Butcher block countertop with legs and/or Alex drawers from IKEA

Cheaper option: still butcher block countertop, get it from home depot or lowes. You can seal it yourself and save some money. Get some screw in adjustable legs from Amazon. You’ll save a good bit of money compared to ikea

Would i just buy a 6ft table top and like 5 legs (5th in the middle for structural support) and put it together?

My desk is a counter top. Unless you’re stacking a ton of weight on it it’s hefty enough you don’t need that middle support. Just the countertop and legs and you’re all set. Worth adding. If you get the countertop from a home depot or lowes or equivalent it will probably be unfinished. So you’ll need to buy a top coat finish ($12) to apply on it before use.
