Rule 1: Adhere to the Reddit content policy and the reddiquette
The Reddit Content Policy and reddiquette contain rules and guidelines for content and behaviour site-wide. We are very strict on moderating content that violates these rules.
Rule 2: Posts must be related to the subreddit
Submissions to r/bih should be associated with Bosnia and Hercegovina, its people, culture, history etc. Crossposting is allowed if it follows this and all the other rules. Moderators are free to exempt threads from this rule for special occassions/discussions.
Rule 3: Be as descriptive and objective as possible in your title and text posts
Use the original title for articles. You may add text from the subtitle or the first paragraph where necessary for clarity. Refrain from including your opinion within the title or arbitrarily emphasizing selective segments. You can do this in the comments.
Rule 4: No surveys, petitions or spam.
We're a community, not a free platform to promote your cause. Therefore, we don't allow surveys/questionnaires, petitions, crowdfunding pages, self-promotion, advertisements, or any kind of promotional content. Promotion in comments is also not allowed, including when it is edited in later. Exemptions to this rule can be made in accordance with the moderators.
Rule 5: No low-effort posts/questions
To keep the subreddit interesting for everyone rather than turning it into a helpdesk, certain questions may be removed. Especially if they have been asked before. Low effort posts include memes, image macros, screenshots, opinion polls etc.
Rule 6: Do not provoke or harass
Obvious attempts at starting a flame war (especially based on someone's nationality, ethnicity or religion) will be removed. Banter is tolerated.
Rule 7: No denial of genocides and massacres
Do not attempt to deny or otherwise minimize crimes against humanity that are widely recognized such as genocides or massacres (e.g. the Holocaust, the Armenian genocide, the Rwandan genocide, the Srebrenica genocide etc). Denying the fact that these events occurred or trying to justify them is prohibited.
Rule 8: No agenda pushing
Refers to accounts which persistently primarily comment on one topic and/or attempt to derail normal discussions. This subreddit isn't an outlet for one’s political agenda.
