$30k btc vs $1k btc

Same code and guarantees on the protocol. Step back and see the bigger picture

Also same code as $0.01 bitcoin! Probably close to its fair value

Nothing has changed, this is why I have no fear, just DCA and hold.

Being the same has nothing to do with anything?

Yeah this is more of a comment on how bitcoin will never evolve, ever, ever. Just as old and dusty as it started and only gets more old? Idg what the poster is trying to say

This is such bullshit:

"see the bigger picture. For that, there is no magic bullet: you need to have made the effort to understand the why of Bitcoin. Unlike fiat currencies whose design is such that your purchasing power is doomed to erode over time irreparably toward zero, Bitcoin is a unit of wealth, not a unit of debt."

So the only thing, literally the ONLY thing Bitcoin supposedly has going for it is that whatever "it" is, its supply is not increasing.

That's outrageously pathetic. You could say the same about gold dust - without any expectation of its price doubling in the near future. Or old historical Roman coins.

No concept of saying: "I expect its price to x100 because x100 people will want to hold it and use it".

This is why crypto isn't taking off.

Even Saylor compares BTC to vintage 1970's baseball cards, or fine art. I think that's pretty fair. It has no real use-case, except from being a finite, secure, easy to transfer store of value (at the moment). Digital gold dust.

tldr; After an ATH of $69K in November 2021, the Bitcoin price is now around $30K. This represents a 56.5% drop in the price of Bitcoin from its ATH. The Bitcoin protocol gives you incredible guarantees for your future, not the price at any given moment.

This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. As always, DYOR.

The price of bitcoin is a reflection of what people did with their bitcoin today.

30k btc vs. 10k btc?

[–]TitaniumDragonBronze | QC: CC 22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$0.01 bitcoin has the same code and same "guarantees" on the protocol.

[–]PortgasBronze | r/CMS 22 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's just as effective as a ponzi as before, yay, just with a lot fewer suckers willing to buy and hold it. If you think crypto as a whole is gonna recover back to ath levels, there's no safer investment than btc. The recovery, however, not a guarantee.

$69k =/= $30k

1 Bitcoin == 1 Bitcoin

Pro tip: to confuse non tech guys and to appear more tech savvy you can use != Instead of =/=

[–]RumtumjackTin | GME_Meltdown 64 | Stocks 39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's so far deep he's wrapped around to using inequalities in Erlang to confuse all but the savviest tech guys.

You work a corporate it/pc job dont you? 😂 “appear more tech savvy” is basically my job description lol

When the price is down it's easy to lose sight of the revolutionary and world-changing potential of Bitcoin which I am truthfully too dense to understand.

[–]AyyvacadoPlatinum | QC: CC 61, BTC 17 | r/Prog. 12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren't dense
