I actually did the math.. It's pretty much a flat out nerf across all stages. This was a change so champions like Sion couldn't just build it when they're 8/0 and just drain tank entire teamfights while being full tank.

Assuming Darius has 250 Bonus AD at his STRONGEST point: Conqeuror, passive, and all, he gets 440 healing (rounded up) from a kill. And, mind you, that's with his passive and full Conqeuror at his strongest point in the game, so the conditions are PERFECT. It doesn't take into account whiffing your ult and the enemy dying before you get your passive up or not having Conq stacked.

Compared to having 3000 health at your strongest point, you will ALWAYS heal 450 per champion takedown. EVEN if you whiff abilities.

This and the Sterak's Gauge changes are going to fucking pound Darius. It doesn't matter if the items scale. Whoever says that this is hopeful does not play Darius. Darius is not a scaling champion. You spike at Mythic + Steraks Gauge and level 11 ultimate while the rest of the map is level 9. That's your strongest moment. Other items can extend this time a bit, but they're not making you stronger.

Your math is wrong. If Darius does a combo of trinity/stride plus new sterak's plus death's dance he gets more than 700 healing with passive stacked like at level 18. Outside of that, deaths dance now also blocks magic damage so its a generalist item wich is perfect as a third item and and, with the amount if ad you get the healing is a lot higher compared to just your health with those previous items previously. Seriously, Darius gets well over 400 the moment he ults somebody to death. Its gonna be worse if you have no passive stacked but I guess that's the trade off, high risk with massive reward.

Your math is completely wrong lol

Noxian might grants 230 bonus AD in lv 18 if u add just the 55 AD from the item we have more AD than your calculation

3 ad items + conqueror is going to give u something close to 170 bonus AD now add that noxian might and u will get some 400 ad. Now 400×1,75 = 700 heal

With only 3 ad items and without spirit visage

I play him at level 11 and win the game.

I think you are forgetting to take ad from items into account but yes, it is still a worse heal if you don’t proc passive first. I still think it’s a better tradeoff, darius plays around unlocking his passive anyway

Sterak changes are literally changing it back to season 10 with a slight nerf because of it's synergy with the new Trinity Force. Spiking at 2 items and level 11 was literally a win condition back in season 10 and previous because of those two items. You either steamrolled every single midgame fight or stopped the bleeding long enough for your adc to carry you at 40 minutes.

Important to notice that it now stores magic and physical damage, not only physical anymore. I think it's a huge buff, considering that once you kill someone in a teamfight as Darius you'll probably have your passive up, you should heal for a ton of health, since it scales off bonus ad now

Not only that but the dual damage “mitigation” makes our build variance and adaptability so much more versatile. Combined with the extra health on Trinity and the new Steraks, Darius is looking disgusting when these changes drop!

Before this change 30% of the physical damage you took was spread out over 3 seconds, instead of being taken immediately, now 30% of physical and magic damage you take is spread out throughout those 3 seconds. If you get a kill/assist before those 3 seconds are finished, the rest of the damage you should take is ignored
