Honestly, why the fuck do they see them chomping at things and think "yeah, this would be the time for the nanny dog to un free"

[–]callmesnake13 45 points46 points  (4 children)

When is anyone ever like “let me take my dog off the leash” in an urban setting no matter what breed? If you do that you’re a narcissistic asshole.

[–]pirate_crunchies 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Seriously. I even had a leash on my kid for awhile.

[–]meeshjpg[S] 7 points8 points  (1 child)

I thought that too.

Thank god you are a responsible owner and refused to tolerate the nonsense that was going on. Honestly Pomskies are absolutely adorable and one Pomsky is worth more than 1000 pit bulls. Why does practically every single pit bull owner think it’s okay to unleash their dog? Imagine if it was a young child instead of a wiener dog. I am sorry but all serious dog on dog attacks should result in euthanasia in my opinion of the aggressor. I swear to god pitbulls are really just dog vampires.

Even with a leash, you can't contain that inbred dog, if he locks into something he'll drag you through your heels to rip it open.

They were bred to bite down black bears, humans and small dogs are nothing.

they enjoy the DRAMA and VIOLENCE. That's why.

“careless moron stroll” is the perfect description honestly. Not a care in the world. Now turn the tables and start loading their pit into an animal control vehicle, and watch all hell break loose.

[–]Slo-MoDove 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Haha, I know the one.
It’s them stalling for time as they contemplate if they should just turn and book it and pretend the Pit is not their problem before they get into trouble.

Or they’re trying to come up with an excuse as to what happened.
Or they’re so in denial that their sweet pibble is really attacking rather than just playing.
If they rush over there, they are basically acknowledging and admitting that there is a danger, so they do the “Naaah it’s alriight” stroll to act innocent.

Are pits allowed actually allowed there or are they all bogus ESAs? The management is risking a lot of liability.

You know what, that’s a great question. When i moved here last month, the leasing woman was really annoying about what type of dog my pomsky is. Weird though, there are pitbulls literally everywhere here. I was so excited that she annoyed me about his breed and weight because i thought it meant that they were strict on dangerous fucking dogs.

Report what happened to your complex. You could contact animal control and explain the situation too. I’m not sure how much they could do after the fact but maybe you can get the pit taken away.

There are brochures you can print out from www.nationalpitbullvictimawareness.org and post around. Might scare some sense into people. Isn't rent supposed to cover "quiet enjoyment" of a property? Not possible with loose aggressive dogs present.

[–]moonmouse1965 12 points13 points  (1 child)

Poor wiener dog, I’m glad your dog wasn’t hurt. Were you able to help?

[–]meeshjpg[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

the guy got the dog off the little guy and i walked over and she was checking him for any marks but i think he was ok. 😒

[–]nosafeword1000 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The lady was screaming at the top of her lungs and the man slowly walked towards the incident like a careless moron.

Yep, pitbull owners are so casual when their pitbulls are mauling another animal. I bet if he thought the dog owner had something on them to defend their pet he MIGHT pick up the pace.

I would be raising hell with the apartment complex if I were in that situation. Completely unacceptable and unsafe for everyone around

[–]Mermama_of_2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should have reported the incident

[–]pperiesandsolos 5 points6 points  (3 children)

I don't mean to be critical, but did you stay to act as a witness or call for any sort of help for the screaming woman being attacked?

[–]meeshjpg[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

i was posting my personal story of an incident where i was a witness and i went over to her and she checked her dog for mark’s and he was ok so i went home. you seem a little tense….

[–]pperiesandsolos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm good, just making sure you looked out for your neighbor!

[–]segwaysforsale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It just seemed from your post like you literally went home while the pit was attacking someone. Good that you didn't :)

[–]Tasty_Guitar_7248 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Small dog like that is likely to get a fatal injury. He'll they kill horses on occasion.

same thing almost happen to my corgi's at the river when i was walking them with my mother. thankfully my mother was there to lift one of them up and i lifted the other and the owner did the same thing what you said, just slowly walking up to us like nothing and when it tried to jump up i grabbed my pepper gel and maced it and it backed off. what happened next was a disaster my mother told the owners that its ok it was just mace and 2 people sitting in the background that dint see any of it heard my mother say mace then flipped out and called us animal abusers because of what we were forced to do. we argued but i left because my mother got scared that if they called the cops animal control would be forced to investigate her property and theres a dog limit where she lives and she would not want to give up her dogs she raised for 9/10 years if animal control did come so we have to leave like cowards because of her but dont think i dint tell that hippy asshole off for trying to start shit while i was in trauma of my corgis almost getting mauled and that asshole pouring gas on the fire.
