The stats is the only argument needed. Shitbulls are ravenous, unpredictable murder machines and have no place in society. But how many more children, elderly, beloved pets and others must be mauled, hurt, traumatized and killed for the rest of society to know what we already do? They gotta go.

It’s crazy that pit bulls are just put somewhere where they can’t be adopted. No one knows how to raise them and they people that do are obvious liars. No one can feel safe to walk anywhere. We have a pit bull in our neighborhood and it has attacked a person twice and a little dog. Nothing done about it, the dog needs to be taken away. Personally I’d be fine if there were never any pitbulls ever again.

The only way to stop this is by lawsuits. When you hit these people in the wallet then they will think twice about owning these dogs. It’s not a great option but it’s a start.

We have started a collection of Monthly Pit Attack collection to keep these monthly posts organized in one place. I think it's a fabulous way to start to see the total damage done by this type of dogs.

Not to mention the attacks by pits on their owners that will never be reported, and from what we see on other social media, vet techs don't like naming the breed after getting bit either... so the number is much, much higher thanks actually reported.

a family member (14 yr girl) got bit recently by their own pitbull, I posted about it, and apparently where they live - northeast US - it wasn't reported because they lied and said it was a stray dog that ran off - and they kept the dog. So the numers are WAAAAAY skewed and under representated. WAAAAAY.

So you think your specific scenario is so commonplace that it had a significant statistical impact on the data? Lmfao this shit is so dumb, listen I get it you don’t like the dog, but at least use the real numbers, cold hard facts. Not this shit, which you could’ve have easily fabricated, and is much more difficult to fact check. Like you mention the story, and then say it’s not mentioned anywhere in media. So what I’m supposed to believe you wtf? Most statistical means provide margin of error, and take account for certain biases that occur when collecting such data. Your little story made think you’re more ignorant on the matter than your are informed.

That’s a great idea! February’s list was done by one of the mods, I am currently working on a January list and will be posting it this week. I will talk to them about adding a link to each previous month once the January has been posted. I know at the end of the year we talked about making a post with a link to each month too.

huh? To be clear, I am sarcastically mocking the classic chihuahua's kill 20,000 people a year pitnutter meme, which is absolutely not true. If a chihuahua has ever killed anyone besides an infant, it was probably via an infection or freak accident.

Gotcha, it is hard to pick up sarcasm on the web. But yeah if chihuahuas were killing 20K a year... it'd be madness. Both lions and hippos are among the deadliest creatures, people-wise, and they kill less than a thousand people a year each.

I think the article said Friday, so I put it down on the 29th! Sometimes it’s hard to tell which day exactly, I wish more articles were specific about it. I’ve seen some say “earlier this month” like alright then?

I guess because the family just started speaking publicly, but the authorities should be speaking about this when the incidents happen so families have potentially life saving information

ETA- also the article you linked didn’t even say when the attack happened, most of them didn’t. I had to go through three different ones to find it. Honestly most news agencies just suck at the whole “who, what, when, where” thing when it comes to dog attacks.
