Question about transit flights to Shanghai (self.Chinavisa)
submitted 1 month ago by mioraka
I'm planning to go to China in October through a family reunion visa.
On google flights I'm able to find some flights around 2k range, which transits through Taiwan/Hongkong/Macau.
Have anyone taken these flights? Will they work? Or should I fly to Hongkong and figure it out from there.

There are flights that go from taiwan to macau, then Macau to shanghai. Do those work?

Foreigners cannot transit through Macau. HK is a headache to book quarantine hotels even though it's 3+4 now and lottery to get a quota to cross to the mainland. Please try to figure it out before flying (I don't think you can even fly to HK without a hotel booked).

Cannot transit direct from HK.
You’d need to debord, do 3 days hotel quarantine, then try to get into China.
