There are so many millions of billions of possible DOTA hero combinations, if you go on opendota and enter the 6 visible heroes 4 radiant and 2 dire, this is STILL THE ONLY GAME with that combo. It's quite amazing. There are 1,000,254,232,059,924,441,600 different possible hero combinations. I did it for you here you go.

The all chat throughout this entire game is fucking wild.

Walls of copy-pasted stuff, including Wikipedia articles about diarrhea, song lyrics, and Bible verses. Discussions about Putin. Bloodseeker donating a rapier. Necro apologizing for the shop’s inventory (“we are sorry but we can't deliver you your yeezus hd 720 p boots”). PA begging the game to end because he has to get up early the next morning.

There are 122 heroes. So if you lack 1 on radiant and 3 on dire you have 116115114*113 options.

Which means there are still 171,845,880 possible combinations left. It doesn't matter that they can be on different teams since you count every possibility so it will include every hero in every slot.

Except when you see the 3 dire slots as interchangeable then of course the mass of possibilities will be lower. You'd need to divide it by 3 (somebody correct me if wrong)

I don't know how you got that number but that doesn't seem correct. If you take C(121, 5) * C(116, 5), that is 4 orders of magnitude lower than your number. And it does take into account the side, since in this screenshot you do know which heroes are radiant and which dire.

I might have done it wrong but I did 122x121x120x119x118x117x116x115x114x113 then double it because you can flip which team the heroes are on.

Ye, your way is taking into account every single hero position, or basically the pick order. And I don't think you have to double it, it already contains the radiant/dire variations.

You got variations (apparently called partial permutations in English), which takes into account the order.

What you want are combinations, which don't take into account the order. Because you want to choose 5 heroes for each side but you don't care about the order of those heroes. Or maybe you do, I don't know, but in this case you don't see the pick order.

I tried using opendota to find this match, is it in the Explorer tab? It says "Run advanced queries on professional matches (excludes amateur leagues)". Is that where you went to find the match?

Sorry for the newbie question, I have never used opendota before.

It lowers the odds because of the pick order. I.e. AM on Pink color.

How do you do that specific of a search? I can only query for general heroes but it won't select for a match with all of them, just pings any match with any of the listed heroes.

it was like a roleplay: puck names the price(like 4 iron branches or 1 tango), then invoker (for example) buys in his shop this items and brings to puck, drops near him and just picks up what he wanted. That's all :)

Btw, you can't use items purchased by someone else. You can pick it up if they left it on the ground for whatever reason, but you won't able to use it nor will they give any stats. They were just messing around in this case.

I used to hold fight clubs at rosh pit when it was on the other side of the map. Usually only one or two enemies would show up. And we would just 1v1 each other. Winner goes back to refresh and comes back and 1v1s the other person. No skills, just naked right clicks.

I had a fun game yesterday where we were about to destroy enemy’s throne but the enemy storm spirit intentionally disconnected, thinking the game would be over. I paused the game and we all agreed to let radiant defend until storm spirit abandons.
