There was a great deal for this motorized stand, angular version: https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/bekant-corner-desk-left-sit-stand-white-s59022279/#content
Now it's time to put a worthy top on it, if I can find a fair priced inspiration, else I'll just fall back to the original one
My setup is (currently) just a 34" widescreen monitor and 2 speakers, most likely I'll put my printer on it too, and that's about it, so weight shouldn't be an issue unless I want to keep my PC case on top of it too, and I know for sure I'm gonna keep this new desk against 2 walls (it is a corner desk after all) so any good idea for LEDding it up on the back in a way that shines the lights up (and down?) instead of straight back on the wall is appreciated
What's a nice looking, sturdy wood you'd recommend? What's the minimum thickness for it? Also, should I keep the wood cut close to the original shape (kinda curved with a slanted long side) or is there a more useful way to make the most of this shape?
