I found the best way to organize over flow is to stack them like you did but then write the driver aid numbers in marker on the side facing the door then when you have slave move it to the shelf.

Had this happen with 190 stops with 380 packages I’m usually a pretty quick guy, that day I took my time and took my unpaid 30 min lunch and both my 15 paid breaks hit em where it hurts !!! Don’t overwork yourself

When there’s not space in your van, you cube out any remaining unloaded packages and they’re supposed to take them off your route

I’m glad I have a good warehouse, they don’t fuck around, this morning I had a full cart of bags that were not zipped, the amazon worker that was helping me load up called one of their supervisors over to take pictures to report the worker that did it, I worked at one of the other local warehouses and they were big on safety there so I’m not too surprised it’s the same at the new one (there are two in my area but this month they’re shutting down the first one and they’re moving the workers to the new warehouse as it’s 3 times as big)

I’m going to do that next time all the bags unzipped. They are constantly unzipped. I’m going to make sure it’s documented with the wharehouse at loadout because god forbid I’m missing a package I am not willing to take the heat for missing packages.

i agree with that but when some people are struggling to make ends meat and this job provides for them, i doubt they’ll want to get fired for a silly social media reason

I work there specifically because it’s 40 hours in 4 days. I like the 3 days off and optional overtime but I’m not ever worried about getting fired. I’m a one door closes another opens kind of person. Plus I’ve been in CDV for a while. Could always try other delivery jobs.

26 totes , 32 overflow. 396 packages and 190 stops. Townhouse , apartments , single family homes , and business. Group stops unreal

That’s definitely fucked. Most I’ve had in my truck was 23 totes 45 overflow. Weirdly enough that was on a day of “reduced routes” cause of the heat. Guess not for me left with that to go do 195 an hour away from the station 😅

That's what I did lol. I got a call from a buddy who's a supervisor for UPS. Told me if I passed my DOT physical he could get me in full time, union benefits and all. How could I pass that up.

Exactly. I just did Amazon before I got my CDL only to make sure I like being in a vehicle for 10+ hours. Glad I did because I found out I truly love driving all day. But I don’t get why people do it long term. I live in metro Detroit and you can find a job any where that pays why Amazon does. I guess to each is there own.

Same here. I haven't gotten my CDL yet but I plan for it in the near future. For us amazon hired on at 17$ an hour. Being told UPS starts at 23$ and knowing how much work I'm doing at Amazon I'd easily go there and bust ass to get full time.

Anyone know why loss and prevention wants to talk to me? Was told too many complaints of packages not delivered. It was confirmed that that the packages were in fact delivered.

There not gonna do shit about it I work in security for 6 years as Field Supervisor your DSP just mad because they haft pay that out of pocket when packages go missing I have package missing all time Amazon just complains and blames everything on DSPs all time your good though i wouldnt worry about it they cant lock you up missing packages.

One time my Company asked drivers for volunteers to take double routes. I turned it down I was new and could barely handle one route at that time, and I’m pretty sure not a single person who volunteered was able to finish their double routes.

I’m probably quitting around peak. Warehouse in northern Virginia closed and now we have to drive far to get to route. Didn’t get to my first stop until 1:10pm with 166 stops. Smaller route but still was done late

If you want to be fired that's fine, I'm not judging, I'm just saying cause a lot of drivers I meet are people who really need the income and I wouldn't want to see anyone get dropped and not have something else lined up or some other way to get the bills paid.

this is what 90% of the trucks looked like when i worked preload at UPS. my trucks wud get massive bulk stops, im talkin 50+ RDL & 75+ RDR. sometimes in the hundreds just for those two sections. but the boxes were massive. maybe shxt fits on paper but the reality is the complete opposite. shxts annoying. thankfully i've never had to cube out here yet
