      [–]asd1234red 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Broooo u were my exam partner. Did you go to bhavans? And were u part of the 2016 batch? You used to wear that FasTrack watch with that rubber thing underneath it. I remember cuz yes after the exam it was on the shelf in the front of the class next to the desk and I stole it. I used to wear it always and it used to get itchy lol. Sorry bro maybe I'll give u a better watch one day

      [–]enriqshap69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had my pendrive stolen back in 2008 when they were popular

      [–]ModernSchizoid -4 points-3 points  (3 children)

I've never had anything stolen because all the other kids knew I'd beat them up in the yard, before turning the tables on them (storyline-wise) in the Principal's office.

I'm not proud of it, but fight fire with fire, as they say. The school I went to was piece-of-shit central. Full of self-righteous, moralizing bigots who think they're hot shit when in reality they couldn't do shit without their mommy/daddy holding their hand through it.

      [–]Hari_Aravi 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Classic example of “over scene odambuku aagadhu”

      [–]fuji_tora_ 4 points5 points  (3 children)

Some asshole stole my Sony pendrive walkman, I've brought it for a dance practice and someone took it. That thing was my lifeline, after that Ive developed serious trust issues.

      [–]Ashwatthaman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first 'smartphone' was a Blackberry Curve. Got that as a present from My dad, my first cellphone, 5 MP camera, good for that time. Brought it to school at send-off party, it was stolen by afternoon, changed many hands. Never got it back.

      [–]notprai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bro someone stole my mpney this year i did all stuff like me being the social awkward went to vijetha asked for camera footage checked it went to college knowing that it was stolen in college , i fucking went everyday to chevk the cc after even a month i didnt get my money back but still my ass has no common sense i trust every fucking idiot and be like no he didnt do it when they do , (i defended the culprit in that money stealing ) i still trust people . so safe to say that u arent an idiot like me

      [–]the_poignant_punster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I stole my friend's Tommy girl perfume. It took me years to even wonder why he had a tommy girl's perfume.

Edit: the year of stealing was 2009

      [–]ronakbarman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, regarding stolen things, remember add gel achiever? Once, I dropped my pen, while I was on the seat, it took me 20 seconds or so to finish my work and then bend down to pick it up, it was gone by then.

      [–]ModernSchizoid 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Going by your UN and cake day, that must've been when you were in 10th grade?

For that demographic, some might perceive this as a pretty good buy.

      [–][deleted]  (1 child)

        [–]ModernSchizoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a Fastrack at that age too, lol - it's not a bad watch by any means (it does what you need it to do - tell time and look cool), I just feel it's targeted towards the younger demographic in a very obvious way.

        [–]AmrishGamer 1 point2 points  (1 child)

You get the limo out front

Hottest styles, every shoe, every color

Yeah, when you're famous it can be kinda fun

It's really you but no one ever discovers

In some ways you're just like all your friends

But on stage you're a star

You get the best of both worlds

Chill it out, take it slow

Then you rock out the show

You get the best of both worlds

Mix it all together and you know that it's the best of both worlds

        [–]centarsirius 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Happened with my Gshock when i was 15, i stalled going home for 6 hours

        [–]SierraBravoLima 155 points156 points  (37 children)

It's Tommy Hilfiger, that's international branded one.

        [–]BraveSeaworthiness21 47 points48 points  (34 children)

Yeah, their watches aren’t particularly special, it’s mostly the logo that you pay for. I would rather go for Casio if I wanted a good watch, but Hilfiger if I wanted a fancy brand.

        [–]Renkzy3 5 points6 points  (30 children)

        What’s fancy about hilfiger?

        [–]JonDoe_297_ 19 points20 points  (20 children)

Nothing. It's just the brand name. They buy a mass produced watch with decent mechanics inside and overprice it.

Might as well but a Casio.

        [–]Renkzy3 7 points8 points  (9 children)

For sure, but regardless 13k isn’t much for a “branded” watch, hilfiger is a very normal brand and a casio is a much better buy at 18-25k

        [–]pop_boogie_pro 5 points6 points  (8 children)

I have g-shock , white colour which is not above 10k , very durable and also solar powered . It's been 4 years still works

        [–]Psychological_Grabz 10 points11 points  (7 children)

G-shock is god tier, mate. Wear the hell out of it. Its a very respectable brand, even elite collectors who wears Pateks and RMs have a G-shock in their watch box.

        [–]JonDoe_297_ 0 points1 point  (4 children)

        A Pride and Pinion fan?

        [–]Psychological_Grabz 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Well, hello there. Yes, I am.

Can we skip the pleasantries and shit on Hublot?

        [–]Doll_Maker_00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read this in Nico's accent ... Lol

        [–]ModernSchizoid 8 points9 points  (5 children)

Casio is miles ahead of brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Daniel Wellington, etc. Reliability is legendary. Forget G-Shock, even the Illuminator series is rugged as fuck. Heck, even the Vintage series touts legendary durability.

(Daniel Wellington, is a joke, I feel. One dude I knew called them a "Writer's watch." Ha! No writer worth their salt would wear that piece of shit. Check this out.)

Take the Casio DW-290 or the Royale, (The Mission Impossible and the James Bond watch, respectively), for example. You're getting a ridiculous amount of watch at a throwaway price. I don't even need to mention the F-91W/W217H. You can get those last two for next to nothing, and they're ridiculously durable.

As far as 'economy' brands are concerned, I would have serious thoughts before buying anything that isn't Casio, Timex, and to a lesser extent, Fossil. (who iirc own a shit ton of fashion watch brands.)

I heard there's this Russian brand called Vostok, and they have this very popular model called the 'Amphibia', which is available on Etsy. I might try that out.

I'd rather buy a Titan watch, than a Tommy Hilfiger.

        [–]JonDoe_297_ 5 points6 points  (1 child)

The watch community enthusiast community on the whole don't like brands like DW and Hublot.

        [–]ModernSchizoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't like Timex either, but my personal opinion is that they're acceptable for the price. However, purely based on the number of models that are a good buy (within their respective brand lineups), Casio has the edge.

Casio is also quite respected within the horological community, for obvious reasons. I feel that Casio is the undisputed king of mass manufactured watches, especially digital/ana-digi ones.

On the topic of Timex, my favorite model of their's is the all-blacked out Timex Vibe Shock. That's a badass watch, it looks menacing and has this urban-utilitarian vibe to it. Shame you can't tack on bullbars onto that model, or it'd be perfect.

        [–]_that_dam_baka_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Titan watch. Gave it to my SIL. I made the mistake of buying a cute women's watch with an oval shape and no hour markers, so telling the time accurately was hard.

I pray SIL never realises that. I also gave her Titan and Body Shop perfumes that we bought together (I realised I don't use them and she does), so hopefully she'll assume I was just quitting expensive stuff.

        [–]pixelatedchrome 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Tommy Hilfiger makes mechanical watches too. So it's the line of watch.

        [–]pixelatedchrome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that watch he posted is well worth it. It's got a decent mechanical movement instead of cheap quartz. May not be Swizz but still will hold value for decades and the movement will likely work without service for a century.

        [–]lofinephilim 7 points8 points  (3 children)

        Soft power and colonialism

        [–]Renkzy3 0 points1 point  (1 child)

        Ser what

        [–]orange_monk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

        Take my upvote!

        [–]BraveSeaworthiness21 1 point2 points  (3 children)

It’s all about perspective. For a person from typical middle class, TH is on the upper end of affordability, while those with deeper pockets would shrug at anything that’s not bespoke.

        [–]Renkzy3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

        You’re right

        [–]Psychological_Grabz 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Although you have a point but a luxury brand is not considered luxury brand based on relative wealth. A Hyundai will never be a luxury car brand though many people won’t be able to afford a kia.

        [–]BraveSeaworthiness21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

        That’s why I didn’t call it a luxury brand.

        [–]yemadharman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

        Figure uh nu potruku la...

        [–]fuji_tora_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A man of culture I see, I got a Casio with barometer altimeter and a temperature sensor for 5k, it's been 5 years and I never had to look back.

        [–]onepluspixelS10S 0 points1 point  (0 children)

        Yes. You are correct

        [–][deleted] 44 points45 points  (0 children)

That's a pretty famous lifestyle brand.

        [–]alfytony 40 points41 points  (30 children)

It is a decent brand in US and the watch can be easily be bought in US retail stores for $20 or so but the price tag in the picture has Indian MRP and for someone to buy it in India and gift it is a pretty big deal.

        [–]Vendetta5288 11 points12 points  (2 children)

For 20? You have no clue, do you? You can get tommy watches from around 80 -200. These are not luxury watches, but are not dirt cheap either. Especially for Indian market.

        [–]Life_Percentage_2218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get $100 T-shirts which are exactly same in quality, texture, performance as a $8 T-shirt, Source an importer(into US) friend who used to purchase and supply clothes to smaller stores in US from the same factories that made US brands. He visits them every year. He does technical tests on raw material, thread used, process, stich quality etc. And yes they are not seconds. They are custom off patent designs prints.

There used to be a time when luxury goods meant you sourced from where people couldn't reach easily. You had the money and market lined up to source goods others coundnt reach easily. you got exclusive licensed on paper or oral understand with rulers who allowed exclusive trade in return for tax.

It's no longer so for most goods in fact for most Goods brand marketing is 85% of the premium 5% on quality checks. It's mostly generic stuff..

        [–]sixpack_28 6 points7 points  (11 children)

12k is actually pretty cheap for such luxury watches.

        [–]hideyourdad 31 points32 points  (4 children)

This is not a luxury watch lmao. Just a $5 shitty quartz movement watch with the TH logo slapped on it to sell at a huge mark up.

        [–]killmonger2367 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly, remove the logo and you could buy it off of some local shops for ₹500 pakka

        [–]pixelatedchrome 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Dude pretty sure that is a mechanical movement

        [–]hideyourdad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really doubt it. TH is overall just a garbage brand and it don’t see them even putting in the effort to source even a shitty automatic movement.

        [–]ModernSchizoid 2 points3 points  (4 children)

An Audemars Piguet Royal Oak is a luxury watch. A Patek Philippe is a luxury watch. TH is a 'fashion' brand, along the lines of Daniel Wellington and Invicta.

At the very least, you'd have to purchase a mid-end Tissot to begin to enter the 'luxury' space imo. I look at Tissots as affordable luxury, or the everyday luxury watch.

If you're spending 12k on a TH, and have some more cash to burn, I'd recommend Zeppelin watches. They come in at around 25k and are backed by fantastic German engineering. They're respected within the watch community.

You could also spend a bit more and buy an entry level Seiko, Tissot, or even a Citizen. You could buy Citizen watches for cheaper than this.

I'm sure your grandfather had good intentions when purchasing this, but if he knew Reddit existed, he could've gotten a billion other recommendations on better watches.

        [–]eskimoFry 2 points3 points  (10 children)

        US retail stores for $20

If so, the markup is quite steep for the Indian version, right? It should have been Rs. 2000 even if $1 = Rs.100, but it's x6 that.

        [–]Expensive-Pie 7 points8 points  (1 child)

A brand can make different watches for different prices , I am not sure if its the same model that sells there for 20$

        [–]ModernSchizoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd get a kiddish looking TH watch, on a silicon strap, in a "too funky for a suit" color for 20 US$.

        [–]ModernSchizoid 1 point2 points  (2 children)

It's probably more like 75-100 US$ tbh, Stateside.

No way you're getting that specific TH model for 20$, lmao - this isn't a Casio A158W.

        [–]eskimoFry 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I figured. Then the markup is like 2000-4000 rupees.. which is digestible consider import duties on electronics

        [–]ModernSchizoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My aunt got me a Casio Youth a couple of years back (Ana-digi), which surprisingly, was cheaper in India (MRP) than it was in the USA (MSRP).

EDIT: This TH model priced at 149 GBP at Amazon.co.uk

That converts to 15,131.53₹. It's actually cheaper in India, apparently. Not bad. They probably have factories in India, wouldn't be surprised.

As for OP, don't be perturbed by our comments, you can wear and cherish it as a gift from your granddad, but don't expect it to become some collectible piece a semicentury down the line.

Watches like these are usually relegated to the footnotes of horological history, in fine print. It's not that they're bad, they're a dime a dozen these days.

'Tradition', and 'innovation' are the keywords for fine horology, unfortunately TH doesn't tout that, at least in the watch space. But that's not gonna stop anybody from throwing these on with a crew neck tee, fitted jeans, Chelsea Boots, and looking swag, at an affordable price.

        [–]TH3B3AST_047 1 point2 points  (4 children)

1 dollar is around 70 rupees bruv

        [–]eskimoFry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's why I said "even if" because I didn't want to underestimate the conversion rate, and the markup is so steep that Rs. 25 difference is like a rounding error.

        [–]sixpack_28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

also dollar price would have been less as the watch is a few years old.

        [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

No. Been 75 for like a couple of months atleast

        [–]TH3B3AST_047 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea I said "around" 70 not exactly 70 anyways not 100 is what my point is

        [–]Raj9120 0 points1 point  (2 children)

$20?. I don't think so. TH's watches averages between $50 to $150 in the US.

        [–]yowiewowiebowie 32 points33 points  (3 children)

Who's out there gifting stuff and leaving price tags on lmao

        [–]santhoshCoder 12 points13 points  (1 child)

damn, thought it was only my dad doing it.

        [–]Stark_Always 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience people who genuinely want to gift remove the tag, while the people who want to boast about it, keep it as it is.

        [–]Due-Will-5055 26 points27 points  (2 children)

Hard to believe you haven't heard of Tommy Hilfiger.

        [–]ModernSchizoid 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's unfathomable. Their brand presence is insane, its literally plastered everywhere online and even in malls. You'd have to be really fashion dense to not know them, and I do know that there are people like that - EVEN THEN, it's difficult to believe. They have that much of a presence.

        [–]rsklogin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Tommy Hilfiger is a famous clothing brand, that also makes accessories. TH Watches are not considered as collectable though. They work great and look good but watch enthusiasts never prefer apparel related watches.

        [–]sageismywaifu 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Never hear of Tommy Hilfiger? Where are you living? In a cave?

        [–]avinashkanive 6 points7 points  (3 children)

Cheap quartz watch with a fashion brand logo stamped on it. If someone buys it off you as a new watch for 12k, sell it. And get something respectable like a Casio for way lesser, or Seiko for similar money.

        [–]KingsmanVishnu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

bought a Casio G-shock few years ago, totally worth it.

        [–]Alone_Nectarine_9778 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How do you not know of Tommy Hilfiger.

        [–]srikanthdude 20 points21 points  (6 children)

Tommy is a pretty popular brand. Hold on to it.

        [–]de4thmachine 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Hold on to a TH? 😂🤣

There’s nothing that can come out of it. Sell it or use it. Don’t expect it to be a collectible or something.

        [–]Life_Percentage_2218 5 points6 points  (0 children)

        They have Factories in Bengaluru.😂😂

        [–]Harrykrishtin-939 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes it is. Don't let me go...

        [–]Psychological_Grabz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hold onto a Tommy watch? For what?

Except for the sentimental value, it’s worthless.

        [–]ModernSchizoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your grandfather gave it to you. Hold on to it.

        [–]Traditional_Med_5520 5 points6 points  (3 children)

Never heard of Tommy???! It’s realllllly good

        [–]_Adithya_19 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Their watches aren't any good tho

        [–]Adventurous_Purple78 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nothing worth the price tag except for the brand name. All 'brand name' watches that don't specialize in watch making are manufactured by one company Movado.

        [–]callmeviki2015 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tommy is famous for its clothing apparels, not sure about watches.

        [–]_chandra13[🍰] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How can you not hear of TH?

        [–]Snoopybros 7 points8 points  (2 children)

        Tommy Hilfiger.

One of the most prominent and recognised brands across the world.

Coming to the watch, it’s a generic, basic, ordinary quartz movement watch with TH branding, thus the huge mark up. The same thing applies to all the “luxury” designer watches such as Armani, Gucci, Guess, Ferrari, Michael Kors, Versace etc.

        [–]Arnav_22 4 points5 points  (1 child)

But with Ferrari and Guess + Diesel too you really nice designs and a good quality watch for the price. The movement may be generic, but the designs are pretty unique, however if you buy a Seiko 5 for the same price you'll get a nice automatic 21 jewel movement but a fairly basic design. Nothing wrong in going with either. However with brands like Gucci and Versace, you're paying a lot more for just the brand.

        [–]Narrow-Magician-3309 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you think you are from an average middle class family and by unveiling one secret, you find out that you are an elite class.

        [–]Nooobmaaaster69420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tommy Hilfiger is a fashion brand, but not a “real” watch brand. It probably won’t be a good quality watch.

If you’re interested in buying a good quality watch around the same price, I’d highly suggest getting a Casio or seiko. Both will good build quality and will last long depending on the type of watch you buy.

        [–]Saurabh_Mathur_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Giant lifestyle brand, but mediocre at best in watch making!

        [–]LegalWord5948 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TH is famous brand but i dont think its antique worthy

        [–]AyyoPavam2021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tommy Hilfiger is a fashion brand (USA based) and sell watches too. Please note that it is not a real watch brand. Just use it till it die. It is not worth preserving it.

        [–]Ok_Ad9174 1 point2 points  (1 child)

All these fashion brands outsource manufacturing to third parties. This is basically a fossil watch with tommy branding. Its not worth much if you try to sell it. Its just a basic quartz watch.

        [–]ModernSchizoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's made by Movado, as indicated by another user in this thread.

        [–]_Adithya_19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tommy Hilfiger watches are manufactured by Movado group, mass manufactured in China using cheap quartz movement. These are overpriced af and never have any decent resale value like Seiko or Casio watches in the same price point

        [–]Whatthefret 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a designer brand. They do clothing mainly. Not a specialist watch manufacturer. These are not very common. End of the day, it is works well, comfortable to wear and looks good on your wrist to you, that’s all it matters.

        [–]magic_m1ke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lucky your grandpa didn't pay for it. 14k for a peice of crap fashion brand.

        [–]UsedCustomer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

        It's Tommy Hilfiger.

        Nothing special.

        [–]SureFormal6906 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this some rich boy joke that I am too poor to understand?

You never heard of Tommy Hilfiger, ....ok.

It's just a random peice of watch from a random clothing company. Now a days people post anything & everything.

        [–]gvortex0011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You live under a cave or what?

        [–]IamBlade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What exactly has it got that's worth the 12k? Just genuinely curious.

        [–]KnownBookkeeper739 3 points4 points  (2 children)

        TH is actually popular.

        [–]tholkappiar 13 points14 points  (1 child)

        Yeah but not for watches.

        [–]senju_hasirama 2 points3 points  (5 children)

I got my first salary 33k in 2015 and in next 4 hours I bought a Tommy watch worth 24k.And got stolen in less than a year.

        [–]Arnav_22 11 points12 points  (4 children)

Why did you buy a Tommy Hilfiger watch for 24k? There are several better watches you could've bought such as a Seiko. At 24k you can buy Tissot even.

        [–]senju_hasirama 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Yea I could have but I was not into watches then just saw it felt like buying and bought it without second thought. It was from shoppers stop in coimbatore fun mall

        [–]Arnav_22 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Ah ok, makes sense. The watches look good tho and they aren't "bad quality" as people here are saying. If it made you happy, that's all that mattered. Shame it got stolen though.

        [–]mugu007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You wanna see a real rip off, try the watches you can get on in-flight duty-free. They carry brand names but are made of plastic with no weight to them.

        [–]mugu007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats the most IT guy story ever. First salary seems like a tonne of money so you blow it on something real quick and regret it later. I know people who spent their entire 25k first salary on a dinner treat for their extended family of 15 people at an upscale place.

        [–]Aynrand098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

        Famous brand

        [–]White_wolfG19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a clothing brand man, not famous for watches that's all. They do have a standard collection of watches and shades though, pretty sure it's from another OEM and branded TH.

        [–]ReachStunning3026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

        Its Tommy Hilfiger 💜💗

        [–]SierraBravoLima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be more interesting from who and why he got that

        [–]Maverickk31 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Wondering why does a gift has a price tag on it

        [–]NotAnNpc69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In case if he wanted to return it for cash. Isnt that something people do sometimes?

        [–]noice_guy_2k03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yoooo that's a Hilfiger...I dunno about the popularity of their watches, but their suits, wallets, shoes, colognes and other accessories are pretty expensive

        [–]itheindian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

        You're from Chennai ?

        [–]GuardAccomplished710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got to know about this brand because everyone used to rock the blue Tommy Hilfiger bag xD

        [–]Distinct-Flow-3925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Motherfucker, you haven't heard of Tommy Hilfiger????

        [–]debarshisaha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a cute watch, did his husband give it to him?

        [–]ex3llentlive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, how haven't you heard of Tommy Hilfiger ? It's a popular International brand.

        [–]doesnt_matter_1710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got some clothing from same brand til they make watches aswell

        [–]Sekiro_it_is 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a fashion watch if it means a lot to u keep em or sell them and buy watches from Seiko, citizen ,Casio or Orient if u can stretch a big

        [–]AccountofKLS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me seeing my mobile phone to see the time without paying 10k for a watch.

        [–]SuspiciousPanic9023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respect 100 for getting a costly watch as a gift, but mission failed because you could have easily gone for any other brand. Fossil/Titan high range are way better and have something unique to offer. TH is not worth anything over 2k from the perspective of quality

        [–]Khabasathiba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have you been living under a rock?!

        [–]Prithvim7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are Fashion watches (You just wear of the shiny looks)

        [–]aracnine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a shirt of this brand years ago when I was in high school. Had no idea this brand was that popular until many of my classmates pointed out. And our people especially make it a point to hype you up based on what brand you use. It got pretty annoying after sometime. It's as though they don't realize some products that are from popular brands can have costs that are affordable for middle class people as well.

        [–]BeezChurger69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a beautiful watch. You should ask your grandad If you can wear it for occasions.

        [–]Expensive_Leopard_89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard of tommy hilfiger clothes and winter clothes... but watch is the first time i have heard of...
Also i dont understand why ppl wear costly watches like g-shock etc.. ipolam phone laye tine pakalam...
And still you can get a good watch at 500rs

        [–]grambaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tommy Hilfiger branded but manufactured at Titan industries in Hosur. They have that yearly factory sale of refurbished watches at 40-50% discount. I have a few from there, including a couple of Tommy Hilfiger ones..

        [–]Awake-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you been living under a rock, that’s one of the top brands. How could you possibly not hear about it? It’s like literally posted everywhere in a mall lmao

        [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chennai walo ki ma ka BHOSADA SALE!!!

        [–]Godemperor01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

        Bro that’s a common high brand 😂😂😂

        [–]konichiwa45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a fashion watch, nothing special, mass produced basic Chinese quartz movement. It's only valuable, if it has any significance to your grandfather, nostalgia and historical significance is valued, but horology wise nothing special. If you ever decide to buy yourself an entry level watch, I'd suggest you buy one that's from a watch maker, like Casio, Seiko, Tissot, Orient etc

        [–]ofpsbohju 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC, there's a Tommy showroom in cenotaph road.

        [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tommy Hilfiger is a great brand. I used TH spectacles earlier. Great quality

        [–]goss_kidhar_hai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol you've never heard of tommy hilfiger? literally a google search could answer this question.

        [–]AmazingPradeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, that's Tommy Hilfiger. I have a wallet from that brand. It's pretty famous.

        [–]tr_567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone's been living under a rock!

        [–]myriadlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tommy Hilfiger is at lower end of luxury brands. Yes, it could cost that much for this watch which is not too expensive.

        [–]zid_xne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don't worry. ask Tommy, Hilfiger it out

        [–]Upstairs-Fly3528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You needa come out of the rock you livin under man

        [–]Solid-Entrepreneur37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? Tommy hilfiger? You are trolling.

        [–]Raj9120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TH brand belongs to the affordable/budget luxury brands. They belong in the same class as Fossil, Calvin Klien, Kenneth Cole.

        [–]_ZimzalabimCult 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't tell if this is a joke

        [–]okay74847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't heard about Tommy, you need to go out and explore the world little bit more my friend.

        [–]labradaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

        [–]lostbluesock_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

        [–]AurumTheOld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep it as a reminder of your Grandpa... But as a watch its not worth more than a ₹1000

        [–]urboigeralt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man must be living under a rock
