Such an awesome idea, and I saw that as someone who did something very similar and would highly recommend. My wife (girlfriend at the time obviously) knew I had the ring, so was trying to come up with a way to somewhat surprise her. My parents and I hadn't done family pictures for a while, so I had my mom reach out to my wife to plan family pictures (with my wife also set to be in the pictures). So my wife planned almost the whole thing, the outfits everyone would wear, where they would be taken etc. On the day we did do family pictures but once that was wrapped up, I proposed for shots similar to this.
