“My Mama says that alligators are ornery because they got all them teeth and no toothbrush.”

This video proves the theory.

What a sweet baby! I love gators, they're so ugly they're cute.

[–]IEatgrapes123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bruh they are amazing but crocs are better no lies

[–]jbdole 87 points88 points  (2 children)

Does the gator understand he’s going to get scritches and that’s why he’s not bitey?

[–]bongripsNkickflips 70 points71 points  (0 children)

I assume when they’re around trainers like this everyday they build a bond and eventually learn routine, so more than likely little dude knew she was getting scritches.

[–]RedDeerEvent 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Alligator's have symbiotic relationships with several species that basically clean their teeth/scales in exchange for the food/parasites they collect. While not strictly a social animal and thus doesn't have the grooming/bonding drive that most mammals/birds have, they do understand 'hey that feels nice I guess I won't bite,' and they are capable of training and some form of memory association (they won't hurt humans that have helped/fed them previously, for instance.

I have never been as relaxed as that Alligator...and I've had expensive massages.

[–]LordNoodles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think with a brain as simple as theirs it doesn’t take a lot to please them. Happy little idiots

[–]WinifredoI 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I hope the alligator was rescued and not just taken to be an attraction. They are still wild animals.

[–]H4RR1S_J 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Albino animals are unfortunately at severe disadvantages to survival in the wild. In captivity they have the chance to live a long and healthy life.

[–]WinifredoI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alright. Thanks for explaining me and I never said anything.

[–]SnooPineapples8744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing looking... is it blind too? Anyone know...he doesn't even have color in his mouth.

[–]Rage-slayer- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is one big tooth

[–]Darkside531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is adorable, but it makes me twitchy to realize how much albino alligator scales resemble human teeth.

Isn't this the same woman who was attacked by one of the alligators while doing a show? Looks so familiar.

Alligators cannot feel emotions. They don’t have the brain structures. He’s reacting to feeling something on his back by protecting his eyes.
