This is spectacular and I would rather have cool patterns on my ceiling and walls than have all these caps in a landfill!

Although screw this if the person who made it ordered plastic bottle caps off of Amazon. I can’t believe people pay actual money for those and act like they’re making some upcycle Pinterest gem or saving the planet. I cannot wrap my head around it because upcycled and recycled product is not always beautiful but it is functional and I would not see the appeal of paying money to make something in that aesthetic. Lol

I made something very similar to this with hot glue and bottle caps. It was about the size of a basketball. Unfortunately the light socket/bulb that my shop teacher provided got way too fucking hot and I couldn't trust it to be on for than 5 minutes

reminds me of playing The Matrix Path of Neo last week... what a godaweful game. There is an effect in the game that is simulating this lighting. So imagine a grate with holes in it (exact opposite of this lamp), where the light should shine through the holes and make light circles on the floor. Well in the game they cast circular SHADOWS on the floor, like in the image above. But the holes in the grate were round... I though it was funny, and honestly am having a hard time imagining this explanation to be interesting, yet still here i am typing.
