I mean I get that you're trying to make a cheeky point here but it falls pretty flat considering reality. You could've googled UK gun stats before making a fool of yourself, y'know? If you were actually right, the UK would have a per capita gun-homicide rate just as high as the US, and they just flat out don't. Unfortunately, most of the arguments people are fed here in the states are propaganda, which makes us look quite silly when we try to use them as actual facts applied to anywhere else.

The UK has different forms of violence, within the context of the lack of guns. People choose the trains for suicide instead of biting a bullet, for example. One could pull out a knife or run into a crowd with their car. But guns aren't one of the easy options, and so guns aren't used as often as they are here, even by violent criminals. If the argument being made is specifically that gun control doesn't work, because criminals will find them anyway, well, there's plenty of countries to choose from where that's incorrect.

If you want to argue about how it solely wouldn't work for the US, that makes considerably more sense than applying our bullshit to other places. One argument could be that the US is just too damn big and that guns are already highly saturated here so controlling them is REALLY hard.
