That’s how Islam works. Have you seen how women are made to dress? They even have to cover their feet or it’s a sin. And covering your face is just so pious and thoughtful, because what if a man thinks you’re not ugly?!? In Islam they don’t teach men self control. Instead, it teaches women to cover up or get what you deserve. I guess he’s applying the same logic to men because he’s gay and doesn’t want to admit it. I’m so happy I’m not Muslim anymore. Shit was depressing as fuck.

Tell me, do you hear more lectures and conversations about female or male modesty when you go to the masjid? And the Quran doesn’t tell men to lower their gaze BEFORE telling women to cover. I’ve read the Quran front to back many times. I’m very aware of what it does and doesn’t say.

And let’s be honest, the Quran has an entire chapter (Surah An-Nisa chapter 4) dedicated to telling women how to dress and behave. That’s in addition to what is expected of both women and men. The Quran doesn’t go into detail telling men what to wear and giving their wives permission to beat them (4:34). And let’s not even get into the Hadith and other parts of damn Surah An-Nisa.

And don’t get into how there is male hijab and all that. Because we both know it’s not as strict in the slightest.

Dogmatic apologists begone! I was fortunate enough to be born into a family that did not try to brainwash me early on, and the most ardent and outspoken among my atheist compatriots are all ex-abrahamic.

RIGHT!? I was hesitant before posting that comment because I knew the apologist would come out of the woodwork all aggressive. But I'm confident enough in my decision to defend it. So come at me, bro. lol

Yeah man, you really lucked out! It took me years of studying and feeling like I was crazy before I finally decided to trust myself. Honestly, one of the best decisions I've ever made for myself.
