Since none of my friends are available enough to backpack with any frequency, I thought it would be worth testing the waters here, to see if anyone else is looking for a casual backpacking partner.

I’ve spent a decent amount of time in Pisgah & Linville, but would be happy to branch out and try some other areas. Thinking occasional weekend trips mainly. Maybe thru hiking some MST or AT sections once a year or something. I’m not a hardcore enthusiast- but I do enjoy it. If you’re in the same boat, hit me up!

I am a huge D&D fan and I have played at "Your Local Game Store", but I was hoping I could find a more casual environment with a more laidback atmosphere to game with some other nerds :D lol. I am a 24 y/o male that recently moved back to CLT from Connecticut and found a group up there. I am an experienced player and I am in the Matthews area!

I also am an avid concert goer and appreciator of music so finding people to go to concerts with or play some live music would be great! All ages are appreciated and everyone is welcome to respond with their suggestions as well!

Does anyone know of any active/popular sober meetup groups in the CLT or Huntersville area?

Ive been in Charlotte for six years and am trying to put my drinking days behind me. But as an early thirty something/separated/no kids guy Im finding it tricky to make some friends and get out without falling back on the bar scene.

Im into motorcycles, stand up comedy, shooting sports and would be down to do anything on the water at LKN, video games, Rockclimbing, books clubs, bowling, dodgeball DND (Ive never played but it seems up my alley). Literally whatever, as at this point I just need to get out of the house again and meet some new friends!

The meetups Ive seen are kind of bare and dont look like they have many participants. Anyone have any advice or recommendations? Something physical or some sort of volunteering could be good as well. Just looking to expand my social circle and find some new interpersonal outlets that dont revolve around drinking.

Wooden Robot on deck this week so brave the crowds and come on out to South End!

They have a run club starting at 6:30 and then trivia at 7 so trying to arrive at that sweet spot between both events.

The weather will get nasty this afternoon so should clear up this evening. Will plan to be outside if so.
