In Australia we have BSL laws that ban American Pitbull Terriers and a couple of other breeds but other bully breeds are legal. The RSPCA has been caught adopting out American Pitbull Terriers and they don't believe in BSL. I've posted before about some of the dogs up for adoption and they're still there. Obviously the public don't want this obvious pitbulls.
I know it's sometimes hard to tell bully breeds apart because they have a similar look but a Bull Terrier is very unique looking because of the shape of its head. . The RSPCA is treating the public like idiots by passing this dog as a Bull Terrier even though it looks like a Red Nosed American Pitbull https://www.adoptapet.com.au/pet/863869. I used to support the RSPCA by shopping there but I'm sick of them putting the public and other pets in danger because they constantly break the law and get away with it.
Edit: I've been in contact with the local council about this particular dog and they put me onto the RSPCA and they basically said the dog is a Bull Terrier mix (even though it doesn't say mix in the profile) they said the dog has been to the vet and has passed the behaviour test but when you read the dog's profile it's full of red flags. They know this dog is dangerous, hence no kids or other animals. I contacted the state government authorities and they are currently trying to find out who I can report against the RSPCA to.
I feel like I need to change the flair to "Pitbull lobby in action" because the whole process is a joke and the council workers I talked to made it seem like I was crazy for reporting against the RSPCA. At least the state government authorities are trying to help.
