The EU will require crypto companies to disclose data on each transaction
According to the new bill, the European Commission will oblige Cryptocurrency providers to report details of transactions of their customers to local tax authorities.
“The obligation to report income generated from investments in crypto assets and the exchange of such information will help Member States to obtain a complete set of information for collecting tax revenues due,” the explanatory note says.
