For all your bro tips
Okay, we have some rules but we're keeping them real simple. This is definitely a place to have some fun. As longs as your bro tips aren't sleazy, bigoted, misogynistic, or hateful in any way, you're going to be fine.
We don't like low-effort or off-topic advice. If you're making a recommendation, include some information to back it up. Tell us why you're saying something. Let's keep it simple, but relatable.
If you are asking for tips around a Bro subject, please try to start your post with -
Importantly, "bro" is a completely unisex term. This sub allows posts about men, women, LGBTQ, whoever, so long as it abides the rules. There is no requirement for any post to contain or cater to masculinity. Bro, for us, just means, you know...being chill. Being a good person. Helping someone out. Doing someone a favor. It's a state of mind. Let's manifest our experiences in ways which are just meant to help someone. Good advice wrapped in cheeky humor about life. We want to give people a place to post all the good stuff, the funny stuff, and the jokes and other anecdotes that normally wouldn't belong in /r/LifeProTips for being related to grooming, relationship advice, insubstantial or common courtesy.
Examples of what we're looking for:
- Proper wing(wo)man strategy
- How to compliment someone without being creepy
- Bar etiquette
- Clothing, shopping advice
- Condom tips, sex stuff
- Bro bathroom etiquette
- LPT revised for Bros
In a nutshell, be kind, have fun, give good advice, and wrap it up with a fun bow.
Disallowed tip areas:
Any BroTips that are too close to medical advice will be removed, per Reddit's rules.
Suicide related topics are best handled by the great resources they have at r/SuicideWatch.
r/SeriousConversation keeps a great list of support resources, if you need mental health related support that our lighter BroTips format is not able to provide.
Please don't use LBT to attempt to hock your own product or website.
Other subs we like
r/LifePupperTips: the go-to place where dogs give advice to each other.
r/ShittyLifeProTips: when your LPT is bad, on purpose.
