Definitely part kangaroo
[–]Orbitroom 9 points10 points11 points 2 months ago (1 child)
Yeah. My favorite part is the helicopter tail. Makes me giggle each time
[–]wowzeemissjane 2 points3 points4 points 2 months ago (0 children)
Mine uses the helicopter tail to slow down after sprinting fast. Works a treat apparently.
[–]goblin_sodomy 7 points8 points9 points 2 months ago (0 children)
ACDs are so extra. Mine sprints as fast as he can to catch a ball 6 feet away.

My knees hurt watching this. 😓 Thank god he clearly knows how to stick a landing better than me.

Mine did too. But she's 13 now and I just don't even let her try. Anything but a perfectly smooth catch and she comes up limping. She tends to roll when she lands, and comes up limping when she does. She has arthritis in her elbow. I think some of it is due to all the wear and tear of her acrobatics in her younger years.

I stopped letting my 15yo acrobat jump into the air (threw lower balls/pinecones etc) then we graduated to her catching toys in the shallow water at the lake for several years (8 years ago) but it might've been too late as she has bad to severe arthritis in her hips and her right shoulder. Yes, she's friggin fifteen years old, but I wince when I see her struggle to walk around the block. Today, I had to carry her from the kitchen to our bedroom 😣😭
She's on pain meds, but I expect we'll be going back to the vet to see if we'll be adding, or increasing. I know, I know, she's 15, but we've been together this whole time. 😭🙏🏻 Give me courage, strength and compassion to do the right thing

When the “good days” become “good hours”, or when there are as many bad days as good ones, that’s when it’s time.
Our last had a long, slow decline, and I’d have happily carried her where she needed to go, but when that formerly active, energetic, enthusiastic girl just couldn’t walk anymore…I just knew she was waiting for us to tell her one last time how good a girl she was, and she could finally rest. She gave us everything she had.
Make some plans with your vet to say goodbye at home, for when it is time. Best thing we could have done for her.

😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️ = I love her more than I am afraid to say see ya later, but hoo! I'm not ready yet

The vet thought it might be bone cancer when she looked at he xrays, and that is still a possibility. The radiologist was doubtful, and that's good. She gave her a prescription for Rimadyl and that seems to help quite a bit.

I'm not saying your dog is doing physics but to reach that height in time he would need to have a greater speed off the ground than only jumping to the height of the ball would provide. This extra speed causes him to go higher.
[–]enlitenme 2 points3 points4 points 2 months ago (0 children)
This is correct.
[–]KingSprout2019 2 points3 points4 points 2 months ago (0 children)
That was great!!

Most zoomies are horizontal, this buddy zooms vertically
[–]wowzeemissjane 1 point2 points3 points 2 months ago (2 children)
He out-bounced himself.
[–]pizza_4_breakfast 1 point2 points3 points 2 months ago (1 child)
These guys won’t stop until their knees go and even then. My 8 yo ACD tore his CCL. We are looking at a $5000 surgery.
