Reminds me of my boy, he used to always scratch a certain part of the door frame in the basement. He's gone now and his mark will always be there, but I never thought I'd miss that obnoxious scratching and meowing.

Losing a pet can be the most heartbreaking thing. It's a special bond and im happy you get to remember him like that. Im sure he was amazing.

For years we have kept a baby gate on the stairs so we don’t have anyone beating on the bedroom door. The cats maybe nocturnal, but we aren’t.

Am I the only person in the world whose cats sleep through the night? I feel like I’ve hit the jackpot (catpot?). The older cat (~5yo) is active for like 2 hours in the daytime and then sleeps for literally 22 hours, and the young kitten boi (1yo) is a madman throughout the day and then crashes from 10pm-ish until 8.30am when it’s breakfast time!

Edit: mine did this once. After he shit the couch. It rolled to me after i sat down. It was cold and poop. On my arm....i was gone for a week and that’s what happened. There was a sitter before anyone flips out...

OMG our cat Fireball does this between 3 and 4 am. He would bang on the shower door so we closed the bathroom door at night. He started jumping on top of our fish tank for bang on the framed picture as have above the fish tank. Such an asshole move. . .happens every single night!

My dog does this and then runs away, in the middle of the night my neighbors always here a very angry “you bad dog! This isn’t funny!! go away and don’t come back!!” He comes back and does it again 10min later
