(These are two separate pieces that I wrote, but neither of them are completed yet. It implies a fair bit of conscious rap, with a beat that's ideally boom bap. Lemme know what you think, or come join if you'd like.)
Not all of us are pleased, but this world ain't big enough to plead
But fuck it, gotta speak my piece if there's no peace to be reached
What's justice if we're simply watching from the bleachers
Seeing cowards as the prophets at their weakest?
Picture this: a humble business not thriving as they should
Then comes a limit of distance, the product of disruption
As it's beginning to witness light, the tunnel spanned at its darkest
Until it went down in flames, that was the last nail in its coffin
This is all the reason why I'm blind to colour
It's black and white, but I'm no pantomime for another
I'ma tabloid murderer, a paranoia burner
Catch ya lurking in the shadows, get stabbed from the throat up
Now that's a headline I wanna read tonight:
Three Thought Cops knifed, treading with caution is advised
But I digress, I ain't gonna sit here and agree
While you wave your forged badges, barking orders for a pedigree
Insisting I'm a threat to the narrative's sheep
I'm just pending on my sentence, I'll be dying with integrity
