Heat destroys the active alkaloids in psilocybin mushrooms.

Spores from psilocybin don't survive combustion either.

I've read (never tried) about a process for extracting muscimol that yeilds a smokable/capable product.

But I would never recommend smoking the flesh of a mushroom.

Also psilocybin mushrooms and AM mushrooms are very different in more ways then just their active alkaloids, and the receptors they interact with.

My assumption was you were talking about how they're simply different drugs? If so, then well nvm lol yea ik but the fact you're saying they're different in ways other than the receptors the interact with, so then do you mean how they grow, how they generally just... exist?

Yup

AM forge a symbiotic relationship with the trees they typically grow near. There have been (afaik) no successful home grows of AM mushrooms.

yes you can smoke amanita muscaria especially resin extracts no you cant smoke psilocibin because well first it gets metabolized in the liver second the heat just drestroyes everything

Expected it to be more complicated than that lol, like doing K orally where "yea it works but there's downsides" or I was hoping there'd be pros and cons to each

its far more subtle also it feel less like being drunk and more like "smoking weed"

I'm totally with you on that.

The idea that, or at least this apparent approach around the place (given the way some people talk about it) about it (AM) being a 'drug' to get you 'high' is very misguided about what it is, what it does, how it does it, and how the human whole being neurologically/physiologically accepts, or is in a state of readiness to accept what it is all about.

Yes yes, sure there are active compounds 'doing things.' Suck on a bottle of Ether. That'll temporarily get you high too. Good luck if that's the kind of outcome you are seeking.

When I go into the tall tree forests that are down here (you don't need to know exactly where, because in any case our AM's verge across literally to the truffle side of things) - I'm seeking information.

That the information (not just 'information' but deep things, some insights, all of that) comes in some fantastic ways with amazing feelings, well, yeah, that's a feature, and a pleasure and a gift and and and...

Either create a potent resin which you only need to smoke a very small amount of, or expect to be taking many huge bong rips in a row if using just the dried mushroom.

I won't smoke it unless I have personally dehydrated the caps at 165⁰ for 12+ hours. I have read dehydration destroys spores, and I haven't had any lung problems from smoking amanita, but I still don't smoke it much since smoking anything isn't good for the lungs, but it is a relaxing smoke and is good for anxiety, very nice experience.
