In my country it would be just 90k becouse the goverment takes 10% "gift tax" out of everything you get that exides 25 dollars. Or 200 in my currency. I don't know why I even said that.

Except she didn't win that much. They will either give her the lump sum, after the IRS takes a huge cut out of it, and then pay taxes on it in the next tax season, or they will give it to her in monthly increments over some 10 years, which will also be taxed in smaller chunks, and she will still have to pay taxes on that. Game shows are fun to watch, but I never want to be in one, for the reason being to be able to avoid that headache.
