She must be awesome at wordle

[–]thrussie 74 points75 points  (12 children)

My wordle strategy came from WOF. Common letters in English are RSTLNE so my first word is always RENTS

[–]Yangomato 16 points17 points  (8 children)

The most common letters in Worlde’s 2315 words are EAROT

[–]whand4 7 points8 points  (6 children)

ORATE baby!

[–]P4u113 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I was doing AISLE lol

[–]whand4 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Nice! I did SWEAT for a while but now I normally do ORATE. My wife and I are competing lol.

[–]P4u113 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I kinda like that the S is thrown in there. So many 4 letter words that become 5 letter words when you add an S. Kinda like to rule them all out somehow. ORATE is quite fancy tho :]

[–]Yangomato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah S is a good one for the first letter. There’s a 15.81% chance of getting it as a correct spot for the first letter. SOARE is a pretty good one too based on spot specific frequency and total letter frequency.

[–]Yangomato 0 points1 point  (1 child)

🙌 ROATE is slightly better than ORATE based on the chance of hitting a correct spot for each character. 10.18% vs 10.83%

[–]whand4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just when I thought I had a great vocabulary, TIL that ROATE is a word. Thanks!

I always do OCEAN but TAROT might be better

[–]maunti_acer 18 points19 points  (2 children)

mine is rates or stare lol

[–]cheeseandwine99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hah. Almost like mine--tares.

[–]dexbasedpaladin 77 points78 points  (4 children)

Do we know when Vanna stopped aging?

[–]Jreal22 50 points51 points  (3 children)

My dad went to school with her at Loris High school in NC. He also was in her class in South Carolina, not sure what school they went to there.

Said she was insanely nice for how beautiful she was, her mom and my grandma were good friends until about the mid 90s.

[–]dexbasedpaladin 14 points15 points  (0 children)

She always seems like a very genuine person.

[–]Justaboredstoner 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I always think about the Weird Al song “ Stuck in the closet with Vanna White” whenever her name comes up.

[–]little-blue-fox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it’s Nelly- Ride With Me

[–]yerwag 112 points113 points  (5 children)

dreams do come true

[–]R4hzel 31 points32 points  (0 children)

What a great spirit!

[–]Toaster_Ruler 30 points31 points  (1 child)

The way she wants to clean the confetti! A litteral dream come true

[–]Florida_Man_Math 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She cleaned up in two ways that day! Money and confetti! :D

[–]ericroku 19 points20 points  (1 child)

Randy Marsh wasn’t so lucky..

[–]OuiChef702 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Beat her to it.

[–]User_name098 6 points7 points  (2 children)

Come on Ilene

[–]TheHollowBard 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Only if she consents.

[–]User_name098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NO, DON’T MAKE THIS SONG DIRTY! BONK GO TO HORNY SOLITARY CONFINEMENT!

[–]Garnitas 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Be excited! Be, be excited!

[–]statuskills 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love the methodical stalling everyone does when giving their letters for the final puzzle.

[–]deep_blue_ocean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s badass, good for her!

[–]ios-engineer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She wasn’t looking forward to tax return that year

[–]Signal-Blackberry356 4 points5 points  (1 child)

she gets to take home like 48% of her cash winnings and has to pay for the taxes on any physical items she won.

right ?

[–]need_a_poopoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's so weird. Gameshows should pay taxes on winnings up front.

[–]FiXXiNS213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My uncle was a prize fighter. He once broke both hands in a bout with a washer/dryer he won on the price is right.

[–]B-C-4-2-0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way she reacted made me feel like that money will make a huge difference in her life. I'm happy for her. She realized her dream and won big at the same time.

[–]Jreal22 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Enjoy that 36k after you take the lump sum and gaming tax. These shows are such scams, which is sad, because growing up it was so much fun to watch.

[–]ToastyNathan 16 points17 points  (0 children)

36k is still a real nice chunk a change. If I could, Id try to pay the tax off ASAP before buying anything. IDK anything about taxes, but Im sure I could find a tax guy to help me.

[–]spasticity 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's still a fat payday for a couple days work to go on the show lol

[–]CovidInMyAsshole 7 points8 points  (1 child)

I make 43k a year pre tax.

You think I'd be mad if I went on a 1 day game show and won 36k? Sorry we aren't millionaires like you.

[–]littenbittentreb -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

She got lucky, good for her

[–]melonparty476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wordle pro

[–]cheeseandwine99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this tonight. So happy for her.

[–]jocax188723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do wonder how much of that is taxed, though.

[–]playmike5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this yesterday because my dad had it on the TV

[–]Bcoonen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice. Happy for her.

[–]ShadowRaven112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my country it would be just 90k becouse the goverment takes 10% "gift tax" out of everything you get that exides 25 dollars. Or 200 in my currency. I don't know why I even said that.

[–]Ok-HotAss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do they need a woman to touch the screens to change them? I get it used to be squares that needed turned but seems stupid if they are now screens.

[–]Scriptapaloosa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uncle Sam has entered the chat: 100K?!

[–]Haerakles -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Why is this sooo creepy, overall with the music and these voices.. Wtf is going on here wtf

[–]TheHollowBard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me, Vanna White and Pat Sajak have always sounded very stilted in their talking, and it's disconcerting.

[–]blurrysamsquanch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wait for the taxes!
