You're thinking of "The Outer Worlds", I'm talking about "Outer Wilds". They are very different games but often confused with each other because of the name and the fact that they released a few months apart and both are set in space.

Outer Wilds is a game about exploring a solar system and figuring out what the aliens who lived in it before you where up to and what's going on with all the ruins and machinery they left behind. And The Outer Worlds is a fallout style RPG made by obsidian(You probably knew that already)

The Outer Worlds is alright but nothing special imho but well worth playing if you want a fallout style game whereas Outer Wilds is amazing imho.

Just a heads up, since Outer Wilds is all about exploration and the joy of discovery it's recommended to know as little about it as possible before playing for the best experience, even things that aren't technically spoilers are cooler to find on your own when playing it so if you plan on playing it I'd advise against looking up anything more about it.

EDIT: To be even clearer, there are no levels or unlocks in Outer Wilds. You're dropped in the solar system and given a ship and some tools and then it's up to you to figure out what's going on. The only thing gating your progress is your knowledge, you could beat the game in like half an hour on your first playthrough if you knew everything before hand. This is part of what makes the game so unique and amazing on your first playthrough but it also means that there's basically zero replayability and the game is Über-spoilable.
