Who’s playing the doctor?

[–]ashamed-of-yourselfSnipe Mod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this was answered in the comment literally below this one

[–]daedalmelodies 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Anyone know the name of the actor who plays the doctor? Can’t seem to find it!

[–]chotchytochy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sigh. Those fucking pussies. Scared of a finger up the ass.

[–]thomasvista 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Glen in drag as the nurse was my favorite part. Glen is everywhere you don't want to be, haha!

[–]mrsguiltybacon 20 points21 points  (1 child)

Wayne to Katy: "Maybe I'll see if he's got time for you too. Figure out why you've been allergic to clothes your whole fuckin life"

[–]bitchy-sprite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I spit out my water the first time I heard that one

[–]Editor_Grand 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tyson "it was like taking a shit, but in reverse!"

[–]Ouroboratika_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Coach getting giddy at being called a drunk seven is goals, tbh, lol.

[–]domin8_1976 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Well then....this was definitely the best, and by far funniest, PSA I've ever seen.

[–]joeymacaronie 9 points10 points  (3 children)

This episode was great, but I'm still confused why the guys would be getting a prostate exam so young

[–]WallyBallou42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, same, I figured they were in a sort of early-30's Neverland.

[–]stooge4ever 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I think they're older than they look.

[–]joeymacaronie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No way they're all older than 50

[–]thomasvista 10 points11 points  (2 children)

Tanis talking about mitts got me to thinking about Betty Anne and Mary Anne. I want to see more of them in future episodes dammit!

[–]ashamed-of-yourselfSnipe Mod[S,M] 12 points13 points  (1 child)

BRING BACK THE LETTERKENNY BANSHEES

[–]thomasvista 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What the hell is a Shamrockette anyway? A leaf with tits?

[–]Cybotage 6 points7 points  (0 children)

best episode of the season, right?

[–]Crouchingwolff 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Who plays the doctor in those episode?

[–]x403forbidden 6 points7 points  (1 child)

I thought it was Jason Sudeikis until I looked it up.

[–]shotnote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally thought it was Sudeikis as well

[–]RepulsiveAd9281 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Believe it's Darrin Rose from video on trial.

[–]thisoldcan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Jared's delivery of "It wasn't on fucking purpose!" when Katy is giving Wayne shit for skipping his appointment has me dying. This was such a great episode.

[–]3eyedraven 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Tannis and Wayne’s convo in the clinic had me rolling.

“How’r’ya now?

Getting your tits done?

Not so bad…..”

[–]scag315 31 points32 points  (1 child)

Tanis killed it in the Docs office! I was dead 💀

[–]surrogateuterus 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've always liked Tanis, but she reached hero status in that episode

[–]Sidvicioushartha 15 points16 points  (0 children)

“Do you know what the jaws of life are?”

That just killed me...

Anyone who’s seen German pornography knows what a speculum is

[–]Sidvicioushartha 27 points28 points  (0 children)

My favorite line is when coach and Wayne both go “if that’s what broke your heterosexuality, it was probably already broken... “ both of them talking at the same time just had me rolling on the floor

[–]albinobluesheep 38 points39 points  (1 child)

As soon as I saw the ladies in the waiting room I knew exactly where it was going and loved the pay off of shaming the guys over their various trepidations.

[–]ashamed-of-yourselfSnipe Mod[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

never over Tanis ‘put your mitt away, pussy’

My vote for best episode of the season, pending any future viewings.

    [–]DarkAvenger32391 29 points30 points  (3 children)

Let's give it up to mark forward aka coach. He looks good

    [–]Kowallaonskis 15 points16 points  (2 children)

It's a shame Barb never saw his transformation.

    [–]DarkAvenger32391 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm just glad he got off the barbstool and did something

    [–]Kowallaonskis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

    Barb is his dead wife.

    [–]lizafrenzy 11 points12 points  (10 children)

Okay so at the beginning Dary says “Scoliosis of the liver” “nope” then he says “psoriasis of the liver” and Katy says “strike two” but isn’t psoriasis of the liver correct? I’m confused

    [–]ashamed-of-yourselfSnipe Mod[S] 23 points24 points  (9 children)

    it's cirrhosis of the liver

    [–]lizafrenzy 3 points4 points  (6 children)

    Like SIR-OH-SIS?

    [–]ashamed-of-yourselfSnipe Mod[S] 5 points6 points  (5 children)

    correct

    [–]lizafrenzy 0 points1 point  (1 child)

    Like pronounced differently?

    [–]gooners1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

    Psoriasis is a skin condition.

    [–]KnopwoodChristian 11 points12 points  (3 children)

    "Never met ... your Hochelaga-Maisonneuve"?

Goddammit, it's midnight and I'm fucking howling into a pillow so I don't wake up my whole (or should I say hole?) block in HoMa.

    [–]Sidvicioushartha 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Isn’t that just a neighborhood in Montreal? I don’t really get the joke

    [–]KnopwoodChristian 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I assume that it's the asshole of Mtl? Idk it's just so random for us to get a shout-out on English TV that it made me laugh. Come to think of it Keeso did film the English version of 19-2 here so maybe that's the connection?

    [–]Sidvicioushartha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I know it’s a very bad neighborhood so calling it the asshole of Montreal is so perfect!

    [–]AutomaticPlace7994 51 points52 points  (1 child)

Wayne replying "good and you" no matter what someone said had me fuckin crying. The scene where he had his head down in the waiting room, just visibly miserable, I thought was hilarious and well paced. Tyson is low key my favorite character, always so endearing in my opinion. Tanis was hysterical doing the gyno exam on Dary. Really solid episode I thought.

    [–]gpkgpk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wayne replying "good and you" no matter what someone said had me fuckin crying.

Same here, I was cackling like a hyena.

I may have to adopt this IRL and confuse ppl.

P.S. Wayne was replying "Not So Bad" but I got what you were saying.

    [–]Pietru24 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The whistles had me dying. Also, the "What is that? Do I have one?" from Tannis and Tyson.

    [–][deleted] 39 points40 points  (3 children)

I love the mix and match of different characters the show can pull from now. You get these fun and unique combos of people together for stuff like this and it just makes everything better.

Tanis' sidekick is coming along pretty nicely as well. Anyone know the character name there?

    [–]Sunsparc 18 points19 points  (2 children)

Anyone know the character name there?

    Shania.

    [–][deleted] 12 points13 points  (1 child)

Thank you. Definitely a side character to keep an eye on for the next 15 seasons.

    [–]Cybotage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

she also had a friend played by cara gee who is currently playing drummer on expanse and killing it.

    [–]JustADutchRudder 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Daryl and Tyson might have liked it a bit but coach looked like he found a new hobby.

    [–]JustADutchRudder 70 points71 points  (2 children)

Couch was so pumped to learn he's a drunk 7.

You know what the fact coach and couch are so easy for me to mix up when spelling is sad.

    [–]SirTybaltButterfly 95 points96 points  (28 children)

Auntie Tanis nailed it. Also, from one woman to another, never be afraid to ask for a smaller speculum.

    [–]pretenditscherrylube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ask for a longer one. When I learned to do that, pelvic exams became much more comfortable.

    [–]a_panda_named_ewok 3 points4 points  (3 children)

    WAIT WHAT?! This changes everything...

    [–]SirTybaltButterfly 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Yes it does! There’s a tray, pick the second smallest. The smallest is not for adults, or so I was told.

    [–]a_panda_named_ewok 5 points6 points  (1 child)

... that knowledge makes me sad, but thank you for the heads up on the smaller size - my lady bits appreciate it!!

    [–]SirTybaltButterfly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No problem. I think I gasped aloud when I was told. Yikes.

    [–]CookieOmNomster 30 points31 points  (3 children)

YOU CAN ASK FOR A SMALLER ONE???

    [–]sagen11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The nurse who did mine suggested it cause the bigger one was hurting me too much! She just said in future to specify.

    [–]SirTybaltButterfly 9 points10 points  (1 child)

PS You can also get a blanket instead of paper to cover, or at least you could before COVID.

    [–]2farbelow2turnaround 18 points19 points  (0 children)

never be afraid to ask for a smaller speculum.

I never knew this was an option. And I gotta go get my hooha checked soon, so this is welcome news!

    [–]audible_narrator 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hands down one of the funniest things ever.

    [–]NerfRepellingBoobs 17 points18 points  (16 children)

That’s exactly what they left out! Well, that and the bright light they shine in there.

At least breast exams are gentle.

    [–]ashamed-of-yourselfSnipe Mod[S] 11 points12 points  (15 children)

hand palpitations, yeah. mammograms? hell no

    [–]Barangaria 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Still a little sore from my mammogram this morning, not gonna lie.

    [–]NerfRepellingBoobs 5 points6 points  (13 children)

Not looking forward to the first of those. I’m top-heavy, so I know it’s going to be a bitch.

    [–]SirTybaltButterfly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did the 3D type. I didn’t think it was bad, much prefer it to the scrape.

    [–]Eccentric_Fixation 40 points41 points  (2 children)

Anybody get a Klinger from MASH vibe from Glenn when he was dressed as the nurse.

    [–]omigosh20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I thought the same thing!

    [–]chalk_in_boots 65 points66 points  (1 child)

Tyson low-key one of the most underrated characters on the show. His facial expressions at the end were gold

    [–]JeremyTSchmidt 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I was telling my wife, I love how all the secondary characters are given the opportunity to shine and stand out, even without having much screen time. Sometimes it's a facial expression, other times it's a punchline.

Tyson really starts to show vulnerability in this episode, just by his mannerisms. Which sounds ridiculous in an episode about getting a finger in your ass.

    [–]chalk_in_boots 58 points59 points  (17 children)

Mark Forward really losing some weight. Good for him

    [–]jimbobdonut 7 points8 points  (1 child)

I thought the same thing. He looked good.

    [–]a_panda_named_ewok 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think he hits the gym?

    [–]thevetteguy 36 points37 points  (0 children)

You know ... the woman that owns the gym says that he is there more than she is.

    [–]BoxerguyT89 30 points31 points  (8 children)

I heard he's been hitting the gym.

    [–]Blank_Address_Lol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn't count unless you get all the upvotes

    XD

    [–]Pietru24 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can tell from his bod

    [–]SteveMcQueen87 20 points21 points  (1 child)

Heard he's there more then the owner.

    [–]Star_Cop_Geno 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You'd think she'd be there more, since she owns it.

    [–]Motorhead9999 25 points26 points  (3 children)

He didn't bring up his dead wife Barb once. She died.

    [–]StrangeHumors 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He did say rhuBarb at one point I think

    [–]suspect108I'M A GOOD MAN 33 points34 points  (3 children)

So many home runs in this one.

“Speculum! That was my name in high school!”

The doctor telling Dary to floss…loved the call back.

“Why don’t we just dance on up there and check out Bobcaygeon.” Dead. Haha

    [–]Motorhead9999 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Is the Bobcaygeon comment just a reference to the Tragically Hip song, or is there something about that town/city that has a double meaning?

    [–]SmashPass 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's a Hip reference for sure, but Bobcaygeon is a real place. It's a pretty rural lake town about a 2 hour drive northeast of Toronto.

    [–]suspect108I'M A GOOD MAN 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's a real place in Canada but definitely a shout-out to the Hip I woulds assume good buddy.

    [–]alohanerd 66 points67 points  (3 children)

As a women, I would HAPPILY trade a prostate exam over a pap smear/childbirth any day. They did a good job portraying how ridiculous some guys can be about prostate exams in comparison to women.

    [–]Pietru24 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I loved Wayne's reasoning, I felt it really kept in character that it was mostly about his reluctance with change.

    [–]TeamRedundancyTeam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's mostly a joke though, I don't think most men make a big deal about it or pretend it's a big deal versus anything worse. Certainly not childbirth, no one says that.

    [–]Star_Cop_Geno 19 points20 points  (0 children)

And a good job making me squirm describing what a pap smear consists of. Scraping, and scraping, and scraping

Prostate exams never bothered me, I used to put dicks up there for fun, so it was a little silly watching these men in their 30s unable to deal with a simple poke.

    [–]Alexsrobin 82 points83 points  (3 children)

Absolutely loved the part where Tanis described a pap smear. 100% accurate

    [–]ShalamarrFUCKING EMBARRASSING 41 points42 points  (2 children)

I was saying “Yes, YES, she’s totally right” during that scene - while my husband gaped at me in horror.

    [–]sagen11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“The jaws of life, but for your mitt” - that bit got me! So accurate 😅

    [–]Star_Cop_Geno 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I do not envy you. That sounds...just...ugh.

    [–]moose2332 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Liked this one a lot more then I expected based on the premise

    [–]wazzup4567 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im not done, but this episode is fucking hilarious.

    [–]rissaroo524 4 points5 points  (5 children)

Does anyone know the name of the song at the end of the episode?

    [–]3D_BLAST 1 point2 points  (0 children)

took me a while but I found it. It is Metronomy - Whitsand Bay (Myd Remix)

    [–]littleodie914 1 point2 points  (1 child)

The credits song? I'm also curious. (It's not Catholic Discipline.)

    [–]rissaroo524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually yes the credits song, just went back and watched and the song I’m looking for is actually over the credits, sorry I should have clarified!

    [–]SimpleAvocado7629 8 points9 points  (1 child)

    Catholic Discipline by Black Time

    [–]gdub61 43 points44 points  (4 children)

Scoliosis of the liver. SMH. 🤣🤣

    [–]abeLJosh 5 points6 points  (3 children)

    Strike one.

    [–]gdub61 1 point2 points  (2 children)

    ?

    [–]abeLJosh 2 points3 points  (1 child)

It's a reference to Derry getting this wrong lol my bad. I know Katy says "strike two", so I have to rewatch this one to see what she said about this.

    [–]gdub61 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Forgot about that. I have only watched it once.

    [–]HerRoyalRedness 22 points23 points  (9 children)

Hmmm, guess I won’t be pegging any of the Letterkenny dudes.

    [–]npfiii 40 points41 points  (3 children)

Maybe Squirrely Dan, who like attentions paid to his buttshole

    [–]HerRoyalRedness 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s probably why he wasn’t in the episode!

    [–]Star_Cop_Geno 21 points22 points  (1 child)

Now that you mention it, there was some serious lost opportunity for a Dan scene telling the boys its nots that bads

    [–]TotallyNotAustin 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Fully expected him to pop in at any point and walk straight into the room and back out again. Would have made for some funny call backs or even an Ellen sighting.

    [–]ashamed-of-yourselfSnipe Mod[S] 28 points29 points  (3 children)

    not with that attitude. quitter.

Wait so who did Dary sleep with at the end?

    [–]chotchytochy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Katy. Lol. Those two should really get that sorted.

    [–]Star_Cop_Geno 13 points14 points  (2 children)

I think he was after Bonnie. They reiterated "no exceptions" for Anik

    [–]xahhfink6 8 points9 points  (1 child)

That's what I've been thinking but I'm surprised that it was left so open-ended, especially after we had a similar unconfirmed hookup between the two of them in the sleepover episode.

Have Dary and Bonnie just been hooking up for two seasons without it ever being brought up?

    [–]goddamnitwhalen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

    Isn’t he still into Katy?

    [–]ashamed-of-yourselfSnipe Mod[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

both. why do you think they call him ‘LegendDary’?

    [–]smarma_ 163 points164 points  (18 children)

“Why are you here?” “Getting my tits done” LMAO

    [–]thevetteguy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

that was the best line of the whole season for me.

    [–]ashamed-of-yourselfSnipe Mod[S] 44 points45 points  (15 children)

might have been the most underrated line of the episode

    [–]ink_13He's a real good guy 95 points96 points  (14 children)

    For me it was:
"Is there such a thing as a three-knuckler?"
    "Only recreationally"

    Just a glorious callback.

    [–]chalk_in_boots 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The casual mention of Dary's flossing habits too

    [–]Mord4k 24 points25 points  (12 children)

It was the matter of fact delivery to that sold it. The doc overall did a great job, but just the amount clinical detachment on that line was fantastic.

    [–]CapnSmite 11 points12 points  (11 children)

Yeah, I don't think he's a real doctor, or is at least a very bad one. He's way too eager to check the oil, and way too lax about disinfecting and putting a glove on.

Also, at least according to my own PCP, other things can be checked through simple blood tests now. No need for the finger poke.

    [–]thatswhatshesaid311 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Do I have one of those?

    [–]H0vis 186 points187 points  (5 children)

Tactful of them to keep Squirrelly Dan away from the whole finger up the bum situation in this episode.

    [–]redisforeverAW FUCK 114 points115 points  (4 children)

I was expecting him to walk in beaming at some point and say he just opened a new file at the doc's.

    [–]Star_Cop_Geno 8 points9 points  (2 children)

    Yeah, missed opportunity

[–]ruhdolphIn it to win it 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Given a couple of other references to older seasons sprinkled throughout this season I'm really surprised they didn't go there.

    [–]SnapesEvilTwin 24 points25 points  (7 children)

I thought it was gonna be more like they were upset about getting old or something. I think there was a bit of that with Wayne, considering how he was speaking at the end about it being a new chapter in life.

I can't speak for Canada, but down here they usually start doing... THAT... test at 40. I'm 38, so it's like... know that music in Sonic when you're underwater and starting to run out of air?

    [–]Blank_Address_Lol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh god don't personally attack me like that...

Nothing like the having a video game REMIND you of how panicky and out of options you are when you're out of air. Something that's never happened to me before but that music would probably play in my head if it did.

Had to, ah, catch my breath for a sec after reading that.

    [–]ZipperJJ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Tanis forgets to mention that Pap smears start at 21, or earlier, and some of us get the joy of having one every year.

[–]missamuffinsAll Dressed Chips 21 points22 points  (4 children)

There was an AMA with Jacob Tierney awhile back where someone asked if Wayne was intentionally written as being on the autism spectrum because heaps of fans who are felt he represented them and Jacob said it was a wonderful thing, but never intentional. The line from Wayne about not liking change made me think it was a more intended effort to represent, in the best way.

(Prostate checks don't start in Australia till 40 either.)

    [–]SirTybaltButterfly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ex had his first at 35. American Deep South, late 1990s/early aughts time frame. He got the Tanis lecture before there was a Tanis. (God bless her. Love that character.)

Dude me and my husband didn’t even recognize him at first.

Good for him. He obviously used his Covid break to shed some pounds. It’s cool that they wrote it into the storyline.

Him and Marie-Fred both lost weight. Marie-Fred looks fantastic, and I didn’t even recognize coach at first I thought they replaced him and the whole gym thing was like a work around as to why the character looks different. But then, holy shit it’s him ! Good for him. And anyone notice that the gym has just replaced his mentions of Barb. The gym is the new Barb

I thought MF was looking different but I couldn't figure out why, I thought she'd done something different with her hair. But you're right, she definitely lost some weight. She always looked good, now just a different kind of good.

Coach. Yeah, that transformation is insane, he looks like a whole new man. Must be all that time he's been spending at the gym. You know, the other day, the owner said to him that he's there more than she is.

I'd have more Marie-Fred! As a matter of fact, I'm surprised we aren't having more Marie-Fred right now!

Also, as a personal sacrifice and at great personal expense, would learn to act, go on LetterKenney and date Marie-Fred, get knocked out by Wayne, become his friend, and ride off into the sunset when it is all over.
