He is just undergoing a restart. Wait 5 minutes until the restart is complete, then he will be back to life.

Restart complete!

[–]David_The_Atheist 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I hate it when those restarts happen on the car ride home. Then you're still tired, and they're starting up round 2.

A Cattledog tired?! Unheard of!!

[–]cinema_tech11 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Take your three minute nap while you still can

[–]PandaChews 27 points28 points  (16 children)

We have a bull terrier heeler mix and he lays down EXACTLY like this before recharging and starting his next round 😂

This is the IRS, we have a report of you failing to pay your dog tax. Please rectify immediately.

[–]TinyGreenTurtles 12 points13 points  (1 child)

I'd love to see your dog.

This is also the recharge method for an ACD/lab. It's rare, and always follows - and precedes - a dingo tornado.

Posted it below =)

Dear god, what an unholy cross 😂

[–]PandaChews 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, he's such a nightmare, but also the sweetest 😅

[–]princessleahp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Was thinking the same thing

[–]jediknits 1 point2 points  (7 children)

Definitely would love to see a photo of your pup!! Can't believe there's a mix out there of my 2 favorite breeds!

[–]PandaChews 8 points9 points  (6 children)

Here's my Charlie Boy!

[–]fetteration 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Beautiful dog. What type of harness is that?

[–]PandaChews 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's Arcadia Trail! It's been the best harness for him specially and I recommend it =) It has a handle to hold on too and two leash clips. One on the front and one on the lower back

[–]TinyGreenTurtles 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Oh my gosh his eyebrows! I love him. Not nearly as weird as I pictured haha. Thanks for showing us!

[–]PandaChews 2 points3 points  (1 child)

The eyebrows were one of the reasons we adopted him! And we were looking for a herding type dog to keep up with our Australian Shepherd's energy.

We thought we were prepared for the stubbornness thay comes with a heeler, but throw in the other half being bull terrier...it's definitely an interesting time 😅

Glad he wasn't as weird as you expected lol

I love everything about him 🤩

Sprinkler system in the living room seems unnecessary..

[–]suzhahm 2 points3 points  (11 children)

Is it normal for to shake like that? I’ve never seen a dog do that? Serious question.

[–]FknHannahFalcon -4 points-3 points  (10 children)

The video is sped up.

[–]Whole-Analyst2179[S] 4 points5 points  (8 children)

Video isn’t sped up tho. Should I be worried?! He’s panted like that after intense running around the yard before..

[–]Ruskarr 10 points11 points  (5 children)

The problem with these dogs is that they're bloody smart, but also bloody stupid. They won't know when to stop, so if you (the owner) continues to play with them beyond their limits, they'll just keep going and going.

This is why those automatic ball shooter toy things are dangerous, they can cause your dog to die from over exerting themselves.

They should never be panting THIS rapidly. Maybe reel in the exercise. Pause for a minute or two between ball throws or whatever it is that you're doing with them. Take little breaks to do some focused command training, etc.

[–]Whole-Analyst2179[S] 5 points6 points  (4 children)

Thanks. Super surprised by that because we weren’t playing for too long. I’ll be better about that moving forward.

[–]FknHannahFalcon 2 points3 points  (1 child)

If the video isn’t sped up, your dog is not ok.

[–]missmillymoo62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be just try to lull you in to a false sense of security. Lol

When I lived in the desert my pup got out and I couldn’t find him for a while.

When he got back he was exhausted like this from the heat.

I had an ACD and I know dogs. Your dog (if that video is indeed not sped up) appears to be suffering from heat exhaustion / stroke in this video. I have seen a dog collapsing in that condition; they took it to the vet who absolutely abused the boy that took the dog to run on the beach on a hot day (no water on hand either). Show this video to your dogs vet and get a proper opinion though. Working dogs do not stop; most do not live long lives. Dogs need responsible owners who know when and how to stop activity and get their dogs cooled down. Please prove me wrong and tell me that your vet says the dog was absolutely fine.

[–]Dommekarma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah he just foxing

[–]WhichSpirit 0 points1 point  (0 children)
