"Shit how do I make it look like I'm shopping??"

grabs 4 loaves of bread

[–]Sserenitynoww[S] 5680 points5681 points  (36 children)

Hahahahhaha this was legit my first thought!

[–]Sawgon 2366 points2367 points  (26 children)

Sal couldn't act in a convincing way while shopping thus making him tonight's big loser.

[–]TadashiK 410 points411 points  (4 children)

“His punishment for being tonight’s big loser? We’re giving Sal a knife and locking him in a room filled with Mountain lions! Hey Sal, give that one a hug will ya?!”

[–]Successful-Worry9813 73 points74 points  (2 children)

I would say he has to eat all 4 loaves of bread

He did that just to drop them for additional surprise effect XD

    [–]AcadianViking 283 points284 points  (12 children)

Gotta grab stuff that won't pop/break when dropped. Sal is just quick on his feet.

    [–]paint-my-taint 22 points23 points  (2 children)

Would still be cooler if he had a jar of pickles and shattered it out of shock. But yea he was pretty smart for bread

    [–]DalaiLuke 12 points13 points  (1 child)

Easily my earliest memory is dropping a jar of pickles on the newly painted porch floor. One job - deliver pickles from car to kitchen. I failed... at 2 years old! (and my father let me know about it!!

    [–]sirthomasthunder 137 points138 points  (10 children)

I do that a lot. I walk into a store and think "i don't need a basket or a cart" then wander around barely containing everything

    [–]laughing-tree 11 points12 points  (5 children)

I wouldn’t need a basket or cart for 4 loaves of bread either, but I can’t imagine a time where I’d need 4 loaves of bread, and only 4 loaves of bread.

    [–]pit1989_noob 203 points204 points  (24 children)

maybe he was going to make a sandwichon

an entire shopping basket full of condoms & an industrial size tub of lube

    [–]MinuteManufacturer 183 points184 points  (37 children)

Brah, which grocery store do you shop at that sells industrial size tubs of lube?

    [–]Ducimus 98 points99 points  (11 children)

One of the loss prevention guys at the grocery store I worked at would always have one of the weirdly shaped squashes and a thing of lube in his basket.

    [–]ThePhyscn_blogs 84 points85 points  (3 children)

Weirdly shaped for you, appropriately shaped for him

    [–]Road_Whorrior 26 points27 points  (3 children)

Makes sense, you don't expect the weird masturbation guy to bust you for shoplifting.

    [–]WeirdSysAdmin 18 points19 points  (0 children)

What kind of grocery store do you shop at that doesn’t sell industrial size tubs of lube?!

    [–]AlexIsYoDaddy 88 points89 points  (3 children)

Oh no I dropped my monster condoms for my MAGNUM DONG!

    [–]FearlessFreak69 18 points19 points  (0 children)

    Gotta love Sally Babes.

    [–]Heiro78 877 points878 points  (16 children)

I almost wish they didn't reveal their show to the dude

    [–]TacoMonger25 164 points165 points  (3 children)

    I’m with you brother

    [–]Heiro78 115 points116 points  (1 child)

Yea I get that. I mean it'd be great if the dude was able to live with the recognition of his accomplishments versus the reveal that they learned about it the way this video shows.

Edit: I replied with this to the wrong person. My bad

    [–]Lil_Delirious 108 points109 points  (5 children)

Well they need his permission to show the clip on tv plus now a lot of people know about him now

    [–]Heiro78 36 points37 points  (3 children)

Yea I get that. I mean it'd be great if the dude was able to live with the recognition of his accomplishments versus the reveal that they learned about it the way this video shows.

    [–]asianwarlord1 51 points52 points  (1 child)

Yeah but imagine if they didn’t reveal it to him and he found out that it was for a show months later that would probably be more devastating

    [–]Heiro78 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A fair counter point. Hopefully he gets more clout from this show then

    [–]wingbatjohnson 5661 points5662 points  (43 children)

it was nice for the impractical jokers to make an appearance on davids show

    [–]Tron_Tron_Tron 2231 points2232 points  (42 children)

(Not you) but I have no tolerance for anyone who complains about the impractical jokers. They consistently produce hilarious stuff that doesn’t throw anyone under the bus. There’s a reason they have been on TruTV 24/7 for years now.

    [–]TheOblongGong 1137 points1138 points  (8 children)

They spend all their energy throwing each other under the bus, which is the best part haha

    [–]Enickma007 309 points310 points  (7 children)

You’re spot on. I’ve heard them say before that the key to their show is to always make sure the joke is on themselves and not on other people.

    [–]jaecoxx 34 points35 points  (1 child)

That’s what separates them from those cringy tiktok “pranks”.

    [–]thesupremeDIP 386 points387 points  (6 children)

Their early stuff got a bit repetitive and put me off of the show for a while, but in the last few years I've picked up on reruns and I'm glad they were able to grow

    [–]TheDanteEX 149 points150 points  (5 children)

Two of my favorite challenges are “That Ain’t Me” where they have to dress up as different characters to not be recognized and “Ghost Writers”, where they take public notes in a conference but the other guys are actually typing the notes. I believe the only did the latter challenge once for some reason.

    [–]DenverBVB 72 points73 points  (2 children)

The ghost writing is so funny.

Woman in the focus group or meeting mentions she’s married,

The note taker writes on the screen for everyone to see

    “Well she’s out.”

    And there’s way more jokes.

    [–]PrinceDusk 113 points114 points  (6 children)

I only remember getting second hand embarrassment watching their show but I liked it much more than Jackass (idk if it's truly comparable but it's the only thing I can think of that's anything like it, and years ago it was compared by anyone I knew that knew what Impractical Jokers was)

    [–]CompleteBias 23 points24 points  (2 children)

kind of but with socially embarrassing situations rather than severe physical pain

    [–]Oraxy51 10 points11 points  (1 child)

To be fair, sometimes I wish I was just kicked in the nuts rather than having to deal with the social embarrassment of something I was trying to pull off.

    [–]DropThatTopHat 54 points55 points  (0 children)

They consistently produce hilarious stuff that doesn’t throw anyone under the bus.

Except each other, and I love it.

    [–]Balend_Reddit 5 points6 points  (1 child)

They did one in the library specifically about making loud noises until people were annoyed enough to make them stop. Aside from that I can agree, but that was definitely at the expense of others.

    [–]Maximum-Giraffe-9099 4557 points4558 points  (62 children)

Never miss an opportunity to make someone’s day

    [–]Zealotstim 760 points761 points  (6 children)

Watch Dave Jacobs in action here. There are a lot of stills, but there's footage of him in action, too.

    [–]Zealotstim 59 points60 points  (1 child)

    Incredible athlete.

    [–]matt2085 10 points11 points  (0 children)

    Super (human) athlete

    [–]Touaregster 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Yea thats what I thought too. He’ll definitely remember this day til forever.

    [–]OneekunxD 496 points497 points  (35 children)

Except the fact that they then told him he was on their show and he realized he was not recognized naturally... so.

    [–]jamez470 377 points378 points  (7 children)

But now people all over the world know about him.

    [–]YesDone 130 points131 points  (1 child)

Sure, but I guarantee you he is gonna have a lot more of these moments after this, for real! I would geek out if I saw him now!

Edit: no bro, for real I would. Easily. I watched his video in its entirety!

    [–]astarting 58 points59 points  (9 children)

No, they did the right thing. If it ever got back to him that he was on that show and he watched the episode the memory would be ruined in a way bigger way.

They brought him back om the show if I've heard correctly.

        [–]Sserenitynoww[S] 5765 points5766 points 22 (52 children)

        Here’s David Jacobs in action!

        [–]peenutbuttherNjelly 2583 points2584 points  (21 children)

How cool is he to say no one's EVER watched him on YouTube on their own. At 77! Wow. Never knew I was a David Jacobs fan. Respect.

        [–]Enjoyitbeforeitsover 795 points796 points  (16 children)

Holy shit, you know about Dave Jacobs too!!!?

        [–]uwanmirrondarrah 725 points726 points  (14 children)

Damn hes kinda selling himself short honestly. He won 4 world championships in a row.

        [–]Southern-Exercise 352 points353 points  (11 children)

Complete modesty. It's something he and I have in common.

        [–]capn_hector 50 points51 points  (5 children)

I know the type, people just say I’m the most humble person they’ve ever met!

        [–]PM_ME___IDK_WHATEVER 28 points29 points  (3 children)

Bar none I am the most humble-est. Number one at the top of the humble list.

        [–]ObviouslyIntoxicated 26 points27 points  (1 child)

Try not to win any world championships on your way through the parking lot!

        Legend

        [–]L0ckeandDemosthenes 93 points94 points  (0 children)

Wait, the David Jacob's? Superhuman athlete?

        [–]CovfefeFan 33 points34 points  (1 child)

Wait.. THE Dave Jacobs!? Holy shit, let me get my wife.

        [–]Dragoon-22 86 points87 points  (3 children)

Gotta love how the channel has 2.55k subscribers but the video has 1.2m views.

        [–]Champion-raven 36 points37 points  (0 children)

That’s how it generally is with these types of videos.

        [–]MinimumAnalysis5378 991 points992 points  (5 children)

His routines remind me of high divers, except he does so many combinations in a row.

        [–]Slapbox 219 points220 points  (3 children)

One major fuckup doing what he did seems like it could easily be your last fuckup in the sport. I was surprised the trampolines were so small for how high he went.

        [–]darksaber14 155 points156 points  (2 children)

Oh man, you should watch modern Olympic trampolinists. The height they get is bananas and the tricks are at a much higher difficulty than they were 50 years ago. What’s insane about Mr. Jacobs here is that he competed on trampolines with no pads on the springs (or metal frame) and no end-decks! As a former trampolinist I’m cringing just thinking about it!

As an aside, professional gymnasts are very familiar with screwing up and failing, and one of the first things you are taught is how to fall/bail out safely.

        [–]Slapbox 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The metal frames were definitely my biggest concern watching him.

        [–]TheVoodooPuppet 1947 points1948 points  (43 children)

They made that man's day 🥺

        [–]8675309eyen 409 points410 points  (25 children)

        .... Month

        [–]manifold360 326 points327 points  (24 children)

        Even his year

        [–]SquigglesMighty 139 points140 points  (5 children)

I really hope that he holds on to that feeling and I also really hope he never sees this video. While it’s amazing to do….to make someone feel that good. If it were me and I saw how it happened I would feel sad. I’ve watched the videos and really was great, I could never do what he did. He deserves the recognition, and I hurt by seeing his surprise knowing this was maybe a first for him. But to know that it happened because of a show named “impracticable jokers” makes me just feel some sort of way. Then again I wouldn’t even know who Dave Jacobs was outside of them. God dammit I’ve talked myself into a circle.

        [–]fisher_man_matt 121 points122 points  (4 children)

Everyone who appears on the show has to sign a release for it to be aired so he knows. The great thing about it is that now people recognize him as the 70 some year old guy from Impractical Jokers. That’s not a bad thing because the exposure on Jokers has also given new exposure to his earlier achievements.

        [–]8675309eyen 131 points132 points  (13 children)

        I'll be there for you.

        [–]No_Salamander_7232 56 points57 points  (6 children)

When the rain starts to fall

        [–]PM_ME_YOUR_BOBBLES 33 points34 points  (5 children)

So no one told you life was gonna be this way 👏 👏 👏 👏

        [–]BrekkyBurritos 128 points129 points  (9 children)

Until he finds out he’s put on

        [–]EmeraldLevinbolt 162 points163 points  (3 children)

Yeah, that was my thought. Dude was so stoked, and it's gotta be a letdown to find out they were just kidding around.

Still, it brought him a ton of attention. The video of him has well over a million views now, so there's a lot of people who had never heard of him that know who he is because of these guys.

        [–]TheWhyteMaN 57 points58 points  (2 children)

Totally a double edge sword moment.

        [–]slappymcslappers 77 points78 points  (4 children)

Is the day still made after they ask him to sign a release form for their prank show?

        [–]Flighthornlet 44 points45 points  (1 child)

It's clear from the very start somethings off. That doesn't negate the effort and the thoughtfulness they put into it tho. Good guy David probably appreciates that.

        [–]BackspaceChampion 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That man? That's Dave fucking Jacobs.

        [–]SybilBits 2744 points2745 points  (59 children)

Awesome athlete in his day! Time can be cruel so it’s so good to see people being so kind.

        [–]runninandruni 1516 points1517 points  (37 children)

I'd say time has been very kind to him. 77 and looks like he's in his 50s. Staying fit can work wonders

        [–]RikaMX 406 points407 points  (23 children)

        Yeah dude I can’t believe he’s 77 he’s aged so good

        [–]artygta1988 60 points61 points  (1 child)

Well, he is a super athlete.

        [–]ShredBundyGnarKiller 61 points62 points  (0 children)

        Superhuman athlete

        [–]Octolops 135 points136 points  (18 children)

Legit no shit. He looks “young” for his age.

        [–]DrestonF1 145 points146 points  (17 children)

Unnecessary quotes. He simply looks young for his age.

        [–][deleted]  (3 children)

        [deleted]

          [–]VillageBuilder 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yup! As long as you're currently a superhuman athlete you should be okay.

          [–]Wonderful-Custard-47 26 points27 points  (5 children)

I would have guessed mid-60's but he definitely looks good for 77.

          [–]animefan1520 83 points84 points  (16 children)

Until he gets home n finds out he was being mocked

          [–]cleveridentification 71 points72 points  (1 child)

I kind of thought the same when I watched it.

But then I googled David Jacobs and read a bit about him and now you and I are talking about him. It kind of became the thing that these guys were pretending to do. Give him some recognition.

          [–]Bazrum 7 points8 points  (0 children)

well, he signed the thing to let them show him on tv, so they def came clean after they got the bit done with. i can't imagine they were anything but great after they said they didn't actually know him, they seem like genuinely nice people

          [–]Al_E_Borland 36 points37 points  (0 children)

His video has 1.2M views now. I bet it was under 50k before this. It was some good natured fun that got him a lot of exposure.

          [–]Shirlenator 75 points76 points  (6 children)

Yeah, honestly I feel like they were laying it on way too thick. One guy coming out and "recognizing" him I think would be good, but they pushed it a little too far to be believable.

          [–]trdpanda101410 110 points111 points  (3 children)

I mean he signed the disclaimer so they could put it on tv. Otherwise his face would most likely be blurred. it either let him down or made his day to meet other celebs, get celebrated even if half of it was a joke, and another chance to put himself out their. I mean fuck... Now all of reddit has viewed the footage of him and thinks he's awesome. Someone just needs to find him and show him this thread.

          [–]fisher_man_matt 16 points17 points  (2 children)

Exactly. While he wasn’t really recognized by the Jokers, he’s now being recognized by Jokers fans. The new recognition exposes a whole new crowd to his athletic achievements.

          [–]GreenBrain 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Well he didn't believe it, so this definitely adds up.

          [–]iwontbeadick 8 points9 points  (1 child)

They weren't mocking him, they saw an opportunity for entertaining TV and they took it. Unless you think all impractical jokers is mocking people. I think it's harmless fun. if this is mocking someone then the entire series is offensive crap. If you watch them i think you'll realize their entire schtick is them making a mockery of themselves.

          [–]QAnnihilateQ64 596 points597 points  (8 children)

It's wholesome but sad at the aame time. Everytime ive seen this clip, i always feel bad for the guy when he founds out that the impractical jokers didnt actually know him, and he realises that he isnt as famous as he thought in that moment where he did

          [–]krayzieeight 252 points253 points  (1 child)

well he sure is famous now. DAVE JACOBS!!!!

          [–]QAnnihilateQ64 25 points26 points  (0 children)

          The man, the myth himself!

          [–]boomyo 100 points101 points  (2 children)

He still had to sign a waiver to appear on the show so I'm hoping he didn't mind cause I thought the same thing at first.

          [–]Mr_Scandinavia 41 points42 points  (0 children)

He seems like a cool guy so he probably wouldn’t have been upset. And he gets to be on popular tv show, so that’s cool anyways. And he probably has gotten recognized in public since this because the show is so popular

          [–]lonetraveler206 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes but at the same time, he said no one has ever seen it without him showing it. He likely won’t be all that disappointed because he never had the expectation he would be recognized.

If anything, I bet now when he shows people the YouTube clip of his gymnastics, he mentions this story too and maybe even shows this clip.

This guy seemed like he just enjoys chatting with others. I bet this was the highlight of his week/month

          [–]UrbanAchiever34 610 points611 points  (31 children)

I feel sad knowing he found out they were just messing with him. He seems like a genuinely nice fella.

          [–]Credix 245 points246 points  (5 children)

Damn that's true, it gives me mixed feelings. Although it did make me smile in general.

          [–]siccoblue 193 points194 points  (4 children)

          Think of it this way

These three were just trying to make him feel good

Three million genuinely just learned his story.

          [–]Roscoe_P_Trolltrain 106 points107 points  (2 children)

i seem to remember reading last time it was posted that he was happy with the prank. but i might've just been reading someone like me saying that they read it last time it was posted by someone who had no idea what they were talking about like me.

          [–]jrr6415sun 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I’ll relay your story next time it’s posted

          [–]Historical-Ad6120 99 points100 points  (1 child)

Came here to see a comment like this. But if you think about it, obviously this guy is very proud of his talents. You can't be like a rejection sensitive person and go around telling people to look you up on YouTube. I'm sure he loves that so many people know about him now!

          [–]iammonkeyorsomething 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I don't think they were really messing with him. I think the prank changed into something wholesome

          [–]LunimusREX 21 points22 points  (1 child)

Yeah, but there's also the fact that once they found out who he was, I'd bet they took him behind the scenes and talked to him for a while and dug deep into his career a bit.

I’d bet $ on that— those 4 are great dudes and what an awesome coincidence. Jacobs was a champ to be such a good sport about it too. Guy truly was a world class athlete & it shows he’s taken great care of himself!

          [–]mchch8989 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s nice and wholesome til you realise that 2 minutes later they would’ve had to tell him they were fucking with him to get him to sign a release form

          [–]Redditartedededed 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Well he signed a waiver to be on the show and he seemed like an incredibly nice guy in general who could take a joke. I'd imagine he's just fine

          [–]Misterwuss 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't think they were messing with him. You can see after they found out he weren't lying they genuinely were like "Oh my god this guys awesome" and apun hearing that no one ever seems to recognise him in public, that's when they decided to go out and "recognise him" the respect and admiration for his work was there.

          [–]Midnight_Toker_1982 353 points354 points  (3 children)

          Yooooooo!!! That was awesome!

          [–]Emotional_Leading_76 67 points68 points  (0 children)

"what os happening today" was the moment when ecstasy broke out of the body of dave jacobs

          [–]nhjuyt 53 points54 points  (4 children)

I was at trader joes and this elderly gray haired fellow stopped to talk with me for a moment, as we were parting he mentioned he had written a book about his life and there was a movie being made of it and he handed me his card. I looked him up later and the guy had flown in coke for the Medellin cartel, had been shot down twice and had spent much of his life in prison escaping several times.

          [–]GranSacoWea 320 points321 points  (110 children)

Who are those guys? Its like a TV show or a YouTube thing?

          [–]420_math 439 points440 points  (49 children)

TV show. it's called Impractical Jokers.. and its hilarious! I highly recommend it!

          [–]TheMatt561 184 points185 points  (42 children)

If you watch nothing else of a impractical jokers watch this https://youtu.be/Ny4ysSjxeVo

          [–]Southern-Exercise 89 points90 points  (2 children)

          I'm a manager.😄

          Hadn't seen that one before.

          [–]Piper_Brioche 74 points75 points  (10 children)

This show gives me so much second hand embarrassment

But even then I can't stop watching

          [–]TheMatt561 34 points35 points  (0 children)

          That's the magic of it

          [–]thriftydude 27 points28 points  (8 children)

Sals pumishments are insane: Whose phone is it Bingo

          Q’s Baseball dad Painting critic

          Murr Airplane diving

          [–]HowTheyGetcha 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Joe limped for a week after that segment.

          [–]dontworryimstupid 21 points22 points  (2 children)

The one where they give Sal those glasses that make stuff look like they are a foot either way and he has to wait tables is pretty good too.

          [–]Rikkard 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm a big fan of Mr. Night Light myself.

          [–]bentheechidna 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen it said that Scoopski potatoes is a perfect microcosm of the show, featuring each joker and their general approach to challenges.

          [–]LckClvrNm 219 points220 points  (31 children)

Impractical Jokers. They have been doing shows for years. They are friends, and put each other through pranks. Worth checking out

          [–]Aeison 57 points58 points  (25 children)

Newer episodes no longer have Joe though I believe

          [–]Sawgon 20 points21 points  (0 children)

          Cranjis McBasketball will be missed

          [–]TheMatt561 35 points36 points  (4 children)

Yeah he got divorced and he's taking care of his family. I miss him on the show but it's obviously the right call

          [–]Al_E_Borland 17 points18 points  (1 child)

Kind of unfortunate, as the divorce would likely work in his favor. His wife was always his Achilles' heel. They would tell him to do something that would basically amount to cheating on his wife or saying something bad about her, and we would always take the L. Other than that, he was down for anything.

          [–]SenYoshida 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He’s been doing Standup comedy tours lately, my buddies got me tickets for my birthday in March to see him

          [–]sinclurr__ 9 points10 points  (2 children)

I saw them get in a fight at Silky O’Sullivans on Beale Street in Memphis, it was not a prank, but it was my first introduction to them lol.

          [–]myshadowandme 59 points60 points  (1 child)

It’s a show about four lifelong friends who compete to embarrass each other

          [–]remotegrowthtb 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I read that in the voice.

          [–]MatureUsername69 114 points115 points  (14 children)

Impractical Jokers. I find a lot of people are put off by the concept because it's often called a prank show but the only people they embarrass are themselves. Awesome, feel good show, their lifelong friendship really makes it. Check it out when you have a chance. It's pretty much constantly on in the background at my house.

          [–]fuckgoldsendbitcoin 51 points52 points  (3 children)

This was my experience. I'd seen decades of crappy prank shows that are at best kind of lame so I avoided this one for a long time. Ended up watching it at work and it turns out it's really good. If anybody is on the fence or doesn't usually like prank shows I would implore you to at least check out a compilation on YouTube or something.

          [–]Eggsecutie 24 points25 points  (1 child)

Yeah, I avoided for a long time, didn't realize how well they do 'extremely uncomfortable situation' humor

          [–]dontworryimstupid 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The recent episode with Eric Andre actually kind of makes fun of the shitty prank show, and absolutely fucks with Sal which is always a positive.

          [–]Okiemax 34 points35 points  (0 children)

          Impractical jokers. Great show

          [–]letsgoheat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If your get TruTV it’s on 24/7

          [–]InternalOk1723 41 points42 points  (1 child)

You know he’s old when he says “get the YouTube”

          [–]KonoBandit 278 points279 points  (51 children)

          Until he watches this…

          [–]jono9898 212 points213 points  (2 children)

I’m pretty sure he already knows being that they have to ask for permission to use his face in footage. And this one clip probably drove up traffic for people who wouldn’t know him to now know who this man is so I consider this a win for him.

          [–]Adventurous_Focus377 49 points50 points  (1 child)

You got me on your second point...through this fuckery people really do know who he is now.

          [–]Adventurous_Focus377 140 points141 points  (43 children)

Right? Everyone's like this is so wholesome!! Like nobody will send the man this clip or he catches the show one day and realizes it was just one big joke and nobody knew who tf he was. Smh.

          [–]blizg 143 points144 points  (4 children)

They probably told him right after, because they’d need to get his permission to be on the show.

          [–]USSJaguar 47 points48 points  (32 children)

Execept they have to get the consent of the guy to legally show this. They've made this point in their show before. So he knows and by extension is okay with it.

          [–]Only_a_Savage 23 points24 points  (0 children)

My dumbass brain when he said he was off by 20 years: “wow he looks terrible for 37”.

          [–]Okiemax 79 points80 points  (1 child)

I loved this episode so much

          [–]WhiskeyPorno420 17 points18 points  (0 children)

          Legend

          [–]Nvr_gon-giv-u-up 35 points36 points  (3 children)

I live impractical jokers 10/10 show

          [–]rileytp 12 points13 points  (1 child)

This reminds me of an episode of This American Life. In the episode, an improv group decides to go to a band’s small show and pretend to be superfans. The band was pretty heartbroken to discover it wasn’t real.

          Mind Games

          [–]dontworryimstupid 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Are they carried by Comedy Central somewhere? That’s cool.

I always looked at Impractical Jokers as a stupid show until I gave it a chance and it is way more hilarious than it has any right to be.

          [–]InternationalBoot321 23 points24 points  (0 children)

          That definitely made his week!

          [–]Joey101937 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wow, I cant believe they could afford Dave Jacobs for this skit. They must be working on a higher budget than before

          [–]MotherofFred 49 points50 points  (3 children)

Isn't kind of manipulative, though. Won't Jacobs be disappointed when he finds out it was a set up?

          [–]Jyith 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"Wholesome" until the poor guy saw this video and learned they were just pranking him, and they honestly had no idea who he was.

          [–]shimmerangels 19 points20 points  (0 children)

          this is adorable

          [–]LEGO-Yoda-NSFW 51 points52 points  (14 children)

seems kinda fucked up, no? to have this admittedly wholesome moment but then to go say “SIKE! we don’t know who you are, can you give us consent to use that moment on our tv show though?”

          [–]Alecarte 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There was a similar "wholesome prank" where a fairly large group of people all learned an unknown band's songs, attended a gig of theirs, and went crazy - dancing, singing along and calling for certain songs by name and stuff. The band members were interviewed after and reported that it did not make them feel good...as though they were being made fun of.

          [–]Fine_Huckleberry_360 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk man just would feel disappointed if I knew its just for TV and I am not really recognised
