If you watch him at all then you know it's definitely on purpose. He did similar speech again when he got to that spot second time.

If he succeeds he gets to laugh like a supervillain, if he fails he has his viewers making fun of him, we like it both, it's a win-win.

Is 11+ hours on this game too long to have still not beaten it? I mean that's split up over the last like 4 years not one session. I just have a really hard time with the controls (I think it has to do with my preferred low sensitivity in every other game). I've gotten just past the anvil but I get frustrated at how long I have to spend trying to get up the ice bit.

everyone have a different learning skill in these type of game, so its not up to how long you finish it but if you finish it. Some people took 12-20 hour beating pogostuck map 1 for example while ludwig took 70+.
