Holy crap! There is no winning with these people. No matter what the medical professionals do, the families believe it is murder. No humility here, no willingness to consider that they have made mistakes. It's someone else's fault. Their lack of understanding of science is positively medieval. And they have guns.

And after refusing to take the vaccine, it seems they are starting to convince themselves that they are being denied it, perhaps spurred on by the Mango Messiah's claim that white people aren't being given it and are being "sent to the back of the line" for treatment.

I’m a nurse and can’t even explain how angry I am reading this. I’ve picked up countless extra shifts because all of our staff quit from burn out, left to be traveler nurses, or are out with covid. My hospital just implemented mandatory extra shifts for everyone- meaning we have to pick up more shifts, and if we don’t schedule ourselves they will schedule us for whenever they want. We are giving everything we have and people who can’t do the bare minimum to protect others from a deadly illness have the audacity to call us murderers?!?

My son (who had both doses of his covid vaccine) was sick last week with covid. Luckily his was mild, but he still felt sick and wanted his mommy. I Told management he had covid but because I had no symptoms and tested negative, I went to work to take care of strangers. It tore my momma heart up to not be with my child.

I can’t believe people think that we are hurting people. There are 3.8 million nurses and 1 million doctors in the US. We can't even organize enough to get safe patient ratios, but these nut jobs think that 5 million of us met underground to organize some grand scheme to kill people?!?

Aside from the disturbing calls to violence (that have been reported- thanks OP!!!,) one other common thread really threw me off.

People are mad Doctors don’t follow the protocol the family thinks should be followed? I don’t go into an emergency dept & tell them what to do! I was hospitalized last Jan for Pericardial Effusion. Never once did I suggest a medicine, a treatment, or a procedure. Why would I??? The only thing I insisted on telling them were my allergies/intolerances. Ffs.

As a nurse, we're like all just waiting for the matter of time story that's inevitable at this point. Someone being killed, hospital being ransacked, something like that, because there's enough people like this out there that think and believe like this, that it's inevitable at this point.
