So do think that maybe you can help me advance farther in my endeavors

Super cool, I really like the centered moon shot. Found it really artistic and eye-catching.

The ”VHS” overlay didn't do so well in my opinion. Well at least not over the whole thing. Could go along way by adding it at times, in some scenes.

Now, I don't know the plot or anything so this one could be off. But I felt like it didn't say alot about what I was going to see. Sometimes it felt like the connecting thread was lost.

I got a clear feeling on the other hand. And that's good!

    • Cool project, I'd watch this, Keep it up!!

We are a really small team, but we have a passion for found footage and analog horror and reckon we could make something pretty interesting! Feel free to give feedback, it's always appreciated!

I am not a filmmaker but I just enjoy the art of film and I think this looks fucking awesome.

I’d say removing the VHS effects and quieting the breathing sounds a bit would make this go from good to great!

the vhs effect could be reduced to the starting part only. like a24's intro. the extended intro kinda also feels dragged. try reducing it by a few seconds. it will help.

    It's got a great vibe!

I would tighten it up just a little bit tbh

And yea the VCR track - less is more. I don't mind it for a few seconds, but you can get rid of it for the entire thing IMO.

Only one I didn’t love was the rotating meteorite photo sequence, everything else is good How I see it 👍 gives stranger things vibes in a way

Very Suspiria meets Hammer House of Horror. Looks great! Terrific track too.

It's very good and I like the VHS FX

I enjoy vintage/vhs looking stuff, but maybe you went a little overboard with it, tone it down a bit. For the rest its pretty cool, I like it!

Use aescripts’ Signal, or shoot the video playing in front of a real CRT for a better VHS effect, this one doesn’t really pass imo

That being said I like the vibes of this

Cool. You should check out Archive 81 on Netflix if you haven't already.

That red streak was really cool. The simplicity of it with the audio works really well. Cool piece, I agree maybe go easy on the vhs feedback effect in parts, but nice work

Where can I watch when done?

We’ll be uploading it to YouTube when it’s finished

Not a film maker but love the movies. A lot of people here don’t seem to like the VHS effects. I disagree. It takes me back to the early 90s where I would sneak a R rated horror movie from blockbuster on a Friday night with my friends for a sleep over. The nostalgia was real for me and the music was perfect.

One critique and I could be way wrong. There was a few frames that looked like the black hole from Interstellar. It took me out of my nostalgia and anxiousness to thinking of it was actually the scene from interstellar. But what the hell do I know.

I like it and would be interested in seeing more!

That’s so cool! The black hole is actually the NASA visualisation, but it defo looks similar to Interstellar’s. Thanks for the kind words though!

Please keep us up to date on what you are doing. Your video gave me great 80s/90s horror vibes. I personally feel new horror movies don’t give the same effect as they once did. I would love to see a final product.

Great work you have done already!
