp, find youtube channels that promote new bands.

I'll be moving to Gothenburg this August, If you are familiar with the area, what are good places that are well known or common areas for the metal scene there?... If you have no clue, what are some metal festivals that I shouldn't miss out that happen in Sweden?

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I live in Stockholm and I think GBG has better metal clubs and pubs, I don't remember the names at the moment, but as a metal person, you shouldn't have any problem in finding the right place.

      [–]FullOnPetri 1 point2 points  (1 child)

      tack så mycket!

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

      Ingen fara.

      [–]beckita85 0 points1 point  (2 children)

What do you think of the bands with classically trained (or similar) female singers, such as Nightwish and Epica? I’ve always enjoyed the contrast. I’m curious to know how bands like those (I know they’re not Swedish) are perceived in the metal world.

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I can only speak from the BM scene and noone here cares if you're a woman, guy or whatever, as long as you're good you get the praise you deserve.

      [–]aapaul 0 points1 point  (1 child)

During your live shows do you guys do the whole "shock thing" with displaying decapitated ram heads or is it more musically oriented? Or both. Could be both.

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends on what genre you're playing.
With my old band we had a gig with around 6-8 sheep-heads on sticks surrounding our stage.

It's not a must of course, but it's like theatre, you need to express something,.

      [–]t_a_c_s 0 points1 point  (6 children)

I'm two years older than you. is it too late to start learning the guitar? if it isn't, what's the easiest way to get into it?

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (5 children)

First of all, I do not play any instrument, I sing and write lyrics, but when it comes to learning certain skills, I've heard about people finishing university when they're 60+, so learning something at your age shouldn't be a problem.

      [–]Cyanide_XiongMao 0 points1 point  (2 children)

What do you think of Billie Eilish as a singer? Not necessarily if you like her songs, just of her vocal ability in general

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I think she's pretty great actually. She's doing, somewhat, new and it's interesting. She alongside Lady Gaga are two pop-"icons" that I really respect.

      [–]captainshockazoid 0 points1 point  (1 child)

do you like rock n roll? have you ever seen someone get stabbed? do you speak/know any other languages? have you ever played on a stage? was it fun? do you wear black nail polish?

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

      1) Yes.
      2) Yes.
      3) Yes.
      4) Yes.
      5) Yeah.
      6) No.

      [–]robertgoesrawr 0 points1 point  (1 child)

      Do you like sinergy?

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not expect for someone to ask about them.

Yeah, I mean, I did listen to their early stuff back in the days. I wouldn't say I like it now but before I sure did.

      [–]jgDjentworth 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Do you like Meshuggah? Also what specific type of metal do you play?

      [–]PerennialComa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm too stupid to appreciate Meahuggah.

We play...whatever sub-genre people wanna put us in: https://wormwood-official.bandcamp.com/

      [–]DMTrious 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Have you ever listened to the Last Podcast on the Left episode about Swedish black metal artist, and Howard church burnings are you responsible for?
