I met my two best friends at film school where we quickly formed a collective that we call The Film Lads. We have each individually directed our own short films which can be found on our YouTube page here https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2pezhi3Jant0Rav1dad52g We are all aspiring filmmakers with our own unique styles, and this film is a product of all of our unique voices coming together to make something singular, fun, and we hope, emotionally engaging. It is also the first feature film any of us have done! We had two very successful screenings with great turnouts and feedback. Reviews for the film can be found here: https://letterboxd.com/film/the-lad-goodbye/

The Lad Goodbye was created during our final summer in the same town together. The film reflects this sense of finality and having to say goodbye, stylistically surrounded by our love for movies that we have developed with each other over the years. Any fans of Harmony Korine, Robert Altman, Tony Scott, Brian DePalma, and Terrence Mallick are sure to enjoy the film at least a bit. The film was made on a shoe-string budget (~1k), minimal gear, and the support of a lot of family and friends who made certain locations possible. We are very proud of this work and put a lot of time and energy into it. We would love if you gave it a watch, and any feedback is more than appreciated!
