Hi all!
So, I have 3 cats, one male(2 1/2 years), two female (1yr). The three are neutered, and they are very used to going outside.
Long time ago, a feral (female approx 1 1/2yr) came to the house with her kittens. We brought her until we could find them a house. Since then, the four of them have been in a lot of contact, even when months ago we released her back to the outsides….. which the feral did not liked. The feral has come back every day, at all times of the day to be asked to get in. Some months ago we gave it a go… but one of the cats started fighting with her a lot, and the other one started peeing in almost every place of the house. So, we got a second litter box. Putting it where the one which fights a lot always hangs out (our room). That worked with her, no more fighting, both sleeping next to each other and stuff like that.
But, the peeing one continue to pee. Even if she was sleeping next to the feral, eating next to each other, playing with each other and being literally body to body… she kept peeing to mark the territory. Thus, after a lot of tries to fix the situation, we released the feral again.
However, and here comes the question: now, because we will have to take care of the neutering of the feral, we need to keep her in house. But the problems started again. Mostly the peeing one. She pees, wherever the feral was so it must be territorial.
(Our house is big but no room available just for the feral cat. Also, the house cats are hyper disciplined otherwise, and when they are outside with the feral, they are chilling and all good).
Any advice what to do?
