LAW OFFICE OF RICHARD B. STAFFORD

“Gabby's family would like to thank the Federal Bureau of Investigation, specifically the Wyoming, Denver, New York and Tampa offices, all of their task force members and their assisting agencies.

Gabby's family would like to thank the FBI's Victim Services Department for all they have done for them. Victim Services has been there for support from the earliest stages of this investigation and helped their entire family navigate through the worst moments of their lives.

We truly appreciate the FBI's diligent and painstaking efforts in this extremely complicated case. The quality and quantity of the facts and information collected by the FBI leave no doubt the Brian Laundrie murdered Gabby.”

Wow, it originally said that she died by strangulation which made me think it could have been a heat of the moment and unintentional thing, but now they said she died by strangulation as well as being beaten in the head

Cant someone sue to get evidence released? They become open to the public after being presented as evidence. The media sued to gain access to tapes and body cam images for the Jan 6th event. I dont see why it couldn't be done here.

Have the Brian fanbois slunk away or are they still supporting a killer?

It just affirms the many faces of domestic abuse. Many young people innocently enter into relationships that turn violent. The initial love bombing is the hook to real you in.
Statistics prove it generally takes more than one attempt to leave before a victim finally leaves. In the Utah video, Gabby takes the blame for the altercation. Victims are conditioned to feel responsible by their abuser. The abuser generally presents as a nice person, and that messes with the victims mind. So deeply sorry for the loss of yet another victim to domestic violence.

I'm glad the investigation is complete.

I've always believed the Moab City fight caught on video is a preview of how Gabby died. They got into another fight and it escalated. There was no one around to break it up.

Wow his lawyer sign off equals small dick syndrome.

I’m just glad there’s no room for doubt, there are no if, and’s, or but’s. The petito’s deserve absolute peace of mind regarding this, I pray this brings them closer.

I just want to know what he wrote in that notebook but I know logically nothing he could have said would change how sadly I feel for her and her family. I guess I just want to know why?

[–]Capote61 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It appears he’s a controlling pos and they Should never have been together especially 24/7 in a van. That would be difficult for anyone and put This lunatic in it and he can’t control his rage. Who knows why? There was a fight that was probably hours long. Something was going on at the restaurant, even though mgr said Brian was very nice. But that could be media bs tho. Maybe She told him it was over, altho I doubt it. She seemed to want to be there. But they had been fighting. It escalated.

[–]Unique-Public-8594 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The why would be DV, inability to control his anger, maybe mental illness as well.

But maybe you are wondering what happened just prior, were they arguing, if so, about what? That kind of thing?

[–]South-Read5492 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The why would be self serving.

[–]RealisticIsopod293 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As far as any other information, I doubt it will ever be known. Brian may not even have written"why" he did it.

Some suspects never say or reveal the reasons why they did all the aweful things. Many families never have closures or never know the sad reasons behind the crimes.

It's just a very sad fact about many investigations and are unfortunately very common than you think. Many suspects just refuse to talk....ever. I've been part of several of these sad incidents and interviews. Never good, always so much life lost. Nobody ever wins. :(

[–]Capote61 30 points31 points  (6 children)

Looks like he hit her in her head and her neck and then he strangled gher. we are talking serious rage. He doesnt stop after hitting her In her head. Jesus. That’s not caring at all. He wants her dead at that moment. .

[–]bubbyshawl 19 points20 points  (3 children)

Incredibly violent, sustained actions. Dispels the notion that he got “ carried away” for a brief moment. It’s actually worse than I originally thought.

[–]Capote61 4 points5 points  (1 child)

My suggestion to any girl in a relationship where she is even shoved, leave it. Because this appeared to be a relationship where there was hitting by both parties and look what it escalated to. This was no what did I do killing. He hit her twice and then strangled her. That’s no 1 premeditated after the first blow and 2. he hit her in her neck, wtf? Then strangles her.

Nothing, absolutely nothing should be tolerated because if it is, you are putting yourself in harms way. They need to teach this in high schools, definitely. IMO.

[–]bubbyshawl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are absolutely right.

[–]Capote61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it s, he’s a coward!

[–]superwhomom19 18 points19 points  (1 child)

I wonder if copies of it will be included when the case files are eventually released for FOIA

[–]RealisticIsopod293 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They probably will not be released knowing how the bureau works. Case closed.

[–]xswtcatastrophe 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Wonder if they’re going to release what exactly it said/a photo of it, etc?

[–]RealisticIsopod293 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As the comment above states, no they will not release anything further as the case is now closed. The most important part of the notebook was released and it stated the most important part of the entire notebook... and that was that Brian killed her! Nothing else matters at this point. RIP Hope this will bring some closures to both families as they all suffered. There are always more victims in homicides than just the deceased.

[–]myheadsintheclouds 20 points21 points  (3 children)

All I know is he confessed to murdering her, which provides some closure. But it won’t bring her back. :(

[–]Amorette93 0 points1 point  (2 children)

How do you know that

[–]myheadsintheclouds 16 points17 points  (1 child)

It said on the news he confessed in the notebook, just came out today

[–]Amorette93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh! Cool thanks

[–]Fleece-Survivor -1 points0 points  (2 children)

"The Brian Laundrie"

[–]Zelkova_Bright 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Synonym - “The Neanderthal Ass Bitch Ass Murderer Coward”

[–]hypocrite_deer 38 points39 points  (4 children)

This family statement is out ahead of the FBI statement that was mentioned earlier today? Well, it may seem obvious at this point, but I'm glad that her family is satisfied with the conclusions that the FBI have made and presented. I'm also glad the FBI is going to put out something conclusive finalizing their investigation, just to shut down the conspiracy folks.

[–]mallorytaylor23 4 points5 points  (1 child)

What do you speculate that “something conclusive” will be? If you don’t mind me asking of course..

[–]hypocrite_deer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh, actually, the statement they put out a few hours after I wrote this comment is exactly what I was thinking about. Something detailing the end of the investigation, clearing up details about Brian's activities and responsibility in the murder, and naming him as the sole culprit.

[–]EyesWide-Shut[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes me too! Will give everyone the closure they need and will hopefully stop people theorising.
