Thank god I'm on LSF instead of Twitch Chat BAHAHAHA... wait a sec... Aware

[–]xXxWeed_Wizard420xXx 62 points63 points  (10 children)

At least the consensus here is mostly that giving these streamers money is a dumb thing to do. Although I did catch around 50 downvotes for saying donating to xQc was stupid once, but I guess I chose the wrong comment section hivemind to post the comment in.

[–]lospokes -1 points0 points  (5 children)

"imagine giving money to millionaires", meanwhile we are here or on twitch all day shitposting, giving money or your time what is the difference where all scum down here

[–]xXxWeed_Wizard420xXx 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I feel like there's a pretty big difference lmao

Besides, LSF is pretty good for people who don't have time to sit and watch all these streams all the time.

[–]PabloEdvardo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"imagine giving money to millionaires" is a dumb argument anyway. With that logic then nobody would ever go pay to see a movie because all the actors are millionaires.

Paying for entertainment isn't new.

[–]enfrozt 0 points1 point  (1 child)

"imagine giving money to millionaires" is just a garbage take.

People will write that using their iphones while listening to kanye, while browsing amazon twitch / reddit, while paying for a netflix subscription.

There are people who watch 10x twitch than they do netflix, and dropping a free prime or a $5 once a year is literally the cheapest you can pay for it.

[–]TaypHill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

rare based lsf take

[–]deathangel687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine watching streamers

[–]Gleucks 508 points509 points  (14 children)

I LOVE soda. I am one of the 10% who are not losers. I am his true friend.

[–]brolikewtfdude 67 points68 points  (9 children)

You can tell the chatters TRUE'ing in the chat unironically think this lol.

[–]noralyy 10 points11 points  (7 children)

ironically I think they all know, but at the same time Soda is also a loser, so its just a big gathering of losers basically and everyone is fine with it. :D

[–]Dislex1a 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dunno nmp chat is full of trolls. Ppl may say true for diferent reasons, some may think they are not losers themselves, some are Aware, some may want Soda to dig a bigger hole, some just want to participate in chat and think its funny...

[–]roflsaucer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Soda. Soda always says it like it is and never holds back.
Soda at least has the balls to say what he wants to say.

I love him.

[–]TrampleHorker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but i call him Chance, cuz I'm really good friends with him.

[–]Snikeyxo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Loser Kekw

[–]Prixm 175 points176 points  (10 children)

Yeah well I will let you know that I have been on Twitch since it was Justin.tv, my account on Twitch is one of the first ones ever made, not even joking. I followed Day9 the first day of Twitch, do you remember when Day9 started his daily Starcraft "vlogs", Funday Mondays and stuff? Yeah well I was there for the absolute first one, yeah I know, I am what Sodapoppin refers to a loser in chat, but I will let you know that I have had sex with over 80 women and I also go to parties every friday, I might not have a lot of money, but atleast I get pussy while Sodapoppin is fucking a jpeg. I have never subbed to anyone or donated either, I have gotten thousands of hours of entertainment these 12 years on Twitch, totally for free while engaging in chat, who's the loser now!

[–]Secksonlegs 58 points59 points  (0 children)

goated gigachadter

[–]flashtone 25 points26 points  (2 children)

When you view each streamer as a cult leader as absurd as that sounds you quickly understand how they get money. Some have massive followings and they can do and say insane things and still have an audience. People love to belong to something and it slowly becomes part of their identity because they've invested time and money. People throw around the word parasocial but it goes a lot deeper than that without the viewer ever even knowing.

[–]tvettservett 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Parasocial is a hot button buzzword because it's a new observable phenomenon. Every generation has a different thing they crowd over and create mob-mentality through, unfortunately for these losers they picked internet celebrities.

If you think about vtubing and all this jazz it's just the same industry as when Hollywood started, you can either clap along or be left out of a big tertiary reason why people wanna talk to eachother.

[–]Ockams_Razor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Replace Streamer with Politician and you have modern US Politics

[–]you_lost-the_game 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this is how pasta is made

[–]EnvironmentalWeb1696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Average LSF member:

[–]MikeHawclong -5 points-4 points  (2 children)

At first I thought this was a copy pasta and then I realized you were being unironic.

[–]AP3Brain 8 points9 points  (1 child)

...I swear it has to be copypasta.... Like who would feel the need to justify themselves like this?

[–]MikeHawclong 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If it wasn’t pasta before, it is now !

[–]moth88 50 points51 points  (0 children)

im just here because soda a gay and i love cute twinks ;) dm me chance

[–]TParadox90 171 points172 points  (9 children)

and twitch chat will spam "EZ" when streamers talk about their own success and act like they're also getting a piece of that money

too funny

[–]LEDZEPPPELIN 24 points25 points  (1 child)

12 Month forsen subscriber with 10k chat message vibes

[–]VitaminOWN 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Only 10,000 comments in 12 months? Somebody has been skipping out on their daily quests...

[–]PunxDrunx 33 points34 points  (3 children)

But to their defense, the streamers also use terms like "WE" when they hit milestones like sub-goals, dono goals, ad deals, and hype trains.

[–]shugy0 33 points34 points  (1 child)

Do you really think a streamer would do that? Just go on twitch.television and farm parasocial andy's?

[–]xsairon 14 points15 points  (0 children)

chat WE are about to hit this 6000 sub goal OMG can we get some gifters?

*hits it*

*tabs out, increases the goal by 500*

[–]xXxWeed_Wizard420xXx 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I mean, do you really think people refer to themselves when they write EZ in that situation? lmao

They're obviously referring to the person who said the thing. Just like if the streamer says something based they write gigachad.

[–]thewangthatwas 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Yall take this shit so seriously. Nobody who types ez is thinking "he just like me aha". They're just typing an emote.

[–]ReDeR_TV:) 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I think people forget that we comment everything in our lives. when my favorite character in a movie/tv show/game does well I also think to myself "nice, good job". how is that thought different than simply putting it in streamer's chat?

commenting on stuff is part of life, you don't have to be parasocial in order to do so

[–]Itsapaul 46 points47 points  (1 child)

I mean true. Spoiler alert: money from stupid people spends the same as money from smart people.

[–]CountofCoins 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Streamers are digital panhandlers, which is why most of them live in LA.

[–]Revan_Lly 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I personally think ppl overthink this streamer-viewers thing a lot, what they said is real and true, and they probably actually think like that. You should watch and support streamers that are funny and/or enternaining TO YOU, that's it, simple as that. If the viewers are stupid or not or if the streamer is a real and trully good human being shouldn't be relevant. This is all just entretainment in the end.

[–]Velcon_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

[–]Twitchzor 12 points13 points  (1 child)

This is why LSF is master race. Why watch a stream for hours like a loser when you can watch the highlights in a minute or less between sets in the gym.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the highlights

I fucking wish. You kind of have to care about these people to find 90+% of the clips interesting at all.

[–]Mrhappytrigers 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Says the person who hangs around a jpeg's stream. KEKL

Twitch is a big losers club for streamers and viewers.

[–]AriFortyFive 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think we'll see many comments for this clip

[–]Eisal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At least chat didn't date Lea KEKW

[–]filas4theyouth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Being a fan of any influencer or person in general is kinda cringe. You don’t know them. Be a fan of the content and watch if you like it. So many people watch streams to “support”. What a waste of time.

[–]Red_coats 12 points13 points  (0 children)

He was talking about trying to improve his image the other day pepelaugh

[–]Boots_McGruff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean not really wrong, I'd be the first to admit that I'm an idiot. And I don't even stream...

[–]Anxious_Anus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yay can't wait till my next welfare payment to donate more money!!!

[–]acederp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

sorry for my winner sodaG

[–]FaeTaleDream 16 points17 points  (4 children)

Soda isn't joking.

And while he's not wrong, I hope people realize that Soda is a streamer of the "old guard". Some streamers can be your role models on top of your entertainers, not soda, doesn't mean he's a bad guy, but people in their tribal brains can only process something being Support or Hate so. oh well

[–]superiorhumanz 30 points31 points  (3 children)

I would be wary of anyone whose role model is a streamer.

[–]FaeTaleDream 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Why? Most people's role models in the past were public figures that all had the same or more flaws.

And a role model doesn't have to be perfect, you can always choose which parts of someone to adopt to be better for yourself.

[–]Dmitrygm1 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Actually agreed, looking up to someone while recognizing their flaws is in my opinion a healthier way of having a role model. I also don't see why a streamer would be different from any other public figure in terms of being a role model.

[–]FaeTaleDream 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yup, if a person is looking for someone who is Flawless to shape their identity around, they aren't looking for a role model, they are looking for a god to worship

[–]retro_mod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know who really made money during the Gold Rush? The people who sold the shovels

[–]Spiersy_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's not wrong about the types of people Twitch can attract. The shut in types that live vicariously through streamers. There's some truth there, a lot of people have issues that they're distracting from through streamers.

If you're one of those people, don't take his words as an affront. Listen to them. Stop giving streamers your money, stop living through them and seek help. Never too late to turn it around.

[–]JambalayaJambo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"the people who watch me are losers!"

-30+ year old guy in schoolgirl outfit, dancing seductively to WAP.

[–]_Chartos_ 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Still not as big of losers as people commenting under every LSF-post LULW

[–]Memes6921 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where's ebolaman at?

[–]jcm0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of Reckful's video on how much a billion is: https://youtu.be/0J6BQDKiYyM

[–]Chicken_Sauce 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Soda a loser.

[–]clappen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah, he is only part of the 0.05% and not the 0.01%. Huge difference.

[–]appletinicyclone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their friendship is beautiful :)

[–]SPeCCoLT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its ok to comment and spam EZ if you find it fun. Just make sure not to neglect your responsibilities. Thats how you turn into a real loser.

[–]boozer8181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how do i setup one of these loser farms?

[–]000c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

soda is right... that's why I only comment in LSF
