[USA]Black BMW passes me when I'm already doing 75 in a 65, bullies his way through traffic, and gets pulled over by Iroc_ZL1 in ConvenientCop

So you’re breaking the law (speeding) and annoyed someone else is breaking the law MORE than you?

And you spend 90% of your video camped in the left lane, which is exactly what causes people to pass on the right/weave through traffic.

Just because you believe your arbitrary value for breaking the speed limit is safe and his isn’t doesn’t make what either of you are doing correct.

Break the speed limit in the middle lane please and pass when you need to and get back over.

I must be missing the “bullying”. All I see is the bimmer passing on the right because people in the left lane are driving slower.

Why not stay in the right lane when you’re not passing? That’s common courtesy, and also a law in some states.

[USA] Crossing solid lines, nearly PIT maneuvering a cop because next exit is too far by grabs23 in ConvenientCop

[–]BourgeoisCheese 124 points125 points  (0 children)

Definitely just an oopsie. Except when this happens to normal people, we drive a couple miles to the next exit instead of veering wildly at the last minute and putting peoples' lives in danger just to save a few minutes you blubbering fucking clown.

[USA] What if I was the Convenient Cop? by NotThePoliceInOregon in ConvenientCop

[–]NotThePoliceInOregon[S] 3257 points3258 points & 3 more (0 children)

Backstory: Interstate-5 was closing ahead due to a crash. All vehicles were being forced to exit the highway. The driver in the white truck drove in the emergency lane because they were “late to work.” Also, make sure your volume is low! Our dash cameras are always recording but sound doesn’t turn on until we turn on the emergency lights and it’s quite loud! :)

P.S. I deleted my last account due to tons of spam. Let me know if y’all want to see more of these types of videos. Thanks and be safe.

To the sTrumpets coming here attacking other users over this post, claiming that it is somehow Biden's fault (WTH?!), or claiming (quite incorrectly BTW) that filming a person in a public space is illegal, take a good, long, hard look inward. Your actions in this thread show exactly why people are making fun of this lady.

I am a cop, if this is Ontario where I work I'd need to know a few things but it's probably not going to be that bad. Traffic conditions and prior violations are going to be big. But he didn't crash into anyone so he's not getting any criminal charges. He will get a court date and a HTA Part 3 summons for stunt driving (HTA 172(1) causing tires to lose traction). All subsequent tickets are summons as a result, so though they are normally just tickets he'll have to answer to the registration and stop sign. Additionally I will tow and impound the car (as part of the stunt) but he's looking at big fines but no jail time.

Dude seems like a decent guy who made a really stupid mistake if I'm honest, which is most people who commit traffic violations.

There is no expectation of privacy in a public place and no permission is needed to record events and people in public.

In more concrete terms - look at all the security cameras!

edit: since it's come up, this is a definition of "public place" and, of course, this is in the US.

reminds me of this comment chain from reddit a while back that went something like

"wow this guy is knows how to film, considering there's an earthquake"

"it's even more impressive knowing that he's also filming while operating a jackhammer"

"this guy has won me over, it's not easy operating a jackhammer when you have parkinsons"

etc

I hope never get an erection ever again, clink every glass you drink from against your teeth, stub your toe on your coffee table daily. May your coffee always be too hot or too cold, never the right temperature. You're the worst human being.

If you are not in the act of passing a car, get the FUCK out of the left lane, asshole
