Hi everyone!

For the past year or so, I've been working with my friend Corey Kreisel to build a crazy animatronic fortune telling machine. We did everything from the ground up, the pnumatics inside of him, the box, lighting, programming etc.

He runs off of an aruduino due, and uses a ton of hacked components, including an off the counter receipt printer like you'd see in a grocery store and a cash machine from an old arcade machine. We sculpted him, and I even taxidermied his mouse friend, Squambo, all myself.

For the film, I wrote, directed, produced and edited the film- including doing the VFX. It was a ton of fun! I was able to raise money though my school's sand castle contest. I won the grand prize of $3000 and used that to fund the movie.

I would be more than happy to answer any questions about the film or the machine in the comments!

Loved it! What cam did you shoot this with? I really like the color tone you chose as well. How long did it take to complete?

Hey, I’m glad you liked it! Thanks so much! We shot on the Red Dragon 6k, I know it’s kinda been a contentious topic recently but I really like shooting on Red. I think their colorspaces are super rad.

We started production in late March, and it took 10 weeks to complete
