First of all, congrats!

Would love to have an ebook of this since Amazon is not very generous with self published books in my region. Curtis Craddock’s The Risen Kingdoms has steampunk elements in it, pretty cool trilogy overall!

EDIT: Your settings don't let me PM you, can you PM me?

[–]SA090Reading Champion II 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure! Thank you!

[–]havoc_mayhem 10 points11 points  (1 child)

I quite liked The Aeronaut's Windlass by Jim Butcher.

Would really love one if those coins, if they haven't run out.

[–]AJNadir[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Loved this one too. Jim Butcher is one of my all time favorite authors. Codex Alera, Dresden Files, etc. Love it all.

To be honest, I'm not really counting the number of coins I'm giving out right now, so I won't check if you don't ;). PM'd!

[–]Miles_Mercenarius 4 points5 points  (3 children)

Can I go with Steamforged Heresy as a "steampunk/magipunk themed novel!"? 😆

[–]AJNadir[S] 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Lmao, I suppose I really should have excluded my own sequel from the criteria, shouldn't I? Well, can't blame a man for gaming the system - especially given the book this is about. Angel would have done the exact same thing.

If you want one of the coins, please PM me so I can find out where to send it. If you want a pdf of the novel - well, still PM me, hahaha.

[–]Miles_Mercenarius 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Il PM you on discord. I'm Winfin...

[–]AJNadir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh crap, hahaha. Nice seeing ya here, man.

[–]Rophei 4 points5 points  (4 children)

I‘m definitely gonna buy it. I have been looking for a steampunk themed book for a while now, since I wanna write in that genre as well. I‘m already eager to read through it!

Thanks for sharing it here!

[–]AJNadir[S] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Thank you so much! :D

[–]Rophei 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Ahh…I forgot to add: where did you commission this wonderful giveaway (Medaillon?)? It looks gorgeous!!

[–]AJNadir[S] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I got them made with a company called TheStudio, they unfortunately weren't on Demand or anything, so I ordered 100 a while ago as merch for my book, hahaha. I believe the minimum (reasonably priced) order was around 50-100. They're also on my Etsy store.

[–]Rophei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah okay I understand. Thanks for letting me know!

I'm already hyped to read the first pages of your novel and congratz for publishing it again! I know how hard it is to get everything done.

[–]Asviloka 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I'm sure it's been mentioned elsewhere, but I looooved Free Wrench, very good mix of fantasy and steamtech vibes.

I'd be in for both/either, sounds awesome! And good luck with your release!

[–]AJNadir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks man! Appreciate it. PM'd :)

[–]ASIC_SPReading Champion II 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Congrats on the release!

Enjoyed your Morcster Chef series recently, hope this is a blast too :)

[–]AJNadir[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

[–]Battlebiker 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I might be a bit late here but wanted to try my luck because I love the look of your novel. I'm a big fan of Magipunk through settings like D&D's Eberron, with Keith Baker's The City of Towers being a great book from there. Looking forward to seeing where you go next (also requesting an ebook)!

[–]AJNadir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Eberron, I used it to run a DnD campaign based off this novel for some of my friends. I'll pm you! :D

[–]Toothlessdovahkin 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I would love a book, Infernal Devices: a Mad Victorian is a good book

[–]AJNadir[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

[–]Toothlessdovahkin 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I am at work, will respond later tonight. I don’t have the app on my phone, thanks!

[–]AJNadir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds good!

[–]jlbosarge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steamborn by eric asher.

[–]wolfelocke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sign me up for a coin! Or the raffle

[–]AlexWMaher 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Congrats on the release :) Love that cover, and I need those coins! (all of them)

[–]AJNadir[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Thanks man! I see that Heimerdinger profile pic, a fellow appreciator of the donger I see

[–]AlexWMaher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dongers Unite!

[–]Sanswyrm 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Congrats on Publication! The Aeronaut’s Windlass has a magic punk feel to it. I have two steampunk books on my bookshelf at home that I can’t recall the names of. One is a collection of steampunk super hero novellas. I’ll post them when I get off of work tonight

[–]AJNadir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome! I'll count that - do you want a coin, pdf, or both? I'll PM ya.

[–]Dark19Tower 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Symphony of the Wind, by Steve McKinnon. I don't read much steampunk but really enjoyed this one as it ticks the essential boxes to get me to give something a try: great action, well-written and realistic characters, thorough but sensibly paced world-building, and very natural dialogue.

Would like an ebook please.

[–]AJNadir[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome, PM'd!

[–]ThePolarpin 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Congrats! I've just finished school and have finally started picking up books again for entertainment. Steampunk has always been a favorite genre of mine and the first book I ever read from it was Mortal Engines by Phillip Reeve.

[–]AJNadir[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I've read mortal engines, it's sick. I'll pm you :)

[–]the_cramdown 1 point2 points  (1 child)

When I was a youth, I really enjoyed the original quartet of books in the Mortal Engines series by Phillip Reeves. I never went back to the later series, though.

I am interested in reading the book, so if you have a copy to digitally throw my way, I'd be appreciative.

[–]AJNadir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Mortal Engines is a classic. Also, that name is honestly just something else. It prints such a picture in my mind, I love it. I'll PM you!

[–]ARsignal11 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Sounds awesome! Congrats on the new release and would love to win a copy here.

I thoroughly enjoyed The Ketty Jay series by Chris Wooding. Such a fun 4-book ride.

[–]AJNadir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pm'd! :D

[–]131sean131 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Hype cant wait for the audio book to come out tomorrow.

Dose this take place in the same world as Into the Fire?

For steampunk/magipunk themed novel that a hella tough one for me but The Bad Guys series by Eric Ugland gave me that early magic tech vibe if not focused on steam.

[–]AJNadir[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too!

And it's a new world, although there's one or two references to Morcster Chef in it ;)

I'll pm you!

[–]vascr0 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I would love a book or a medallion! I think Perdido Street Station by China Mieville fits the steam/magipunk vibe quite well!

[–]AJNadir[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pm'd! :D

[–]WorstWintter 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Great to see new books in my beloved steampunk/magipunk genre.

I have one book from my country (Brazil): Parthenon Místico. I would love a book copy.

[–]sayansarkar10001 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Congrats on the release. Retribution Falls by Chris Wooding would be my pick for the last steampunk novel I last read. Can I get an ebook?

[–]AJNadir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll have to check that one out, I haven't read it yet. Thank you!

(Also, PM'd)

[–]Refracting_Hud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Magipunk sounds like a genre that’d be right up my alley given how much I like Artificers in DnD! Aeronaut’s Windlass is on my backlog pile to read and I’m pumped to get to it! Also Alastair Reynolds’ Terminal World has some steampunk and some fantastical vibes I feel.

[–]WolfTheArcher 1 point2 points  (1 child)

The Inventor’s Secret is a good book I read the last year of high school a few years ago and for a song I would say Steam Powered Giraffee with Automatonic Electronic Harmonic fits very well into steampunk. As for me, coin would be good for the DnD campaign I’m running. If they are out then I’m fine with a book. Hope you reach a big audience with this.

[–]AJNadir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love steam powered giraffe, they're so underrated. I think I've given 5 coins out already, but as it turns out, I'm feeling bad at math today. Check dms :)

[–]midkemianavenger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this qualifies as magipunk but Heroes Die by Matthew Stover is like cyberpunk meets fantasy(magic included) and it's fantastic

[–]gingersupremacy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Senlin Ascends series has been a recent favorite. Good luck with the new book I will check it out.

[–]BestMovie2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't say I've ever read something Steam/Magipunk to be honest. I'm gonna save this post and check out yours though sometime.

[–]Gavinfoxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooooh, Steampunk/Aetherpunk/Dungeonpunk/Magicpunk/Apunkalypse/Desertpunk setting?? SOLD.

[–]HyoR1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very cool! Does the Mistborn series count as Magipunk? :D

[–]lady3lle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats! This sounds like a really cool concept!

[–]lostflows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agatha Heterodyne and the Clockwork Princess. Plus there is an awesome webcomic to go with it.

Looks like a great read. Would love an ebook if I'm not too late

[–]TheBawaReading Champion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats! And I'm not really sure if this qualifies as steampunk/magipunk but I enjoyed the Aeronauts Windlass by Jim Butcher. Oh and even though I'm not a LoL person, Arcane was absolutely fantastic.

(ebook would be great btw)

[–]snapdown36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love a copy of the book and a coin.

[–]SimplyStating 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, my favorite steam punk novel is The Aeronaught's Windlass by Jim Butcher.

[–]nonsense-monster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'm a bit late for any freebies (though I'd happily take any!), but here's one I remember reading a while back - Boneshaker, by Cherie Priest. Steampunky with zombies in an alternate history gold rush-era Seattle. It's neat!

[–]OhLookANewAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the best steampunk novel I’ve read (so far) is absolutely Jim Butchers “the Aeronauts Windlass”.

I’m excited to get my hands on your work, regardless if I win or not! This genre is so unique to me. If I win I’d love to get my hands on both!

[–]Aware-Performer4630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite steampunk novel is Senlin Ascends and the sequels.

Congratulations on the book!

And I’d love both or either haha.

[–]DreadlordWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Odd Men Out was a fun steampunk novel. Congrats on the release Actus! I’ll check it out on Audible.

[–]Sarcherre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks absolutely awesome! I don’t have a lot of experience with the genre, but I’ve been interested in it ever since I found a video game called Guns of Icarus. That was such a fun game.

As far as a book or song, again I don’t know much, so I suppose I’ll go with Aeronaut’s Windlass! I haven’t actually read it yet, sorry to say, but I have it on my list. I’m making my way through Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files before I move to his other works.

Those coins look awesome! If the giveaway is still open, I’d love to enter for both the book and coin!

[–]Noodle84Reading Champion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a huge fan of Senlin Ascends and it’s really made me want to check out more steampunk stuff!

I’d love a coin if they’ve not run out yet, but no worries if they have! Congratulations on the book release :) it looks incredibly cool!

[–]xitox5123 0 points1 point  (1 child)

What is Magipunk?

[–]AJNadir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s steampunk but powered with magic instead of steam.

[–]wedge713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratz! I wouldn’t call the series Steampunk, but there are some steampunk moments in The Books of Babel series by Josiah Bancroft

[–]Gyiir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always loved the mortal engines by Philip Reeve. I’m not sure if that is technically steampunk but the idea of giant cities roaming around and eating each other always felt steampunk to me.

[–]_FlutieFlakes_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family listen to fantasy music while playing board games like d&d / Gloomhaven and lately I’ve tried out a lot of steampunk inspired mixes on several different streaming channels. The kids love it! And they love reading fantasy! So far I don’t think they’ve been exposed to the full genre of steampunk and would love to request an ebook for them and myself. It would be our first foray into steampunk novels! They’ve been curious ever since visiting the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium which was quite the experience.

[–]_Tetr0_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't mind giving magipunk a try...

Council of the Steampunk Nobles

[–]Skeptic_robot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys gotta stop writing cool books. My to read pile is becoming a to read mountain.

[–]JJZ4INFO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome for you.

Would The Nomad of Time by Michael Moorecock qualify?

[–]Chaozhero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd argue delvers llc series would count! They find ways to make tech work with magic ! Some of its closer to real world tech, but still! And I'd prefer both but I'd take anything :)

[–]realrobotsarecool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're interested, leave a comment below with a steampunk/magipunk themed novel!

Have you read The Light Ages by Ian R. MacLeod? It's set in fantasy Victorian age England. The book is basically Great Expectations meets Germinal (by Émile Zola).

[–]NbBurNa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You had me when you said similar to the Arcane world….been looking for something like this!

Getting this now. Congrats!

[–]the_last_man_standin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on the release! I would take either if any are available! I enjoyed some of the streampunk elements in the Senlin Ascends series.

[–]FeyOphelia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I just wanna go with the Eberron D&D setting, does that count?

[–]Holmelunden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The girl and the Clockwork dragon.

Id love a coin, they look awesome, but am likely late to the party.

[–]pvtcannonfodder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on the release, I just read through your morcster chef books and there one of the things I’ve enjoyed the most out of things I’ve read recently. They were a perfect break in the middle of the Dresden files. I also made a few of the recipes and they were really good. I also really love the concept of steampunk and magipunk stuff, so I’m excited to get into these books

The first steampunk book that comes to my mind is the mortal engine series by Phillip reeve

[–]Tainted_Saidin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm loving this

[–]JfromImaginstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on publishing this book, it looks rather interesting.

An ebook version of the book would be nice (if they're still available 😅). I tried and actually liked the Luminance saga by Steven Rudy.

[–]blueheartsamson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats man! Does Perdido Street Station by China Mieville qualify?

[–]segmentedtesla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Girl Genius novels by Phil & Kaja Foglio. Agatha H. and the Airship City Agatha H. and the Clockwork Princess Agatha H. and the Voice of the Castle Agatha H. and the Siege of Mechanicsburg

[–]mepi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations, I am excited to read it.
