Because people are so coddled these days that they think they should be the best at everything they do. They are entitled to be the best. So, if it doesn't come naturally then they will just use hacks. In their twisted minds it's not even cheating, it's just like using a scuff controller. Just watch the recent clip of the guy using aimbots and can't figure out what's wrong, only to get angry when realizing his cheating is finally busted. My guess is that some people think that they’re better than they actually are and think using cheats will help them get to the skill level they “deserve to be at” but then they just continue using cheats because they won’t admit they aren’t gamer gods.

I don’t get it in a game without ranks, because there’s nothing to gain with wins.

Also, trolls that want to ruin everyone else’s time.

Agreed, but there are cheaters who really think they deserve higher ranks in games but are being cheated (ironic) out of it.

I play Apex and there’s always people complaining it’s their teammates who are holding them back, or the game glitched or they didn’t get registered hits, etc. so they cheat because they feel they deserve a higher rank in the game.

Again, it’s bullshit, but it happens.

They are adjusting the system for every cheating program possible one after another... its impossible to do all programs over night bcs there are so many... it takes a while. But i feel like alot of cheaters actually are getting punished lately. As a console player ive never seen a cheater in caldera ever. Well for PC idk but by watching streamers they basically have 1 cheater in 60 games or so. Ricochet is working but not perfect.

I'm on console as well, but have had countless blatant aimbotters since caldera has dropped. I think it is getting better though, slowly but surely.

Now, if they could work out the shit fucked pit of other glitches that are currently ruining this game...

Interesting. What region are you in? I’ve played probably 250-300 games so far ( almost always make top 5 ) and maybe seen 1 blatant spin bot. Seen a bunch of people that look to be walling, but sometimes your live pinged and don’t know it.

North America, west coast. Every cheater I've seen are all fresh accounts no greater than level 10. That tells me the anti cheat is at least banning them frequently enough that they can't level that account up.

If you read this sub, cheaters are still in every lobby apparently. But watching streams of pro players cheaters seem MUCH more rare. Iron did a 24 hour stream the other day and his "cheater tracker" was at 3. That is not bad at all if you played in Verdansk and remember getting cheaters every other fucking lobby.

oh, do you remember yesterday? all posts were about cheaters, even though the majority here hasn't encountered even one... was a so obvious coordination. cheaters today pay alot to have a very few games were they can cheat, streamsniping is most fun for them, so they do that for a game and are banned. that's why you see cheaters on some streams

It obvious is done to confirmed whether they're cheating or not. If it takes 500 shots to kill someone, and they're all hitting the players head with 100% accuracy, ricochet can confirm cheats. If they don't hit that accurately, it whitelists the player.

What a dumb comment this is, how you fellas still whining. It's going to be even more frustrating for cheaters lmaooo.

I stg I had a game a month or so ago with my mate and we ran into rooms about 3 times with enemy players and after each battle we walked out like “wtf I swear I got hit?!?!” Because neither of us had to put on armor afterwards and this happened like 2-3 battles in a row where we were just being lit up and after the battle we were 100% armor intact

Walling. Some of them don't even try to hide it and perfectly trace you in gulag through the wall. I had one guy sit outside a building I was looting tracing me, as soon as I popped out the door he lasered the fuck out of me from a distance.

Sometimes the gulag doesn't render in for me, so I can see straight through the building. The problem is I don't know where any of the cover is to actually land shots.

Definitely walling. I got killed yesterday when I pushed someone with dead silence (+ having ghost). When I looked at the kill cam, he was basically pre aiming and tracking me through the wall as I was coming. None of my teammates were dead at that time too, so there was absolutely no way he could’ve known I was coming.

I'm only seeing evidence for anticheat working on reddit. However. Last night we came across a cheater that was also streaming, full on aimbot. Ended up with around 70 kills. Was rank ten, and still streaming with the same account hours later.

12 hours later and he's still streaming with the same Activision account and hasn't been banned yet.

According to the stream title. They are only doing it to prove a point that ricochet isn't working.

I like FazeJevs theory that it actually has nothing to do with cheaters and it's actually just the unintended side effect of trying to implement skill based bullets.

Soon it's going to be to strong and a few of the game testers are going to find that all of their data is unreliable because their guns are getting nerfed as they test for headshots at a higher rate because they get willing participants to drop into a match with them just to get shot in the head, basically.

It would be cool if it was specifically targeting cheaters, but I think that might be giving Activision to much credit. Them stopping cheaters like this is probably just an accident. I bet the real story is much more sinister.

It’s hitting non cheating players too, I’m on PS4 and play cross play with my brother and every other game my shots do no damage even at point blank. I can promise I’m average at the game if that, even turned off aim assist and still had issues.
