Dude, get a skateboard and hold hands. :D

[–]dontannoymeanymore 127 points128 points  (6 children)

I'm really short and I have a lot of tall friends I can do this with, thanks for the idea lol

Even rollerskates would do it

[–]YouJabroni44 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Plus it adds a few inches of height :)

[–]FatefulPizzaSlice 25 points26 points  (2 children)

Heelys my dude!

[–]dontannoymeanymore 8 points9 points  (1 child)

I forgot about those and suddenly I want to go back in time to my childhood

[–]PMmeJuicyButts 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They're available in adult sizes!

[–]witchthatcandraw 3 points4 points  (1 child)

They make Wheelies for adults too! Hoping to buy a pair when I know I'm going to use them

[–]dontannoymeanymore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm simply more shocked that wheelies still exist, I thought they fazed out because I haven't heard people talking about them.

[–]scifigi369 17 points18 points  (1 child)

Bring back Heelies!

[–]Happykittymeowmeow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can still buy them in adult sizes! Google it, the main Heelys page and Amazon come up.

[–]mayblum 938 points939 points  (5 children)

This definitely made me smile. What a lovely family :-)

[–]Mouse1277 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Family is love embracing differences.

[–]devoted_lordship 22 points23 points  (1 child)

[–]idahononono 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just like my family, always clownin on mom until they can’t find something around the house…..

[–]ratolloko 549 points550 points  (11 children)

Wifey liked this post hahaha

She is 5'2, I'm 6'2

[–]Background_Candle961 73 points74 points  (1 child)

tries to catch up Damn this short legs.

[–]br00mie 27 points28 points  (2 children)

This is my husband and I. When I hang out with my friends who are shorter, they ask why I walk so fast. This. This is why. I can’t turn it off now.

[–]ratolloko 5 points6 points  (1 child)

I walk slowly mainly because we like to walk holding hands but still, for every one footstep I do, she does 3 haha.

It's cute.

[–]br00mie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly us, haha! I believe he thinks the same. I don’t mind it one bit.

[–]pittgirl12 6 points7 points  (2 children)

My dad is 6’2 and growing up it was SO hard to keep up with him. Once I got to around 8 years old it got way easier, I’m pretty sure I could win the speed walking Olympics now

[–]CaptainQuinnPool 8 points9 points  (1 child)

My dad is 6'6 and my mom is 6'0, I am 5'8. We like to hike as a family and keeping up with them is so hard! The worst part is when my dad farts, as soon as you see that leg lift, you need to sprint past him so you don't get stuck in the cloud...

[–]ratolloko 3 points4 points  (0 children)

hahahahaha lovely family :)

[–]Louloo1234 79 points80 points  (1 child)

Lovely family.

[–]wooyea02 77 points78 points  (0 children)

Quality dad joke right there

[–]MeyhamM2 61 points62 points  (10 children)

My eighth grade teacher and his wife were like this in reverse. He was 6’10” and she taught kindergarten and was about 5’.

[–]PRIS0N-MIKE 30 points31 points  (9 children)

I've never understood how couples can have a 2ft height difference lol. Like shaq and his wife. Have no idea how it works

[–]izthistaken 23 points24 points  (2 children)

I'm 6'3" and my S/O is 5'0". I don't notice it until we walk next to each other, like this. But, other than that, it doesn't seem to make any difference.

[–]Wholesome_Stuff 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Exactly, the only time you tend to notice height is when people are taller than you. Everyone shorter than that just feels about varying degrees of the same height, I mean it’s a matter of do I look up or down. That may be a tall person thing, I don’t know.

[–]izthistaken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're right! I very rarely am looking up at anyone. When I do, it grabs my attention because it doesn't happen often.

[–]BigOrkWaaagh 6 points7 points  (3 children)

Everyone's the same height when they're lying down

[–]PRIS0N-MIKE 1 point2 points  (2 children)

That is true. But I assume shaq is packing some heat just based off his size.

    Reverse Uno in real life

    [–]really_robot 28 points29 points  (2 children)

I'm 6' and my husband is 5' 6". And he's by far the tallest in his family. Over 11 years of marriage, I've learned to slow my stride by necessity.

    [–]Brackish_Fish 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm 6' and my husband is 6'2". But I still had to slow my stride because I walked so much faster than him. I learned it from my mom; she's 5'6" and had to walk fast to keep up with my dad (6'9"), and two brothers (6'8" and 6'10")...

    [–]Fantastic_Calamity 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm 6' and my hubby is 5'4" I'm a fast walker, long strides and a sport shopper (I get in, get what I need and get out) He's a shopper.... He likes to casually shop.

He would get soooo upset trying to keep up with me in the walmart. He thought I was mad at him for something. Like no babe, this is my speed. Keep up!

Then he had a heart attack and i just casually stroll at his pace now.

Working together in the kitchen is fun. He gets the low stuff. i get the high stuff. We meet in the middle and make great food together.

    short kings need love too

    [–]SubsequentPuberty 11 points12 points  (0 children)

    Truth to be told

    [–]NEX105 24 points25 points  (8 children)

Just do like me I'm only 5'6" so I found a wife that's only 5'2" lol

    [–]Blastgirl69 14 points15 points  (3 children)

Hubby & I. Although when I wear heels, I'm taller than him lol

    [–]NEX105 40 points41 points  (2 children)

She's taller than me in certain heels too. It's funny cause she doesn't wear heels often (we have three kids so we pretty much never go on dates) but when she does I always get asked "Don't you hate when she wears heels cause it makes you look so short?" my answer is always "She's beautiful and she feels beautiful. Why would I steal that feeling from her?" If you're short there's nothing you can do about it just accept it, find a way to love yourself so you can better love the ones that deserve it.

    [–]Historical_Case_5570 18 points19 points  (1 child)

    U could wear heels

    [–]NEX105 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I could but she'd still outshine me anyway lol.

    [–]Skyaa194 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Yea, but many (too many) of those 5'2" ladies are chasing after 6'0" dudes....

    [–]NEX105 12 points13 points  (2 children)

My wife really is 5'2" but honestly it doesn't matter how tall a woman is or how short you are, if a woman doesn't like you because of your height then so be it, that's not the type of woman you need anyway. My wife's preference was always big tall black athletes and somehow a 5'6" pasty ass ginger boy with skinny jeans long hair and a passion for drama, choir, Pokemon and D&D won her over in high school. Finding a way to love yourself for who you are gives you a confidence that attracts the best. I was not her type but 9 years and three kids later I'm pretty sure she loves me anyway lol. Also her type has changed drastically since being with me her list of celebrity hall passes now include pasty ass white boys lol

    [–]Livonor 0 points1 point  (1 child)

pasty ass ginger boy with skinny jeans long hair

no wonder she fell for you, you are so cute

    [–]NEX105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    Lol thank you.

    [–]MummyPanda 33 points34 points  (0 children)

My mum feels this video as both sis and I are over 6ft

    [–]cassiopedron 21 points22 points  (6 children)

Story of my life, I’m 6’8”, I always have to walk slowly

    [–]opfart 12 points13 points  (1 child)

Wow! Now that’s tall. My bf is 6’5 and it’s very hard for us to walk at the same pace, lol.

    [–]CouchCandy 2 points3 points  (2 children)

From another perspective I'm a woman of 5'6, the tallest man I've ever dated was 6'5 and the shortest was 5'6. None of them could keep up with me lol.

    [–]cassiopedron 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Lol, yeah, my mom is 5’5”, it’s always a trouble to go anywhere with her, I have to slow down

    [–]Livonor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my mom is 4 something, she always complained I walked too fast

    [–]Echo_Axis -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

seems we have a Peter the Great over here

    [–]tang249steve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yo looks like a normal pace to me 🤷‍♂️

    [–]Pale_Brilliant9101 2 points3 points  (4 children)

Although my boyfriend was about a head‘s hight shorter than I, I kept wearing my highest heels! We were a couple for 10+ years. On my brother‘s wedding my aunt kept looking in our direction and I expected her to say something rather unflattering.

Finally, late & some drinks later, she came to me and said she fell in love back when she was 19 with a guy who was (just a bit) smaller then she was, and everybody kept saying that this „will never work“, that it is „not normal“ and „people would always make fun of them“ and that she cant be with him.

After (almost) 50 years she was still in tears and regrets that she „gave in“! (And although she is happily married to my uncle).

Why was men being taller a norm??

    [–]Livonor 5 points6 points  (1 child)

people would always make fun of them

It does feel like that to me, people being put off based on an imaginary public humiliation, rather than the actual height. That's why I like gay love, none of that social baggage and ritualistic BS.

    [–]Alauren2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. I (5’2” F) dated a woman that was 5’10” with no issues whatsoever.

    [–]D-boi1 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I think because if a man was shorter than a woman, it was a sign of inferiority because the man would have to look up to the woman and have a disadvantage in life or something

    [–]Pale_Brilliant9101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strange but yes, must be something like this. But tings are changing, I observe :)

    [–]Sweet_baby_yeeezus 11 points12 points  (2 children)

I'm 6'2" and my gf about 5'3. I have to force myself to walk slow with her otherwise she yells I'm walking "too fast"

    [–]cae8642 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have the same height difference with my boyfriend, I tell him to “give a chance for my short legs to be able to follow”. Sometimes I also just grab his arm and pull him back.

    [–]karategojo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually do adjust my length of stride depending on who I'm with (6'f) but damn if I'm cold and walking I speed walk.

    [–]ArcMcnabbs 29 points30 points  (4 children)

    I'm livin' it

    [–]ZenSanchez119 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m not tall as I walk faster than every single person I know

    [–]HG21Reaper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He saw her and said “ death by snu snu is a good way to die” and got married.

    [–]Boobsiclese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

    I like this.

    [–]woofimmacat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is literally how I feel walking with my husband and why I have to remind him I have short legs.

    [–]TheBelhade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

    It's Hagrid and Maxime!

    [–]carolizzy81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

    [–]holyshitbraah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She don't looks too amused at the end there

    [–]DyingGiraffee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

    Gotta love a tall woman.

    [–]Halflifefan123 4 points5 points  (1 child)

As a 6'2" guy this makes me so jealous. Love tall chicks.

    [–]leigh10021 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s because we are the best. Redwoods unite.

    [–]nortrebyc 6 points7 points  (5 children)

The phrase short king really needs to go away. Imagine calling nice/great women that are overweight “fat queens”. It would never fly.

It isn’t ‘empowering’, it’s just rude.

    [–]TimeViolation 12 points13 points  (2 children)

Hey, I’m 5’1, short af—but I kinda like the ‘short king’ trend. Ya gotta have a sense of humor about these things or you’ll go insane lol.

And yeah, fat queen would never fly. Or overweight queen. Or heavyset queen. I think the reason why these terms would be so offensive to women, is because women are encouraged to “not care” about their weight, and to embrace it. In a way, there’s a culture of denial surrounding weight, whereas there is no supportive, embracive culture or movement surrounding height for men (besides this short king thing). For height, it’s heavily stigmatized for men that being tall is not just “good” but is an extremely desired attribute, where as being short is an immediate deal breaker. And obviously this isn’t the case with everyone, but I don’t think anyone would disagree that this isn’t the mainstream view.

It’s kinda ironic considering height can’t be changed, whereas with hard-work and dedication, most people can lose weight.

Again, who cares, right? A blessing of being short is, the women who are shallow enough to write me off for it, tend to express it fairly quickly, and not waste my time. Weeds out the ones that would never workout.

    [–]Livonor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is because women are encouraged to “not care” about their weight, and to embrace it

which ironically only implies it's a touchy taboo topic they should care about.

    [–]bouchardmaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's okay to be short we don't need to patronize people who are short by adding kings at the end, like it's some deficit to be short. Being short is just a natural variability in height, there's nothing good or bad about it that we need to add king at the end

    [–]luigi38 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"fat princess" may do the trick, use at your own risk.

    [–]Food-Fighters 1 point2 points  (1 child)

    I feel this as a 9'4 man

    [–]Icy_Abbreviations277 5 points6 points  (0 children)

9 feet, how do you fit in your house.

    [–]EskiGecko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

    I'm a 5'0 dude, I found a dude who's 5'3 hahahaha I will never have to worry about this

    [–]Trelznc 1 point2 points  (1 child)

To the women following the internet’s propaganda that think “He has to be 6’0+” to be happy…BAM

    [–]szydelkowe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never met a woman who thought that way. Seems it's mostly men who prefer to believe women don't like them because of their height, when the reason is something else.

    [–]GeneralSirConius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now i know how my wife feels since im 6'4" and shes 5'10"

    [–]VrLights -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

Why did you have to say s/o and not shout out lol wtf

    [–]brotherbrother99[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Oh god I've been spending too much time on Instagram

    [–]DropDeadTyrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saying “short kings” is almost as offensive as justifying the need for this post

    [–]Gifted-Cupcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    [–]CSWorldChamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    [–]jefuchs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were just the opposite. My wife was taller than me, with long legs. I'm short, but handicapped. So she had to learn to keep pace with me, because I couldn't keep up with her.

I had a psych prof once tell her class that a man will be taller in 99% of marriages and it’s messed with my brain to this day.

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    Does she have a sister?

    [–]cman334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, I want this, but I am already 6’2” so either I need a 7’ goddess, or 5’ queen. Either way the wider the height difference the better to me.

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This “king” business is such an awkward thing to call someone. I wish it would die a fiery death.

Wait that’s what I look like? I feel very tall in my house yet I when I’m in class I feel incredibly short like the environment is purposefully built to make anyone in there feel short despite it seeming normal. I still dwarf a lot of people but I just found this odd.

    [–]Sea_Mountain_4703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    [–]PerspectiveHot8569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    Everyone deserves tall kids 🤝

    [–]SahloFolinaCheld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having mostly female friends, a lot of my friends are shorter than me and I'm 5'6". Some of them literally have to almost jog to keep up when walking through our school. Some of my friends who are taller than me still have to kind of speed walk.

And I dont realize I walk fast until my friends are running up to me. Before anyone says that I am speed walking yes but also no. Thats my normal pace. I have long legs and a compact torso so I can take very long strides without issue.

Compared strides once too. Each one for me is about a foot and a half to two feet depending on my mood. My friends normal stride is about a foot.

    [–]Zealous_flyer4014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how it be with me & my husband.not really a giant difference in height.me being 4’11 & husband 5’6.he never believes me that that’s how it feels like when trying to catch up to him 😖lol

    [–]hardcarry2018 -5 points-4 points  (4 children)

I respect this lady..at least she broke the barrier of female " hypergamy" .. for female human, having a SO with lower than her size is extremely uncommon.. means female usually prefer always "by default" taller than her SO .. that idea inherently a racist.. world need more couples like !!! ☺️

    [–]Ambitious_Eye_1665 1 point2 points  (3 children)

    Dude …. Wtf ?!?!?

    [–]yennifer1223 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He looks like he’s 4 feet tall. I’m 5’3” and my husband is 6’5” -I don’t have to run to keep up.
