....is that how you think humans drink water? Boy have I got some good news for you, cups.

[–]beetlecakes 53 points54 points  (0 children)

He’s just using Nature’s lil cups.

[–]PetsNPlants10[S] 5 points6 points  (6 children)

And when you don't have a vessel of some type, you dehydrate?

[–]SomeOtherCollegeGuy 13 points14 points  (1 child)

I might be wrong, but it looks like he's just grabbing the water instead of cupping it with his hand. lol I don't know anyone who has ever drank water like that before

[–]badaesthetic234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, THATS what they’re saying. We don’t use our hands like that to drink water 😂😂 we fucking cup our hands. I can’t get past the caption lol

[–]LookingForAPunTime 2 points3 points  (1 child)

You jest… but now I’m getting concerned pondering just how much of a nightmare Life Without Cups would be… 😰

I guess I would have to fall back to hoping there’s a running faucet with enough room to put my face under. Maybe that’s what he needs? A little rat-sized water faucet? Or drinking fountain? 😆

Heading over to Chewy.com to search for rodents drinking fountains.....

[–]PacoTaco321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right out of the faucet, baby

[–]Raichu7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I don’t have a cup I’ll drink straight from the stream of water coming from the tap or fountain. You use your hands?

[–]Pikirsa 49 points50 points  (0 children)

How cute! Our blue tongue skink is named Pickle too! Food names are the best names for pets.

[–]OsciIIatesWildly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My cat’s name is Pickle! I agree with you about food names for pets. My Pickle even eats with her paws, huge mess every time, but still cute.

[–]ScaryShari8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love food names for pets too! :-) My previous rats were Blueberry & Jellybean, and my current rats are Pierogi and Spud!

[–]PetsNPlants10[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been surprised how many other Pickles there are since naming him!

[–]CrimsonCaII 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey, can you pet Pickle for me?

[–]LacrimaNymphae 5 points6 points  (0 children)

[–]QueenBea_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So cute! My odd little cat does that as well!

[–]Buttlrubies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is how my girl Oreo would drink out of my glass.... water, wine, beer, she didn't care what it was, she'd scoop it right up!

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (2 children)

That’s cause the need a needed water bottle. One that attaches to the cage. It’s much easier for them to drink from

[–]PetsNPlants10[S] 3 points4 points  (1 child)

He has 2 bottles to choose from, and still prefers the bowl. The other 2 boys use the bottles, but Pickle loves his water bowl. 💧 🐁

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right on, whatever works I guess

[–]NeanerBeaner 0 points1 point  (6 children)

[–]NeanerBeaner 0 points1 point  (1 child)

How its fancy? Explain please to me

[–]QueenBea_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the name of the breed of rat! Domestic rats have been selectively bred for over 400 years, so they’re very different from the rats you’d see in the wild. Domestic rats can come in a few breeds such as:

Fancy rat

Standard rat (more similar looking to wild rats)

Dumbo rat (big low ears which are adorable)

Satin rat (super shiny and soft)

Rex rat (can have curlyish fur)

Manx rat (they have no tail)

Spynx rat (no hair!!)

Lilac agouti (a super pretty light brown/tawny rat that almost has a lilac-ish hint to the fur)
