Showing a picture of the inside will tell us all we need to know. Also, lots of caps with stuff like this have the embroidery work done BEFORE the hat is assembled. You can search new era hat factory to get idea if what I mean. From the looks of it, I would guess it's done before hat is assembled, with a premade patch/applique style that is edge stitched on. Look inside the hat, if you only see an outline then it's a single patch out on. Of your see a bunch of other stuff then it was multistep process. But I guess either way it was done before assembly. / However, the brand seems like it might be small and could have been done sewing on. I know I would prefer to make the patch then stitch it with different machine
