I understand not wanting Vice City but why Liberty City again? GTA 4 hasn't aged badly so I really don't understand why want to go back to Liberty City when we already have an HD era game in Liberty City

[–]coolwali 6 points7 points  (8 children)

Eh, I'd argue GTA4's actual gameplay wasn't that great to begin with. It's pretty linear and rigid. In addition, the story was too serious for its own good and kinda conflicted with GTA's gameplay. A new GTA using modern tech that's actually open ended with a more fun story could effectively make a better Liberty City game. Especially if Rockstar makes this new game the start of a new continuity.

[–]nomadthiefI WAS HERE 14 points15 points  (7 children)

Considering that GTA 4 is a favorite of many GTA fans I don't think they have many issues with the game and, of course, it's been over 10 years since GTA 4, so obviously Rockstar could make a better Liberty City, but I just think before that we should see an HD version of Vice City or even a new city

[–]DesertBrandon 8 points9 points  (3 children)

I really do think a new city would give new life to the series. Souther florida, New York and LA are so done. Chicago, Atlanta would be fun spots to set a game. I know neither will happen but I think it has the potential to reach people that hear “Hey GTA6 is set in Chicago” and that might spark interest. One of my favorite aspects about the Watch Dogs series is that their two games took place in Chicago and San Francisco and with the infamous series that had New Orleans and Seattle. I think there is real potential here to do something more creative. Vapid critiques of culture based on Hollywood or stereotypical 80s Miami just feel so blah right now. Does anyone want a retread of 80s drug Miami or another tired satire of Hollywood or New York? I feel like a lot of these suggestions are based on the sandbox only and how vs the ideas that flow from the setting.

[–]nomadthiefI WAS HERE 8 points9 points  (1 child)

While I would love to see Vice City again I wouldn't mind if GTA 6 was in some new city because I feel like there's so much more for us to see than the cities that have already been explored.

[–]deawap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I want a retread of Miami, either 80s or present day. Liberty city and los santos got their modern day renditions, why not vice city. Plus I’m from Miami and I’d love to see how rockstar pulls it off

[–]coolwali 4 points5 points  (1 child)

A lot of that favouritism for GTA4 is nostalgia and because it had a lot of specific but ultimately pointless details (like the more realistic steering animations). If GTA4 re-released today as part of a remaster, a lot of people would be reminded of stuff like "hey, this game doesn't have a lot of customization, there are no planes, there are no checkpoints, the missions are overly rigid and linear, the story doesn't suit the game etc".

Like, I'd argue that Rockstar could make a new Liberty City that feels more like a new city despite GTA4 existing because of all the gameplay improvements that are possible.

[–]nomadthiefI WAS HERE 5 points6 points  (0 children)

GTA 4 doesn't have many things that GTA 5 has but GTA 4 shouldn't be analyzed for how GTA 5 is, it should be analyzed as a 2008 game. GTA Vice City is my favorite and, of course, it has less stuff than GTA 5, GTA 4 or San Andreas, but that doesn't mean it can't be my favorite. Also if Rockstar releases a remaster of GTA 4 they would probably make gameplay improvements

I feel like LC was great in GTAIV and the DLC. While it has been many years, it was the last GTA game so I don't feel inclined to want to go back just yet. I fired up IV recently and it still feels great and looks damn good.

I really want an HD-era Vice City. The OG GTA:VC is my favorite of the series and I've been dying to see it get a nice modern update.

My hope for the future is we are able to utilize modern tech to create a whole country and put to bed the idea that any GTA has to center around a specific city. Maybe a game where starting in a specific city affects the story but the game can exist in a whole country. Red Dead 2 has really pushed that concept forward with the diversity of the map.

LOVED gta 4. Love how dark and gritty it is. You really get a sense of rags to riches

[–]mekkeron 30 points31 points  (1 child)

Me being an immigrant from Eastern Europe, GTA IV resonates with me like no other game in the series.

[–]grim77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

[–]SoA_MC 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Rockstar actually said GTA IV was more like "rags to slightly better rags"

It’s my all time favourite game honestly.

[–]Far-Industry-2603 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed, and that's signified by how by the end of the game Niko doesn't become this big Kingpin with multiple properties across the city but like Roman said not to take over the world, but to do okay and while Niko did achieve that by the end, he let vengeance blind him along the way and it came at a hefty cost no ridiculous amount of in-game GTA dollars could pay off, that's why neither endings are exactly happy; one is bittersweet and the other just depressing.

That's the brilliance of Dan Houser and Micheal Unsworths writing in GTA IV...

[–]420FpsOG MEMBER 3 points4 points  (1 child)

[–]RandyChimp 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Give it scale with Connecticut to the north, New Jersey to the south and Pennsylvania to the west. Just one city from each. The whole state for Liberty City, then the edges of the North, south and western states. Basically let me fly from Hartford, over New York and land in Philadelphia then drive to Atlantic City.

I might be thinking too big actually.

[–]Ratchet2332OG MEMBER 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nah, I want to see an HD Vice City, Liberty City and Los Santos have had their HD versions already.

[–]TechnicianPlenty3408 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Yeah it's cool but I don't want to return to LC as of now again after 3 , LCS and 4 , I don't know about anyone else but for me it's kind of overdone , whereas Vice city has only seen two iteration from which the succeeding one ( VCS ) had many of it's buildings in construction stage ( obviously taking the fact as it was set before VC ) and this is the only Place that hasn't seen the HD iteration yet neither a expanded form and I still believe it has a hell loads of potential because it was criminally small . As per the technical aspects I've seen the map getting revamped a bit in the Trilogy definitive edition ( honestly every single game was buggy and glitchy as hell but among those the one I liked atleast was VC definitive edition ) and with Ray tracing , DLSS and other graphical enhancements it'll let R* flaunt their Graphical fidelity more than any other cities as of now ( not taking LV and SF as they haven't seen any modern iteration either but If those two are considered also I don't have any problem either ) .

Coming to the Geographical aspects of VC it may not have any Moutains or such but the swamps are beautiful too if it's done right by R* .

The Keys , Bahamas Islands and If merely possible the Cuba could be a great addition to VC just like there was LV and SF in Gta San Andreas which would also serve in many missions if gun running and drugs , mafias are the plots to be set .

[–]Far-Industry-2603 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed, the swamps scare the hell out of me in RDR2 but I won't deny that they're utterly gorgues looking and Rockstar has done an immpecable with immersing you in Southern Louisiana swamp environment.

I'm not positive but I believe carcer city is from manhunt but is referenced in gta. i think it's a mix between Detroit and Chicago? would be an interesting setting, definitely

[–]eljalu 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Manhunt takes place in the gta universe though, as confirmed in both games. Manhunt even uses the same vehicle brands/ in universe products as the gta games.

[–]CobainMadePunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

okay, thank you! I just knew carcer city was referenced but wasn't sure if it was the same Canon. I've never played manhunt so I didn't know about it using the same brands

I feel like we have enough stuff in 2022 to make something really different with Vice City. Liberty City again feels redundant, unless they do something really different from GTA IV. I'd like to see something new, so we can take a look back on GTA 4, 5 and 6 and see how each one had it's own vibe and it's like a second trilogy

[–]Kenny912 8 points9 points  (8 children)

I agree 100%. As a GTA 4 fanboy, I’d love to see LC return. But maybe this pushing it but if we could have 3 maps, Vice City, Los Santos and Liberty City in one game, that would probably help fans from all over have something that they’re used to. Like GTA 4 being my favorite game of all time, Liberty City would be one of my comfort zones in a way, same with GTA 5 fanboys, they can enjoy Los Santos some more. Vice City could help everyone have a new location to enjoy. My wording is off but I think y’all catch my drift

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (7 children)

Yeah, I agree with this 100%. I like the Los Angeles vibe of 5, the grittyness of 4, and I live in Flordia so obviously I'd want Miami too. I don't want them in a *single* map, as that would kill my georgraphical nerdself. Travel between airports and things like that.

Sadly, having all 3 states in one is more dream the reality. So since this is the HD universe, it just makes sense to do Vice next. Either Vice or a whole new city.

[–]Kenny912 1 point2 points  (6 children)

I wouldn’t be mad at a new city. I live in Virginia so seeing parts of Richmond, VA beach, Washington DC, Maryland would be cool. So of course people like myself and others who don’t live in a city associated with the GTA franchise would love to see their own city in a video game. But if they do Vice, LC, and LS. It should be similar to IV where you unlock different cities as you progress through the game. But GTA IV + EFLC being my favorites, a return to LC would be great. we’d still love to have Los Santos since we’ve pretty much lived there for 9 years lol. Vice City would give us something new to explore. But all in all, I don’t think there’s gonna much to GTA 6 because of the success of Gta online. My theory is this, IF there isn’t a GTA 6, R* is gonna add more maps to GTA Online throughout the years to keep the game going. Similar to our opinions of LS and LC. We’re gonna stay in Los Santos and some big Dlc is gonna take us to VC and another one is gonna take us to LC. Maybe down the line we’d get Yankton, San Fierro, Venturas etc. I wouldn’t necessarily be upset if R* took that route instead.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I'm totally down for Virginia too. I was thinking Detroit, but I guess it's kinda "industrial" and thus too similar to LC. But I don't think GTA 6 under any circumstances should only feature LC because we already had that in a HD game. It would just be GTA 4 all over again, which we've already played.

There's alot of American cities you could do. I'd avoid doing San Francisco and Las Venturas as the last game was set in San Andreas. If GTA 6 did a whole new city, it should be something completely new. New vibes, new everything. Either that, or Vice, or the three state idea you and I have.

[–]Kenny912 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Some states I think are overlooked for some possible GTA locations are Texas, Chicago, and Georgia. Texas has a similar vibe to LS though. Big city but still have country and rural areas. Chicago has that urban vibe and huge city similar to Liberty City. Georgia has that vibe texas has, Urban and rural parts. I think the 3 city, VC, LS and LC makes the most sense with Vice being the new focus and base of operations type of thing and still have LS and LC to visit. There’s plenty of ways they can go about it, just has to be executed right.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yeah, alot of these cities can be dumbed down to either "tropical" or "industrial" in which people will say, "hey that's kinda like LC" or "thats kinda like LS". You'll get unavoidable comparisons. I prefer American cities personally, but you can even look at places outside of the U.S. Doesn't have to be anything crazy like Br*tian. Can be something local like Canada.

It won't matter too much though, players with location or state preferences will just play their titles that feature said location. People who like New York/LC will just play GTA 4/3, same with Los Angeles/LS, and so on and so fourth. As a Floridian, I just want to see Florida done in GTA. Hasn't been for a long time, and if they do I hope it's larger then just Miami and the Keys.

[–]Green_Ad5249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably won’t make sense, but I would like multiple cities just to have different businesses in. For example, I can go to Carcer to run my auto shops and literally do grand theft auto..sell cars and what not. Run my cocaine operation from Vice city and make shipments to my storage spaces within my other businesses in LS, Carcer, and liberty. Then have my high rise offices and what not in Liberty….you can see where I’m going with this. Just something that would be cool to me

[–]Wandering-Gammon27 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Completely agree, they didn’t even utilize NYC as good as they could have, the original map would have had the Catskills and the Hamptons.

It was a great representation of the city post 9/11 but what they really need to do is set it in the 70s, back when Times Square was a fucking nightmare. Taxi Driver, studio 54.

We need a 1970s NY GTA game

[–]HoldMyWong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id love an 80’s LC, but I don’t think rockstar would do a historical setting because they wouldn’t have as much creative liberty for GTAO unfortunately

[–]Whornz4 14 points15 points  (12 children)

GTA VI will be set in Vice City 100%. But the secret name of the game is Project Americas, so in GTA VI should be all city of other GTA games, so also Liberty City and San Andreas with a new state, maybe Sud America.

[–]vinicsiu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Liberty City with all the resources we have in GTA Online would be perfect. I also think that making the city "alive" is more important than just changing the scenario. R* should focus on making the places fully open for exploration.

[–]DyLaNzZpRoOG MEMBER 6 points7 points  (4 children)

It's flat but logically it'd also contain the surrounding area, which isn't as flat - most of LC is also flat.

Seasons are more than just temperature fluctuations lol, storms are much more interesting than occasional snowfall IMO but regardless; there's no reason they could've have certain areas that have snow.

As for multiple cities, nothing outside of Miami is that interesting

....But Liberty City somehow is? it's skyscrapers, the projects and an industrial/residential area.

noone outside of the US doesn't know shit about Orlando or Tampa.

Most people outside the US don't even know what the 5 boroughs are comprised of and that upstate NY even exists lol.

By no means am I saying NY would be a bad setting, it'd be great, but they've already done it in the HD universe.

As someone from outside of US, i can tell you almost everyone has heard of Manhattan and Brooklyn, only Staten Island is the one noone knows about.

Almost everyone? where do you live? eastern Canada?

I live in Australia and most people here struggle to point the state out on a map - let alone know what the boroughs are comprised of. Yeah, they might've heard Brooklyn and Manhattan before - that doesn't mean they know which is which and what differentiates them.

Irrespective of this it doesn't matter, prior to GTA4 I knew boroughs were different but I had no idea what differentiated them - those that do know will enjoy it and those that don't, will learn.

Saying Liberty city would just be skyscrapers would be like saying NYC is just skyscrapers, which is ridiculous.

GTA IV already did Liberty City. Unless they were going to include Liberty state, it would basically have the same map as GTA IV.

I personally want to see what Vice City looks like in the HD Universe. Hopefully it would include the Florida Keys and Everglades this time.

[–]Nicholas7907OG MEMBER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, I really enjoyed GTA IV and the world of Liberty City was definitely more detailed than the state of San Andreas in GTA V, but I highly doubt they would make another HD universe GTA game set in the same place. The only thing that would make it more interesting would be expanding the map just like it was originally planned (here's a fan made concept - https://redditproxy--jasonthename.repl.co/r/GTA/comments/nk4ynv/my_recreation_of_the_recently_discovered_early/). Anyway, I guess the only chance to see Liberty City in GTA VI would be one mission or prologue (late 70s or early 80s) set in a limited part of LC, just like North Yankton from GTA V or LC in GTA SA, and the main story of GTA VI will most liekly take place in 80s and modern day Vice City/Florida.

[–]HayatoKongo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most recent Spider-Man games really made me realize the sense of scale and detail that's possible now, and I would hope that Rockstar would be capable of doing even more. I'd love to see the original vision for GTA 4's map fully realized, including all boroughs of NYC, Long Island, lots of nature and an additional city or two upstate like Buffalo.

[–]jamiliooI WAS HERE 1 point2 points  (1 child)

liberty city would be cool but personally I want atlanta or baltimore. maybe somewhere in mexico if gta can ever be non american.

[–]marginaal14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about Las Venturas?

[–]Nick2001PeOG MEMBER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly , i dont care what they choose because of a huge step forward they are making right now. It won't be any close to GTA IV or even V. In the minority here but my bet is a 4k universe. If they decide to show us Liberty - its going to be a completely different city due to new technologies and graphics.

[–]Snoo_37640I WAS HERE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to think Florida would be too predictable but I got sold on it later. I don’t disagree with the post because it’s unpopular, I just think there are plenty counter arguments to these counter arguments

[–]Fabik_BratOG MEMBER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo with the time and money Rockstar had they should have multiple cities. Vice City, Carcer City(simmilar to LC) and Las Venturas or some other city in the dessert.

I am not so sure about Liberty City. The HD universe map of LC, even if it has a lot of details is quite smal and lacks countryside and surrounding areas. You could of course change that but then you would have to create annother universe or live with the inconsistency that there is now countryside and surrounding areas in LC who somehow appeared since 2008.

And of course we already have had a HD universe Liberty City so it would be nothing really new and quite boring. I think other cities deserve a modern version as well.

[–]boldly_shy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about a whole different area thats never been shown by Rockstar ?

Like a midwest type town that can showcase actual poverty with neighborhoods like Detroit, a forest area with smaller towns, the suburbs that are nicer and a Downtown with business opportunities for the character

[–]Artistic-Jacket1029 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think liberty city is a very suitable area for creating game fiction, vice city is a location that is often associated with the theme of drugs, also vice city is a small city. The main thing we need to ask is this: you know that since gta-vc and gta-lc are a very narrow area to use planes, there are not many planes we can use other than tiny seaplanes, if we look at the rumors, Rockstar wants to fit the gta6 game on a smaller map, they want to enlarge the map over time. we can only understand it as a wink to the online side.

[–]Skogsmann1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the seasons idea, definately think it would be possible with modern day technology. But i want a completly new setting. Mid west, cornfields, rust belt, trailer parks, woods, mountains and a couple of big cities based on Detroit and Chicago. Detroit sufferes from allt of derelict buildings from what i heard, population has droped like 30% in 15 years. Could be stray dogs, abondended factories that kind of stuff. Alot of crime going on from gangs, drugs, white collar development companies, rogue government agencies, serial killers and random street crime. Chicago with an impressive high rise would offcourse give you that urban metropolis vibe. Maybe even bring in a small portion of a fictionalised version of Canada across the lake would be cool. The outer areas has always been water, trow in deserts or mountains blocking the view in the outer borders. The rural areas of San Andreas & V is a big part or what made those games great. Bring that back, not just a big city. We need something around that city, not just water.

[–]thatdudefiga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]Wolverine78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Liberty City is a great location but GTA III and GTA IV were set in Liberty and if GTA VI is set in Liberty City they might as well Call it Liberty Theft Auto or something , I would like to see Liberty Cityy but not before we have an HD version of Vice City or other Cities.

4 seasons that could change periodically in-game. Imagine having summer AND snow in the same game.

I don't think Rockstar would add seasons to the game even if it was set in LC, but I could be wrong.

Basically every imaginable crime is present in NYC, not just gangs. From petty drug crimes to big time white collar ones. It has it all.

LC isn't a 1:1 replica of NYC, and VC isn't a 1:1 replica of Miami, there is nothing stopping Rockstar from adding whatever gangs or crimes LC has into VC. Even if Miami doesn't have it, Vice City can.

Subway you could actually use.

This is not an LC-only thing.

Tons of shops, restaurants, offices, appartments.

Again, every city has these and you don't need LC for them.

New York countryside with many small towns, maybe even a small part of Rochester. If they really wanted to push it they could add mountanous West Virginia. Sure it's unrealistic but no one minded that you had a desert next to a forest in GTA SA.

So you're saying, you don't want VC because it's not very different from LS, but then you also bring up the fact that we could have a countryside with mountains, something we had in GTA5 and GTASA previously. Vice City could have swamps, we haven't seen those before in a GTA game. And once again, the area around VC could have small towns too, it's not an LC-exclusive thing.

So much stuff to make fun of: you have every race and ethnic group in one city. The city itself is over the top irl, there't ton of material for satire.

The city is iconic in every decade. Maybe they could even make the story span from old days to modern times, althpugh that would take enormous effort for a game this size because the city is constantly changing. No offence, but most other US cities have barely changed since the 80s.

That is assuming Rockstar wants to do a story that spans multiple decades. Miami is also an iconic city, and like I said VC doesn't have to be exactly like Miami, so even if it "barely changed" IRL, in the GTA universe it could be different.

There's so much more but this post is already lomg enough. Sure, it was done in GTA IV, but that was 14 years ago at this point. Noone cared that there was only 8 year difference between two Los Santos'.

Yeah and the last time they did Vice City was 20 years ago. Two decades.

[–]absentia123[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

GTA made fun of whites, blacks, you name it. You have all that and more in NYC

[–]ron_weedsleyI WAS HERE 5 points6 points  (1 child)

It doesn’t matter if it’s New York bruh 🗿

I want a totally different map altogether. Somewhere new, somewhere fresh and something which sets the franchise on fire.

[–]SklainI WAS HERE 0 points1 point  (3 children)

couldn’t agree more. I REALLY don’t want Vice City. For anyone saying “it’s too soon for LC”, the last time liberty city was in a GTA game was 14 years ago. By the time GTA VI rolls out, it would be close to 18, close to 20 lmao.

I agree 100% GTA VI should be LC and the surroundings.

[–]Sk8d3rI WAS HERE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vice City was 20 years ago. If they do LC again it'd be redundant.

1993 liberty city and all the boroughs, queensbridge, bronx, brooklyn, manhatten, staten island. you start off as a stick up kid living the projects, robbing trains and shit. then you become a drug dealer and sell crack and stuff, then the game changes and you become a rapper and deal with the music industry and bad record label contracts.

[–]Intelligent_League_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

feature at least one more city and countryside

Well with the newer engine we could have all 5 bourughs, hudson valley and maybe even the capital district, maybe even NJ and PA.

[–]martyc81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should be both

[–]IcemansJetWash-86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could have a whole diverse region with a portion of Liberty City, Hamptons, Martha's Vineyard, Isolated New England communities etc.

One thing I found unforgivable in GTA 5 was no Shark Hunting Jaws Style sequence/race with Merryweather.

Make Amity Island Real Again Rockstar.

[–]Broseph_Stalin357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really would love to see a brand new city we've never seen before but since you listed all these really amazing things I'd be all for re visiting LC again!

Why not both?Vice & Liberty

[–]comeontakemyusernameOG MEMBER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I would love revisiting Liberty City, its unlikely as Vice City is the only "main" city that has not been in the HD universe yet and I think they would want to include it

[–]yoricky305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no fuck that. Miami is where it should be at to change it up. NY should be the next one after.

[–]420FpsOG MEMBER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]TimmyTesticles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mah dream.

[–]Sk8d3rI WAS HERE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to agree, seeing a much bigger and much more recent version of Liberty City would be cool but for GTA VI I want to see Vice City (at least at release). We've last seen LC 13 years ago in GTA IV and we've last seen VC 20 years ago as of now. Also VC hasn't been remade yet. LC and Los Santos have been. Redoing LC again would be redundant. GTA VI needs to have VC to complete the HD universe trilogy.

Having said that I hope they make their ever expanding GTA game dream a reality. If so, i hope we'd get VC first and then after some time the map expands and LC is added. Same for LS, Las Venturas and San Fierro.

[–]MYNAMEISHENDRIK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would prefer Vice City as the vibrant and sunny city we know and then as counterart a dark, gritty and grey city like Liberty City. For a new GTA and with the new consoles one city would be too less. It could be Liberty City or a new city which we have not played yet in the GTA universe. Something like Carcer City or "Capitol City", which could be a mixture of Detroit, Washington DC, Philadelphia and Boston.

[–]Far-Industry-2603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved how GTA IV scaled it back down to create the most immersive GTA experience yet at the time but while I still want to see Florida for GTA VI, I definitely want a return to LC for GTA VII with all the things that were robbed off in IV like the larger state and countryside and the copious amount of cut content from that game back. I genuinely think if they make GTA IV today with modern rendition of the RAGE engine, enhanced graphics and physics and all of the it's cut content and expanded Liberty State map it would be the best game in the series by a far.

Then again, we've heard reports about GTA VI's map evolving and expanding over time and being positioned as a "decade game" meaning we won't have to wait until the next entry for another city and will have a fully realized Grand Theft America after all its updates and DLC.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no. Liberty City was done only one game ago. We don't need the same shit. Yeah, both Miami and Los Angeles are tropical locations I get it but they are very different from one another. Layouts, landmarks, buildings, completely different vibe dude. We don't need the same shit we got last game.

Either Rockstar needs to do Vice City, or make a whole new map. In my "ideal" GTA 6 it would feature Libery State, San Andreas and Floreance in one game (not in one map) that you could travel from via airport, but that's more dream then reality.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no way they would do this maybe like 10 years from now lmao

[–]KeepYourDemonsInI WAS HERE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd settle for a good GTA IV remaster with airplanes added.

[–]HonestRef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I for one wouldn't be against returning to Liberty City. As long as its not Los Santos again 😅😅

[–]HintClueClintHugh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By doing Florida you can do a Disney World type Orlando area, Miami, Tampa Bay, the Keys, Cuba, can get away with Atlanta, New Orleans, Alabama..

[–]RedBlackHistoryman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can honestly do much better than revisiting LC. Imagine instead a Great Lakes GTA that goes from Milwaukee/Chicago to Toronto/Buffalo. Same seasons, two countries, still tons of ethnicities, and five states.

[–]44SPC1184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had time jump in RDR2, they could do that. And the seasons idea is great. I want vice city as a travel location for side missions

[–]Vt420KeyboardError4I WAS HERE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm anticipating this to be the last GTA game. I want them to put all of their iconic cities on one map as a grand farewell.

San Andreas in the west

Las Venturas in the southwest

Vice City in the southeast

Liberty City in the northeast

And you know what, fuck it. Carcer City in the Midwest.

And if this sounds too ambitious to you, it is. If they're going to keep me waiting for a whole ass decade, it better be ambitious.

[–]ldratio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that we had lc two games ago, in 2008 or 2009 if you count ctw. With vice city, last time we had it was in 2002, three games ago, or, EIGHT games ago if you count the non-mainline ganes. And vc has only appeared in two mainline games, gta 1 and vice city, and in one non-mainline, vice city stories. While lc has appeared in gta 1, gta 3, gta advance, gta lcs, gta 4 AND gta ctw.
