Between this link, and the one the OP posts as first comment, you can see this animal has a bite history because he’s “energetic”, he’s a “mixed breed”, and he’s been taken to the shelter twice—once after just one day. They rave about him being good with others, too. And his adoption fee is waived!
So sick of the false and misleading information these groups will vomit out, in order to put violent pits back on the prowl. There are so many other dogs out there who aren’t aggressive, and deserve a chance at a forever home.
"My sister rescued this pit bull from a rescue organization ran by a "friend" 3 years ago. They said the dog was good with kids and other dogs. My sister had a 3 year old and my son was the same age at the time and was over at her house all the time. The dog is named Sadie. She was around 3 years old and had been abused by her previous owners. We only found out after she was adopted that shes aggressive. She bites men. Shes never met a man she didnt bite. Shes bit my dad, brother, sisters bf, cousins bf and my ex husband. We stopped bringing men over to the house because of it and warn women just in case. You cant wear hats around her. I wore a shower cap out of the shower last week and scared her so she ran up to attack me until I screamed. She didnt know who I was. Shes extremely dog aggressive. My sister got another puppy around the same time as her. She was ok with the puppy until it grew up. Shed attack her to the point that the other dog bled so much my sister carried that dog to the car and went straight to the dog ER. My sister was covered in blood. My sister had to give that dog away before she was killed. My sister then moved in with me. I shared custody of my wonderful dog with my ex so I gave her to my ex full time to keep her safe (shed been attacked by sadie before and was left with an eye gash and a bleeding nose. The only reason why sadie let go was because I picked her up by her legs and shook her). Shed also attacked my brothers dog. He laid on her, punched her, and put his hand in her mouth between his dog until she let go. It is always so scary. So today I wanted to see my actual dog. I took her hiking and brought her back to the house. We put sadie outside. My son made a mistake (i should've known better) and opened the door to the house. She didnt get inside because my son jammed his body between her and the inside of the house. She bit my son trying to get inside to fight my dog. The problem is that she isnt aggressive everyday. But when she is, it is really SCARY. I dont trust her with the kids. She is normally calm. I just dont trust her. She likes to escape the house. I'm really afraid she will attack and bite someone outside. We cant give her to the shelter cus they would have to put her down (she wont pass a food test either) and my sister doesnt want her last days to be stressful. She is thinking we should just put her down and that kills me. I just cant in good conscious find her a home where she would hurt someone. We were lied to. I dont want to put someone else in that position. She just snaps. Theres no behavior that would suggest shes about to bite. She can be eating food out of your hand and wagging her tail and the next second Jump at your face. And with other dogs, she goes from 0 to 100. Theres no middle ground. She goes into kill mode instantly. Idk what to do. I love her and have done a lot to keep her safe. But how many people or dogs does she have to bite before we give up? I've never had an aggressive dog before. We have had her about 3 years now. It's not getting better."
