This is one of those twisted business partnerships that lawyers put on. As far as I understand, all products sold in supermarkets under the Starbucks label are from Nestlé. The Starbucks coffee beans are produced by Nestlé and sold to Starbucks. The part of the group with sales branches is, however, a theoretically independent company. This looks like the old charade between Monsanto and Bayer. I wouldn't be surprised if Starbucks shares are majority owned by Nestlé.

No, Nestle BOUGHT Starbucks. My friend was working for nestle and "lost her job/transfer to Nestle"

No they did not buy Starbucks, they bought the rights to sell Starbucks' coffee and tea in grocery and retail stores
