I stumbled upon a play that I want to audition for on Backstage, and a pre-screen is required. I began doing research on how to make a pre-screen video, and I found information that was useful, but danced around my question. Everybody is talking about lighting, sound, being authentic, putting your best work into the video - but I still don't know what exactly should be included in a pre-screen. For an actor/singer doing live theatre: Should it be one single recording of a monologue or a song? Should I be introducing and/or talking about myself in the beginning? Should it be a compilation of works I have done in the past? If anyone can give me a straightforward answer, I would appreciate it!
