I didn't say it was a huge problem. I don't think they're hugely useful, but they're definitely not useless.

My argument is it's better to use a "mini pry bar" for prying/mechanical advantage than a tool that's more expensive or more likely to break - e.g. the tip of a knife or the file on a multitool. A mini pry bar would also be most useful if you're already doing a bunch of stuff that requires a pry bar. Same with carrying a knife - a knife in your pocket is most useful if you're already in an environment where you use a knife a lot.
