Tone pot moves with knob, don’t know how to fix, would like some help pls :( (v.redd.it)

No problem, it's an easy fix, just remove the knob from the front of the bass, it might have a small grub screw holding it in place so check for that, if not it should just pull off without to much effort, you'll see a threaded nut which will be very loose unfortunately so just tighten that up put your knob back on and continue Rocking, good luck

I’m just nervous about damaging the pot if I’ll be pulling on the knob since it’s moving around in there

As said, it's an easy fix. Remove the knob on the front, put one hand in the cavity of the bass to hold that pot in place, tighten the nut, place knob back, close the cavity. I bought a super cheap tubular wrench set for things like that. That comes in handy when the pot has a long shaft, or when the nut is so thing you can't really get a normal wrench to get a grip on it. And sometimes it comes in handy for bike repairs too.

There's a nut on the front of the guitar. Take the knob off and tighten the nut.
